    I heard someone say, "one of the ways God heals you if you've been hurt by community is that He heals you in community." I know many of us currently don't believe in community anymore because of how much we've been hurt by people whom we considered our community but I can tell you one thing : you cannot do life alone, and especially the new life God has given us in Christ. We were not meant to live life in isolation. God said, "it is not good for man to be alone." God, Himself, is never alone. He has existed in perfect community with the Son and the Holy Spirit and all of them give us the blueprint for how and what community is supposed to look like. My prayer and hope for you regarding this episode is that as you listen, you are encouraged to heal if you've been hurt by community and are also encouraged to ask God to reveal to you the kind of community that you should be in.     At the start of a new year, there’s often pressure to feel excited, refreshed, and ready… but what if you’re stepping into 2026 still carrying the weariness of 2025? In this episode, we reflect honestly on the past year — the faith it took to keep going, the quiet battles, the prayers that felt unanswered — and what it means to begin again while still feeling tired. Rooted in Psalm 73 and Mark 9, this conversation explores the tension between faith and fatigue: believing God while wrestling with doubt, trusting Him while feeling worn down. Through scriptures like Psalm 94:18–19, 2 Corinthians 4:16–18, and Galatians 6:9, we are reminded that God sees every moment of endurance and every act of quiet faithfulness. As we enter 2026, this is not a call to strive harder — but an invitation to: rest in God, be honest about your weariness, and hold on to hope again. Because even now, your faithfulness still matters. Your labor is not in vain.     In Part 2 of The State of the Church, we continue our deep dive into Matthew 23 and the reality of spiritual abuse in today’s Church. This episode unpacks the painful aftermath of hurt within the Body of Christ — the distrust of pastors and prophets, the struggle to separate God’s true character from human failings, and the temptation to walk away from faith altogether. But it doesn’t end there. We also explore why the Church is still necessary: as a family, a place of healing, and a source of God-given purpose. Together, we’ll reflect on Jesus’s call to those wounded by the Church, His invitation to healing, and His vision for humility, service, and the building of a true, Christ-centered community. This episode is both a warning and a comfort: a warning not to let the wickedness of men lead us astray, and a comfort that Jesus still sees, still calls, and is still restoring His Church. Many believers have walked away from the Church — not because they stopped believing in God, but because they were deeply wounded by those who claimed to represent Him. In this conversation, we expose the reality of spiritual abuse, explore how it impacts faith and community, and remind ourselves of this truth: the failures of men do not change the perfection of God’s Word or the love of Christ.     SEASON 2, EP 6: THE FAITH TO SURRENDER OUR DESIRES.

    In this episode, I get real raw and vulnerable about my own struggle with desires that don’t always align with God’s will — and the faith it takes to lay them down. Inspired by James 1:14–17, we’ll explore how our unsurrendered desires often open the door to temptation and sin, not because God or the devil forces our hand, but because we let our own longings lead us astray. Like Eve, who gazed at what looked good instead of gazing at the One who is good, we too can be deceived when we fix our eyes on things that corrupt our hearts. I share why it’s so important to trade our corrupt desires for God’s good and perfect ones, trusting Him to purify what we want so our lives can bear fruit that leads to life, not death. May this episode encourage you to ask: Where or what am I gazing at? What desires need to be surrendered? And remind you — surrender is never loss with God. It’s an invitation to receive what is truly pure, good, and right in His eyes.
