The Ex Appeal Podcast

Miriam Katz

Miriam Katz interviews every person she has ever been romantic with on any level, from a 5th grade pizza date to an orthodox rabbi to a stripper she once hooked up with. Every. Single. Person.  As a true actor-artist person, Katz has dated many, many types of people, many of them larger-than-life types, including a cult leader and a clown. The show is loving and funny, and aims to seek closure and connection. It's moving, and also a romp. Expect ten episodes a year. (She's gotta track down these honeys...) Miriam Katz is Los Angeles-based public speaking coach, podcaster, and performer. She studied comparative literature at Columbia University, worked at Artforum magazine for many, many years, followed by stints curating comedy shows and panels for MoMA in New York and Silencio in Paris. She trained in improv at The Groundlings and UCB. You may have heard her in video games or seen her in films, tv shows, and Chili’s commercials (plural).  Katz has written about comedy for the Los Angeles Times. She has also coached public speaking at companies including Meta, Apple, Google, and MIT. The Ex Appeal Podcast was profiled in The New York Post and Forbes, was a “hot topic” on The View. That’s right, Whoopi Goldberg knows her name.
