    Falling in LOVE after childhood trauma, sexual abuse & healing through the ventral vagal state

    This episode discusses the experience of bonding as an adult or "falling in love" and how it can trigger fight-flight-freeze mode (sympathetic nervous system) as an adult which is often rooted from childhood experiences with trauma, neglect, sexual abuse, violence and even lack of attention and admiration.  The onset of intimacy (into-me-see) (which is becoming vulnerable and showing someone the real you) after experiencing childhood abuse and trauma can trigger the sympathetic nervous system when emotional, or physical intimacy deepen in a relationship, we go into how to move and stay in the ventral vagal state (parasympathetic nervous system's state of rest & digest) which is the ideal state for genuine connection.
