Two Pregnant Women, One Big Reality Check

Pregnancy… the magical, glowing, blissful experience we’re all told to expect, right? Well jokes on us but not quite! In episode 78, I’m joined by one of my clients Kailee, who just happens to be 21 weeks pregnant, due only a few days apart from me. After both having a really rough first trimester, we found ourselves laughing about just how unglamorous, uncomfortable and downright bizarre pregnancy can be and of course I decided we needed to talk about it. This episode is a very real, very unfiltered conversation between two pregnant women who are currently in the thick of it. We’re talking about the nausea, exhaustion, weird symptoms, body changes, emotional rollercoasters, exercise, expectations, and all of the things nobody really prepares you for when you find out you’re growing a human. Because pregnancy isn’t always glowing skin, cute bumps and magical moments. Sometimes it’s feeling completely exhausted, crying over absolutely nothing, being repulsed by foods you used to love, wondering if you’ll ever feel like yourself again and counting down the minutes until you can go to bed. And that’s okay. This episode is a reminder that you can be incredibly grateful for your baby and still find pregnancy really, really hard. You can love your growing baby and not love every moment of pregnancy. You can feel excited, overwhelmed, emotional, exhausted and grateful, sometimes all in the same day. If you’re pregnant, have been pregnant, are thinking about becoming pregnant, or simply want to hear two women have a very honest and funny conversation about what pregnancy is actually like, grab a cuppa, settle in and have a laugh with us. 5 Emotional Coaching Strategies For Your Child

What if your child’s big emotions aren’t something you need to stop or fix but an opportunity to connect, teach and help them develop the skills they’ll carry into adulthood? In Episode 77, we discuss The Gottmans Emotional Coaching Framework which is "The Five Emotional Coaching Strategies for Your Child". These 5 strategies are practical, research informed tools to help you respond to your child’s emotions with greater understanding, connection and confidence. Children aren’t born knowing how to regulate their emotions, communicate what they’re feeling or know how to navigate disappointment and frustration. These are skills they learn through relationships, modelling and repeated experiences. The goal isn't to raise children who never experience anger, sadness, frustration, jealousy or disappointment. The goal is to raise children who eventually learn: "I can feel this feeling, I can understand it, communicate it and get through it". You can find the 5 EMOTIONAL COACHING STRATEGIES via the link below: https://canva.link/w47jz1davnem8iw Please note this episode is educational and is not a substitute for individual professional parenting, psychological or therapeutic advice. How To Stop Fighting The Season Of Life That You Are In

Have you ever found yourself constantly thinking about what you should be doing, achieving, fixing or juggling next? In episode 76, I explore a question a friend recently asked me that genuinely stopped me in my tracks: “What season of life are you in?” It made me realise how much of my life I’ve spent trying to do it all; that is keeping every ball in the air, making sure everyone else’s cup is full and continuing to push forward even when my own cup was running dangerously low. But what if we aren’t actually supposed to have everything perfectly balanced all the time? What if life is made up of different seasons, seasons of growth, ambition, motherhood, healing, rebuilding, rest, change and simply putting one foot in front of the other? In this episode, we explore: ✨ The pressure of wanting to “do it all” and "do it all now" ✨ The difference between balance and constantly juggling ✨ Why comparing your life to someone else’s can make you resent your own season ✨ How constantly pushing can leave us burnt out and disconnected from ourselves ✨ Why “not now” doesn’t have to mean “never” ✨ Giving yourself permission to prioritise what actually matters right now ✨ The grief that can come with letting go of the version of yourself you thought you needed to be ✨ And some questions to help you identify the season you’re currently in Because perhaps having it all doesn’t mean having it all at the same time. Situationships, Hookups & Swiping - The Reality Of Dating in 2026

Dating in 2026… What the hell is actually going on??? In episode 75, I’m joined by my friend, trainer and fellow KFIT gal, Sophie, for a very different kind of conversation. We’re putting the serious stuff aside for a little while and having a chilled, unfiltered chat about what it’s really like to be single and dating in in 2026. From dating apps and awkward first dates to situationships, ghosting, hookups, mixed signals and getting left on read, we’re unpacking the highs, lows and absolute chaos of modern dating. We chat about whether people are actually looking for relationships anymore, whether hookup culture has replaced genuine connection, why everyone seems to be hiding behind a screen, and whether dating apps have made it easier or harder to find someone you actually connect with. And of course, there are plenty of laughs, dating icks, red flags, funny stories and some brutally honest opinions along the way. This one is lighthearted, honest and definitely not a relationship advice episode, it's simply two women having a conversation about the weird, wonderful and sometimes absolutely ridiculous world of dating in 2026. So grab a cocktail (as Sophie would say), settle in and come have a laugh with us. This is the KFIT Mind & Body Podcast. Real Talk, Womens Talk. Understanding Your Nervous System

Have you ever felt like you’re constantly on edge, overwhelmed, anxious, reactive or unable to switch off? One of my beautiful listeners reached out and asked me to talk about the nervous system because she felt like she was constantly stuck in fight or flight and wanted to understand how she could break free from survival mode. Episode 74 is inspired by the Nervous System Workshop that I recently ran, where we explored what the nervous system actually is, why it responds the way it does, how our experiences can shape our nervous system patterns, and what our bodies might be trying to communicate to us. In this episode, I discuss: ✨ What the nervous system actually is and how it works ✨ The difference between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems ✨ Fight, flight, freeze and fawn responses ✨ Why you might feel constantly stuck in survival mode ✨ How your experiences, relationships and environment can shape your nervous system ✨ How to recognise the signs your body is giving you ✨ Practical ways to support and regulate your nervous system in everyday life ✨ How to start listening to your body instead of constantly fighting against it I’ve taken everything we explored in the Nervous System Workshop; the research, the knowledge, the reflection exercises and journaling prompts and turned it into a Nervous System WORKBOOK that you can work through at your own pace. Take some time to slow down, tune in and listen to what your body has been trying to tell you. You don’t need to fix yourself. You might just need to understand yourself a little better. The Video I Almost Didn't Post - Do You Have The Confidence To Post That "Bad" Photo?

Episode 73 started with a moment in my car when I looked at myself on camera and immediately hated what I saw. I felt puffy. I didn't feel confident. I didn't feel like myself. And as someone navigating the changes that come with the second trimester of pregnancy, I found myself being incredibly hard on the person looking back at me. I recorded the video. Deleted it. Recorded it again. Deleted it again. And then I had to ask myself, what am I actually teaching myself every time I hide because I don't feel good enough? So, I posted it anyway. Not because I suddenly loved how I looked. Not because I felt confident. But because I realised that if I continue waiting until I feel "good enough" before I allow myself to be seen, I'm slowly shrinking myself. In this episode, we talk about the uncomfortable moments where we have the choice to either retreat into our old patterns or challenge ourselves to do something different. Because maybe confidence isn't about loving every photo of yourself. Maybe confidence is having the courage to show up even when you don't too. This is the KFIT Mind & Body Podcast. How To Build A Life That Works For You With UGC & Content Creator, Bel Essex

In Episode 72, I’m joined by Bel, a mum of two, UGC creator and content creator who has intentionally built a career around the life she wants to live. Together, we dive into the realities of balancing motherhood, fitness, family life and a thriving career, while giving yourself permission to embrace the season of life you’re currently in. We chat about the pressure so many women feel to “do it all,” and why true balance isn’t about being everything to everyone all at once. Instead, it’s about recognising what’s most important in the season you’re in, communicating with those around you, and creating a life that aligns with your values. We also explore how Bel's journey as a UGC & content creator has opened doors she never imagined, what it’s really like showing up online every day, and how she navigates self doubt, overwhelm and the constant juggle of wearing so many hats. This conversation is full of honest reflections, practical insights and encouragement for every woman trying to build a life she truly loves. This is the KFIT Mind & Body Podcast. I Am Drowning In Mum Guilt: Surely I Am Not Alone?

Episode 71 wasn’t the episode I had planned to record... It was recorded after a very real, raw moment when I let my dysregulated nervous system get the better of me and I regretfully snapped at my daughter. The mum guilt that followed hit me harder than I expected. I questioned myself, replayed the moment over and over, and found myself spiralling into shame. In this episode, I’m opening up about exactly what happened, how I felt afterwards, and the steps I took to repair the relationship with my daughter. Because while we can’t always prevent the hard moments, we can choose how we respond to them. If you’ve ever lost your patience, raised your voice, walked away feeling like you’ve failed, or wondered if you’re the only mum who feels this way, this episode is for you. If this episode resonates with you, I’d love for you to share it with another mum who needs to hear this reminder today. Together, let’s normalise the conversations around motherhood, nervous system regulation, and giving ourselves the same grace we so freely give everyone else! This is the KFIT Mind & Body Podcast.
