    The Mocha Mermaid: Danni Washington on Ocean Activism, STEAM Education & Hope for the Planet

    What does it take to turn a childhood love for mermaids into a global mission to protect the ocean? In this episode of the Spotlight Podcast, I speak to Danni Washington: marine science communicator, environmental advocate, and the first African-American woman to host a nationally syndicated science television series. Known as the “Mocha Mermaid,” Danni blends science, storytelling, and creativity to inspire the next generation to care for our oceans.
