Boymoms Overcoming Obstacles - Mom Empowerment & Faith

irandachavez

Hey BoyMoms, Thank you so much for tuning in today on my BoyMom’s Overcoming obstacles podcast. First I would like to share some background on why I started this podcast, but first let me introduce myself my name is Iranda. My name is spelled like Miranda without the M. I was born and raised here in South Texas. I was blessed with three boys, they are now young men. My husband and I have been married for over 30 years. So we went through the good, the bad and the ugly raising our boys as I would like to describe it. I feel led to encourage other boymoms from a mother’s perspective and just to give words of encouragement. You see I get it and believe me, I’ve been through some stuff, but I’m not here to dwell on the negative things on what I went through, but just to encourage you. if you are in a season of feeling confused, lost or feel overwhelmed at this moment, I want to share with you, ”this too shall pass”. That’s one of my favorite quotes to remind me that the stresses and anxieties of life doesn’t always have to win. There will be days when you feel that things are getting better, then unexpectedly you get a setback. but my faith in God is what I have learned to lean on and He has really shown me and got me through some difficult times. So I just want to help other moms to stay encouraged and rely on God’s strength. That is one of the reasons why I started this podcast and another reason is to just remind you to always take care of yourself moms. By nature, we moms tend to always want to fix things for our children, but the word says, otherwise, right? So this is just a reminder that we can only do so much, but when God is there, oh boy, he can definitely change things in a second, maybe overnight or in a week or takes months, depending on when the Lord’s timing. Please stay encouraged and stay in good fellowship. In Psalms 31:24 the word tells us, be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord, so please, yes, put that hope in God because he will get you through it. Another thing is give yourself grace. That is one of the best advice that I can actually give someone, that was also given to me many times, just don’t be too hard on yourself. I’m excited to also share how the Lord has helped me with my boymom journey. I am thankful for my family, we have been surrounded with supportive family members, friends and even coworkers that have given me encouragement words. I know some of my friends and my family members can share a lot of stories that they have seen me go through some trials that I didn’t think that I was going to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Again I just want to just share with God all things are possible. God is so good. He has shown me a lot of different things that I thought I was not going to see come to pass. Here’s a reminder of hope and encouragement to boymoms. So I just thank you again for just listening to my podcast and I hope that you can take something out of this. I’m not licensed or certified counselor or psychiatrist, but I can tell you I have 30 years of experience raising boys. I am really surrounded by men. My three sons, 3 bonus grandsons and our first biological grandson coming soon. I am so excited just to help other boy moms, just to encourage them and to remind them that this too shall pass. So welcome to being a part of the B.O.O community:boy mom’s overcoming journey with me. God bless you and I hope you have a good day no matter what❤️ Contact: aglimpseofbliss@gmail.com

Episode 5 Strength in the Waiting

In this episode of Boy Moms Overcoming Obstacles, I would like to reconnect with the Boy Moms community! I also like to share the joys and challenges of motherhood. After taking a brief break, as I reflect on the beautiful, busy season of life, especially with the arrival of my first grandchild. This episode expresses my gratitude for this new chapter and the joy it brings. The episode dives into the theme of Strength in the Waiting, drawing inspiration from Joshua 1:7, which encourages strength and courage in the face of fear and discouragement. The personal struggles in my journey of motherhood, particularly when facing my son’s struggles and rebellious choices. I open up about the self-doubt that crept in during those tough moments, but emphasizes the importance of remaining strong and courageous, trusting in God's timing. Just a reminder that courage doesn't mean the absence of fear, but the strength to move forward despite it. Highlighting the importance of prayer and trusting God, even when the answers don’t come immediately. Though the waiting can be difficult, I truly believe it is a season for growth, both for the child and for the parent. Mom stay encourage to place your trust in God’s wisdom, knowing that obedience and faith lead to peace, even if results take time. Ultimately, I hope you find the episode serves as a reminder that, while parenting can be overwhelming, there is power in waiting patiently, trusting in God’s plan, and having the courage to persevere through difficult seasons. Please leave a comment or share this episode with someone that might need some encouragement. Thank you BOO Community and stay blessed!  Love from your Podcast Host,  -Iranda You can reach out to me at aglimpseofbliss@gmail.com.

Episode 2 Are you living on the edge or just living?

Hey Boymoms, Welcome back to the podcast - Boymoms Overcoming Obstacles This is Iranda, my name is spelled  like Miranda without the M. Today, I want to talk about something that hit me unexpectedly… in the middle of a concert. I didn’t go looking for a message. Honestly, I just needed to be outside. I needed to feel a little normal again — to catch a breath from the daily grind, the chaos, the noise. But somewhere between the music and the lights, the artist asked a question that stopped me in my tracks. He said: “Do you live every day as just another day… or do you live on the edge of your seat?” Whew. That one hit me. And right there, in that moment, I thought to myself: Yes. I want to live on the edge of my seat. Living with anticipation. With purpose. With excitement about what God has next. Because here’s the thing — we get to choose. Every single day, we decide: Are we going to sit back and wait for life to happen to us? Or are we going to move forward — even if it’s just one small step — and trust that God’s got something good waiting for us? He does. He really does. God is waiting for us to move. He’s got plans. He’s got purpose. But if we stay stuck, we could miss what was meant for us. What already belongs to us. So let me ask you: Are you living on the edge of your seat? I hope so. Because there’s something powerful about expecting goodness. About choosing joy. About living with gratitude — even when things aren’t perfect. And when it gets overwhelming — and trust me, I know it can — remember this: Breathe. Look around. And focus on the goodness that’s already around you. There’s always something to be thankful for. Let me leave you with this verse — one that’s been grounding me lately: Colossians 2:7 — “Rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” So today, let’s live rooted. Let’s live grateful. And let’s stay on the edge of our seats… because God’s just getting started.   Contact: aglimpseofbliss@gmail.com
