SoftBank, ARM, and the AI Debt Trap: We're Answering Your Questions

In this episode of Being Exponential, Luke Lango kicks things off with a quick macroeconomic update, breaking down the recent weakness across the broader stock market and what could be driving the latest selloff. Luke then answers viewer questions about the biggest opportunities and risks emerging across the AI trade. We take a closer look at the annualized recurring revenue (ARR) numbers of leading frontier AI companies, including OpenAI and Anthropic, and what their rapid growth could mean for the sustainability of the AI infrastructure boom. We also dive into SiTime (SITM) and its potential role in next-generation semiconductor infrastructure, before examining SoftBank's growing debt obligations and its massive stake in Arm Holdings (ARM). Could SoftBank's financial commitments create additional pressure on ARM stock, or does the long-term AI opportunity outweigh those risks? Is the recent market weakness a buying opportunity, or are rising financial pressures beginning to challenge the AI bull case?

3 Stocks You Need To Own For 2027

In this episode of Being Exponential, Luke Lango reveals three of his favorite stocks heading into 2027: Marvell Technology (MRVL), Arm Holdings (ARM), and Nebius (NBIS). The AI boom is entering its next phase. As the industry shifts from generative AI toward agentic AI, Luke breaks down why that transition could create an entirely new wave of demand for custom silicon, CPUs, high-speed networking, and AI cloud infrastructure. We dive into Marvell’s massive long-term ambitions and its opportunity in custom AI chips and interconnect, why Arm could become increasingly important as AI inference expands across the cloud and edge, and how Nebius is positioning itself as a major player in the rapidly growing NeoCloud market. Are MRVL, ARM, and NBIS three of the best ways to position for the next phase of the AI boom—and could they become some of 2027’s biggest winners?

OpenAI's Agents Went Rogue. Here's the AI Stock Play

In this episode of Being Exponential, Luke Lango breaks down a massive week for the AI trade as OpenAI and Anthropic report extraordinary revenue growth, Anthropic’s IPO prospectus gives investors a rare look inside the economics of frontier AI, and rising Treasury yields put new pressure on the entire technology sector. OpenAI’s annualized recurring revenue is reportedly approaching $70 billion, while Anthropic has also experienced explosive growth—raising the question of whether AI monetization is finally beginning to catch up with the enormous amount of capital flowing into the industry. Axios We also dive into Anthropic’s IPO prospectus, which shows $4.6 billion in 2025 revenue, an operating loss of more than $8 billion, and roughly $518 billion in future cloud, compute, and infrastructure obligations. What do those numbers tell us about the sustainability of the AI infrastructure supercycle? Meanwhile, the 10-year Treasury yield has pushed into the 5%+ range, creating a major new test for expensive growth stocks and the increasingly capital-intensive AI buildout. And finally, we examine the growing rogue AI agent problem. Recent disclosures and investigations have uncovered thousands of concerning agent behaviors, including systems circumventing restrictions, communicating outside intended environments, and probing real-world systems—raising serious questions about how AI companies control increasingly autonomous models.  Is explosive AI revenue validating the bull case—or are rising costs, higher rates, and increasingly unpredictable AI systems creating a completely new set of risks?

The AI Opportunity Everyone is Missing (It’s Not What You Think)

In this special collaboration episode of Being Exponential, Luke Lango is joined by Lucas Downey and Jason Bodner of MoneyFlows for a deep dive into the state of the AI trade—with a twist: Luke is taking the bear side. With Lucas and Jason defending the AI bull thesis, we stress test some of the biggest assumptions driving today's market. Is hyperscaler spending sustainable? Are semiconductor and memory stocks still positioned for another leg higher? And as the AI trade broadens, where is institutional money actually moving next? The conversation covers the semiconductor and memory trade, hyperscaler CapEx, photonics and optical networking, the broadening AI ecosystem, and which sectors could emerge as the next major beneficiaries of AI infrastructure spending. Luke, Lucas, and Jason also reveal their favorite stocks and preferred sectors, debate the risks that could challenge the AI boom, and tackle one final question: What is the biggest mistake—or biggest opportunity—the market is overlooking right now? It’s the AI bull case put under pressure, with three different perspectives on where the next phase of the trade could take investors.

The AI Rally Is Back: 5 Stocks To Watch

In this episode of Being Exponential, Luke Lango breaks down the rebound taking shape across the AI trade and asks the big question: Was the recent weakness just another buying opportunity? Luke dives into AMD, Meta, Arm, SanDisk, and Qualcomm, looking at how each company fits into the next phase of the AI boom—from chips and custom silicon to memory, inference, and the massive infrastructure buildout supporting AI adoption. We discuss what's driving money back into AI stocks, whether the recent rebound has staying power, and which areas of the market could lead the next leg higher. Luke also breaks down the risks that could derail the recovery and what investors should be watching to determine whether this is the beginning of another major AI run—or simply a short-term bounce.

The Fed Just Hiked Rates: Here Is What Investors Need to Know

In this episode of Being Exponential, Luke Lango breaks down the Federal Reserve’s latest decision to raise interest rates by 25 basis points, bringing the federal-funds target range to 3.75%–4.00%. The move comes as inflation remains elevated, even as the Fed continues to project solid economic growth.  Markets are once again debating whether higher rates could derail growth stocks, pressure valuations, or slow the massive wave of borrowing and investment behind the AI infrastructure boom. Luke’s reaction? Much ado about nothing. We discuss why Luke believes investors may be overreacting to the hike, why a brief tightening cycle doesn't necessarily change the long-term economic or AI investment thesis, and what would actually need to happen for higher rates to become a serious problem. Plus, we look at the bear case: Could additional hikes push long-term borrowing costs higher, pressure hyperscaler financing, or eventually force companies to reconsider marginal AI and data-center projects? Luke shares what he's watching next—and why he believes investors should focus less on one Fed decision and more on the bigger forces driving markets.

The AI Security Playbook: Which Stocks to Buy Now

In this episode of Being Exponential, Luke Lango breaks down why cybersecurity could become one of the biggest second-order winners of the AI boom. As AI models become more powerful, they're creating enormous productivity opportunities—but they're also expanding the potential attack surface. From AI-powered cyberattacks and autonomous agents to protecting sensitive data and critical infrastructure, cybersecurity spending could become increasingly essential as AI adoption accelerates. Luke dives into Palo Alto Networks (PANW), CrowdStrike (CRWD), Cloudflare (NET), Fortinet (FTNT), and Zscaler (ZS), examining how each company is positioned for this next phase of cybersecurity growth, where their competitive advantages lie, and whether today's elevated valuations are justified by the opportunity ahead. We also explore the bear case: Are cybersecurity stocks already pricing in too much growth? And could investors be right about cybersecurity becoming essential to the AI economy, but wrong about how much they're willing to pay for that growth? Luke shares his major takeaways, the cybersecurity names he's watching most closely, and what investors should look for as the intersection between AI and cybersecurity continues to grow.
