    The Family of God is a Family for Real? - Global Methodist Voices - Dr. Rich Griffith

    "Family" has become to mean husband, wife, and 2.5 kids in society these days, but according to Dr. Rich Griffith (and the Bible), that is not a full understanding of the Gospel, or the ways that Jesus defines family. Author, Professor, Pastor, Speaker, and Parent, Dr. Griffith talks this time about how churches can really begin to reimagine "church" as a family, which makes a lot of sense as it is the title of his most recent book! What would the church look like if it embraced more intergenerational ministry where children sat with people who were their grandparents' age and learned to worship? What would it be if we actually showed up for each other, if we treated church members as family members? What would it be if we embraced families that look different than our ideas like single parents, moms or dads, adoptive parents, foster parents, grandparents, widows, orphans, and the list goes on?     Czech Republic isn't in North Georgia... - Global Methodist Voices - Robin Parr

    The Czech Republic may not be in North Georgia, but North Georgia GMC has been to the Czech Republic. Beginning with summer mission camps to bring the Gospel to the Czech Republic, a relationship was formed with the Methodists in the very center of Europe. Rev. Robin Parr was asked if she wanted to go, and the Holy Spirit slowly changed her heart to spend and serve a local church in the Czech Republic in 2026, preaching for about 3 months, meeting with college students, bringing hope to the sick, and encouraging the pastors that are serving in churches filled with our brothers and sisters in Christ! It's an option for other pastors to step into heading into 2027 and possibly beyond. Is God calling you to the Czech Republic? Reach out to Rev.     Camp Evergreen: Everything you need, and nothing you don't - Global Methodist Voices - Toby Grady

    Unplugged, rustic, camp ministry as it was back in the day is how you will find Camp Evergreen in Rabun County, GA. Rev. Toby Grady, Camp Pastor, and his wife, Katie, Camp Director, have poured their lives into creating a place where kids can engage with God through creation and relationships over the last 25 summers. This year, the North Georgia GMC has partnered with Camp Evergreen to bring a Christ-centered camp experience for the children and teens of North Georgia. Hear about what a day in the life of a camper will look like, how purposely Camp Evergreen Directors and all staff take camper safety, and how a week unplugged could change our children's lives for the better.     Pierce Memorial Methodist Church in Sparta, GA has an amazing leader in Skye Gess! As the Solicitor General of Baldwin County, GA, she has the opportunity to do ministry daily within her work, and then she helps see how the Kingdom of God can advance at her local church. Working with Young Adults, Youth, Women's Ministry, Wednesday Fellowship Dinners, and so much more, there is a passion at Pierce Memorial to engage the community and spur one another in love! AND Skye even saw how God could work as churches came together in Charge Conference! In the area?     Is It I Lord? - Global Methodist Voices - Jay Allred

    Here I am Lord. Is it I Lord? You might have sung this before and meant it, but this song mattered to Jay Allred at the first North Georgia Annual Conference. As a member of Wesley Methodist in LaGrange, an engaged volunteer, a delegate to General Conferences, and more, Jay has lived out the call to be a member of the local church and get involved with the ministry that Jesus has led him into.     Banded in Discipleship - Global Methodist Voices - Brandon Brown

    At the beginning of 2025, Brandon Brown heard his Pastor, Fletcher Law of Homer Methodist Church preach about Bands. Bands are Wesleyan groups of gathered believers that meet to grow in their holiness, accountability, and love for one another in a very small group. Well, Brandon took this seriously and immediately prayed and started a Band. Now, just a few months later, there is already growth in the Bands. They are beginning multiple bands of discipleship and helping each other become the followers of Jesus that they are called to be, together. Take a listen to hear about doing it when you aren't quite sure you know how to do it, that starting is probably one of the hardest parts, and that God is working in the lives of the people involved with the bands in Homer.
