    In 1977, Marilyn Muchowich Stanley packed up her kids, left Colorado, and came home to Texas to join Offshore Oil Services, the family business her grandparents Anna and Captain Carl had started. With one company boat, no job description, and a dock full of skeptics, she learned the business from the ground up: gauging fuel tanks, running a forklift (with one memorable gust of wind), and playing bourré in the break room. On this episode of Maritime in America, co-hosts Aaron Smith, Ashley Smith, and Angelle Johnson sit down with Marilyn, this year's Robert J. Alario Distinguished Achievement Award recipient. She shares how she built programs to keep mariners for their whole careers, became president of the Offshore Oil Services in 1990, and passed the torch to her daughter Stacy to create a fourth-generation, woman-owned company.     What does the maritime industry look like from every angle?     Otto Candies III, Chairman and CEO of Otto Candies LLC and one of OMSA's longest-serving board members, joins co-hosts of Maritime in America, Aaron Smith, Ashley Smith, and Angelle Johnson to talk about family legacy, integrity in business, and why the Jones Act remains the foundation of the American offshore industry.
