What is YinMersion And Who Is It For

What exactly is YinMersion and who is this experience really for? In this episode, I’m sharing more about the intention behind YinMersion, my free 3-day online experience for yoga teachers and practitioners exploring yin yoga through a more embodied, nervous system aware, and trauma sensitive approach. We talk about: ❊ why many people intellectually understand healing, nervous system work, or yin yoga, yet still feel disconnected internally ❊ what happens when yoga becomes another space for performance, optimisation, or “doing healing correctly” ❊ why so many teachers quietly struggle with holding emotional space in classes ❊ how practitioners can still feel stuck in cycles of overwhelm, shutdown, anxiety, or overthinking despite “doing all the right things” ❊ the difference between intensity and true depth in a yin yoga practice ❊ why nervous system capacity shapes our experience of stillness far more than flexibility does I also share who this work tends to resonate deeply with, and honestly, who it may not be for. YinMersion includes educational workshops, guided yin yoga practices, reflection, live teaching, and space for integration across 3 days together online. Whether you’re a teacher wanting to hold space more confidently or a practitioner wanting to understand yourself more deeply through yin yoga, this experience is designed to help you explore what is happening underneath the surface of the practice. YinMersion takes place 19–21 June.Replays will also be available if you cannot join live. On Popular Demand: YinMersion is Back in June!

YinMersion is coming back this June ✨ This is a free 3-day online experience for yoga teachers and practitioners who want to explore yin yoga through a more embodied, nervous system aware, and trauma sensitive approach. Over the years, I’ve noticed that many people can understand concepts intellectually, yet still feel disconnected from their own bodies in practice. We can learn about the nervous system, emotional regulation, meridians, and mindfulness, but actually recognising those patterns in ourselves is a very different experience. And that’s exactly the space YinMersion was created for. Across these 3 days, we explore:❊ yin yoga beyond flexibility and performance❊ how the nervous system responds to stillness❊ emotional awareness in practice❊ the difference between pushing through and truly listening❊ how to approach yin yoga in a more therapeutic, sustainable way This experience is open to both yoga teachers and practitioners. You do not need previous experience, flexibility, or any prior nervous system knowledge to join. Each day includes guided yin practices, teachings, reflection, and space to integrate what you notice in your own body and experience. And if live participation isn’t possible, recordings will be available, so you can move through the experience in your own time and revisit the sessions as needed. Especially in a world that constantly encourages us to push harder, stay productive, and override ourselves, I believe spaces like this matter deeply. Sometimes the most meaningful shifts happen very quietly:when we slow down enough to finally hear ourselves clearly. YinMersion takes place 19–21 June and I would truly love to welcome you into this space. 3. Why Going Deeper in Your Yin Practice Has Nothing to Do with Flexibility

    May 14

Why Going Deeper in Your Yin Practice Has Nothing to Do with Flexibility

One of the most common things I hear from students, both in classes and in trainings, is this idea of wanting to “go deeper” in their practice. And very often, what they mean by that is getting further into a pose. More stretch, more sensation, more intensity. It’s such a common way of thinking, especially in a yoga culture that has, for a long time, associated progress with flexibility. But over the years, both in my own practice and in teaching, I’ve come to see that depth in yin yoga has very little to do with how far your body goes into a shape.  In fact, some of the deepest experiences I’ve witnessed, both personally and in my students, happened in very subtle, almost unnoticeable ranges of movement. Because what we often call “going deeper” is not really about intensity. It’s about awareness. And awareness requires a very different kind of attention than pushing further into sensation. This is the topic I explore in this video. If this resonates and you feel called to this work, I invite you take the first gentle steps: Try the free Emotional & Nervous System Yin Reset, a short accessible yin practice to experience my signature approach:https://greenomlet.kit.com/3a39c33ccc Ready to go deeper? 4. Can You Hold Space – for Yourself & Others - The Skill Most Courses Don’t Teach

    May 8

Can You Hold Space – for Yourself & Others - The Skill Most Courses Don’t Teach

In this episode, we explore something I feel is missing in many yin yoga teacher trainings: learning to truly hold space. Most courses teach poses, sequencing, anatomy, and meridian theory. And while those things matter, they don’t necessarily prepare teachers for what happens when a real human experience unfolds in the room. Because yin yoga has a way of bringing people into contact with themselves on much deeper layers. Emotions can surface. Stillness can feel unfamiliar. Silence can feel usafe. And in those moments, teaching becomes much less about guiding shapes and much more about presence, attunement, and nervous system awareness. In this episode, I explore: • Why space holding is a skill most teacher trainings don’t fully teach• What happens in the nervous system during yin yoga• Why trauma awareness matters in yin yoga spaces• How teachers can unintentionally override or overwhelm students• The difference between guiding poses and holding grounded, supportive space• Why understanding your own nervous system changes the way you teach and practice I also share more about my Meridian–Emotion–Nervous System Yoga Method® and why this work became such an important part of my teaching over the years. If this conversation resonates, you can begin exploring this approach through my free Yin Reset practice, or join me inside YinMersion where we go deeper into these layers together in a more structured and experiential way. 5. Rethinking Yin Yoga – Why Your Practice Might Feel Dysregulating

    May 2

Rethinking Yin Yoga – Why Your Practice Might Feel Dysregulating

Yin yoga is often seen as the place to slow down, switch off, and finally relax. But what happens when stillness doesn’t feel calming at all? In this episode, I explore something that is rarely spoken about in the yin yoga space: why slow does not automatically mean safe, and why stillness can sometimes feel uncomfortable, restless, or even overwhelming instead of regulating. We look at how the nervous system actually responds to stillness, why long holds can become dysregulating without choice and awareness, and how the common expectation to “just relax” can create more disconnection rather than support. This is an invitation to rethink what regulation really means. Not as constant calm, but as the ability to move between different nervous system states with more flexibility and resilience. If you’ve ever felt unsettled in a yin class, questioned your experience, or wondered if you were doing something wrong, this conversation will help you understand what might actually be happening beneath the surface. If you’d like to explore this in your own body, you can start with my free Yin Reset practice, a gentle entry point into a more trauma-informed, nervous system aware approach to yin yoga. And if you’re ready to go deeper, YinMersion is returning this June, a free 3-day experience where we explore how to work with the nervous system in both practice and teaching. 6. Why Most Online Yoga Courses Don’t Work (And How to Find One That Does)

Why Most Online Yoga Courses Don’t Work (And How to Find One That Does)

In this episode, we explore a belief I hear often in the yoga world: “You can’t really learn yoga online.” And honestly, I understand where that idea comes from. Many people invest in online trainings, watch a few modules, and then the course slowly disappears into the background of their lives. The information is there, but something important is missing: the connection, the guidance, the accountability that turns knowledge into embodied understanding. Because watching videos alone does not make someone a yoga teacher. Practicing does. Teaching does. Being witnessed, receiving feedback, and having a mentor guide you through the learning process does. At the same time, I’ve personally had incredibly positive experiences with online learning, from my prenatal yoga teacher training, to marketing education for yoga teachers, and currently an 875-hour yoga therapy program that is truly mind-blowing. These experiences showed me that online education can work when it is designed with the human element in mind. In this video I share: • why many online yoga courses don’t work• busting the myth that online learning is ineffective• what actually creates transformation in an online training• and how I designed my online self-paced Trauma-Informed Yin Yoga Teacher Training differently I also share about my upcoming live trainings in Thailand this April and June, which will be the final opportunities to join me in person before I take a maternity break. If traveling isn’t possible, the online self-paced TTC remains available and includes mentoring, community, and guidance along the way. A Personal Life Update – Final Live Courses Before I Take A Maternity Break

For the past couple of months, things have been a little quieter here. In this video, I’m sharing a personal life update and explaining why. I’m 3 months pregnant and the first trimester has been a very humbling experience. The past weeks have brought a lot of nausea, fatigue, and a strong reminder that sometimes the body asks us to slow down in ways we didn’t plan for. Because of this new phase of life, I’ll be taking a maternity pause from my live trainings later this year. This means the April and June courses in Thailand will be the final opportunities to join me live before I step away for a while. Live trainings are expected to return next February (2027), depending on how recovery and this transition into motherhood unfold. In this video I also share how this will shape my work in the coming months, and why the online self-paced Trauma-Informed Yin Yoga & Chinese Meridians Teacher Training will remain available, including live mentoring sessions. If you’ve been considering joining one of my live trainings, this spring will be the moment. And if travel isn’t possible, the online training offers a flexible way to explore this work while learning at your own pace.
