Festus shares her unforgettable first encounter with menstruation: a moment marked by fear, confusion, and silence. With honesty and humor, she reflects on the shame she felt, the lack of menstrual education both at home and at school, and how that gap inspired her to become a vocal champion for girls across rural Nigeria. We explore how her organization, FAB Treasure Foundation, has distributed over 10,000 sanitary pads to girls in more than 35 schools, while also challenging cultural taboos by promoting open, proud, and shame-free conversations about menstruation.
