    Chapter 4: The Long Goodbye

War begins as Destiny and the allied fleet make a slow, calculated advance from Eden, using themselves as bait to lure drone forces away from the planet. Eli deploys thousands of custom-built guardian drones—designed with Ursini, Ancient, and human technology—to shield the entire fleet in a perfect defensive sphere. As the waves of enemy drones intensify, the Hopebringer battleship reveals its devastating power, obliterating multiple drone carrier ships without taking a single hit. Meanwhile, Eden—the planet that served as their sanctuary for 15 years—begins to shut down. Cities dim block by block, artificial systems powering off as the planet enters its final phase. Its star, once stable and life-giving, begins an unnatural, deliberate dimming. Eli realizes Eden and the star were never meant to function without Destiny. The entire system was designed to support life only when the ship remained in orbit. With Destiny gone, the loop is broken—and the star begins to collapse. As the Nakai fleet arrives to claim Destiny, Eden’s star goes supernova, destroying the Nakai battalion. The Destiny fleet escapes through FTL just in time, mourning the loss of their home. While in transit, crewmembers reflect on Eden—what it gave, and what it meant. Relationships deepen, grief is shared, and resolve is strengthened. Upon arrival at the drone homeworld, they find a planet-sized mechanical construct surrounded by weaponized moons, carrier drones, and a field of wreckage. But instead of attacking, the drones halt. A test is issued in ancient language. Eli answers, invoking the legacy of the four great races: the Ancients, Asgard, Nox, and Furlings. A mysterious vessel appears with a new message: “I am curious. Let’s chat.” Elsewhere, deep in the uncharted void, a hidden intelligence awakens—ancient, powerful, and now watching Destiny. The question resurfaces:“Who controls the end?”

Chapter 1: The 15 Year Old Grudge

Fifteen years after Earth's controversial attempt to use Langara's Stargate to dial the Ninth Chevron and reconnect with Destiny, the peaceful, self-sufficient planet finds itself under siege—not by force, but by infiltration. Despite Langara’s isolation and advanced planetary defenses, the Lucian Alliance orchestrates a quiet, calculated takeover from within. Disguised as allies, they exploit political corruption, manipulate infrastructure, and finally dismantle Langara’s defense grid, seizing control in a single night. Commander Rathis Varok, brother of Commander Kiva, leads the invasion. Consumed by revenge and driven by his sister’s failed attempt to claim Destiny, Varok now seeks to finish what she started. Langara, with its Naquadria-rich core, becomes his gateway to that goal. To activate the gate and reach Destiny, he demands Earth send Dr. Rodney McKay, Dr. Daniel Jackson, and Colonel David Telford under the guise of diplomacy. Stargate Command intercepts intel about the coup before the transmission arrives. With little time and fewer options, they agree to send the requested team—backed by secret reinforcements and the warships George Hammond, Apollo, Odyssey, and Daedalus. But Langara has been sealed behind a planetary shield—Ori tech, not Lucian. Communications go in, but nothing can get out. Upon arrival, McKay and the others are ambushed and brought to Haven, Langara’s capital. There, Varok executes civilians to force cooperation. As McKay races to stabilize the dialing process, he deceives the Alliance into lowering the planetary shield. This gives Carter and her team aboard the Hammond just enough time to begin beaming civilians and wildlife off-world. But the gate’s activation creates an uncontrollable power surge—Destiny's address locks, and Langara’s unstable core begins to collapse. As Arkad and his forces rush through the gate, McKay and the science team are forced to follow. Behind them, Langara is destroyed in a planet-wide cataclysm of fire and seismic fury, leaving nothing but debris scattered in space. The last image is seen from orbit: a once-beautiful world, gone in a violent, apocalyptic scream. And somewhere beyond the stars… Destiny waits.
