We are three best friends who think that we are funny, witty, clever, and interesting. We are also huge geeks who love to play tabletop RPGs like Dungeons and Dragons, Call of Cthulu, everything from World of Darkness, and - of course - Star Wars. (Among others ... there is not an RPG that we won’t try.) We want to share that love of playing pretend with you.

Welcome to Boring, NY: A Cthulhu Story Part XIII

Otto is incapacitated after running out of cocaine. Kristoff makes breakfast while Rosie wakes up after spending the night with Luna, who quietly departs but promises Rosie they'll meet again. The Robbery During a routine perimeter check, Kristoff discovers: Tracks from multiple people around the farm. The artifact shed has been searched. The car trunk has been broken into. Nearly all of the group's magical artifacts have been stolen, including several dangerous items like the zombie staff and other cursed relics. The moonshine ("hooch") was left untouched. The party also finds: Expensive cigar butts near the crime scene. Footprints from both boots and loafers. No supernatural traces. Investigation The group splits up. Vivian and Ash Visit the bar to ask about the cigar. Learn the cigar is commonly smoked by the town's academic elite, professors, and the mayor, making it a weak lead. Begin considering whether the mayor or City Hall should be investigated. Kristoff and Rosie Visit the cigar shop. Learn: The mayor and nearly all professors buy the same expensive Cuban cigars. Most professors wear loafers; Professor Jones is the notable one who wears boots. Buy a box of cigars and unsuccessfully try to buy marijuana ("jazz cigars"). Visit the gun shop hoping to acquire armor, but the shopkeeper says it would take two weeks to order any. Check the docks and notice shipments from Egypt, sparking suspicion. Head toward the docks/customs office, intending to use their new deputy badges to investigate further. Key Developments The party's cache of magical artifacts has been stolen. Physical evidence points toward wealthy or academic suspects, but nothing is conclusive. The mayor, professors, and possibly City Hall become primary persons of interest. The group begins a town-wide investigation using their new authority as deputies.
