Y a veces...simplemente todavía no tienes suficiente información. Voy a prestar atención.” 16. When Your Body Knows Before Your Mind Does: Intuition, Trauma, Discernment & Learning to Trust Yourself Again

Send us Fan Mail What does it mean when something—or someone—just feels off? Sometimes your intuition is picking up on something real. Other times, your body may be reacting to something that feels familiar because of what you've experienced before. And sometimes...you simply don't have enough information yet. Inspired by The Body Keeps the Score, this episode explores the complicated space between intuition, anxiety, trauma, hypervigilance, faith, and discernment—and how to trust yourself without assuming every uncomfortable feeling is automatically a warning. We also talk about how this shows up in relationships, family, first-gen and immigrant experiences, oversharing, money, and boundaries. In this episode, we talk about: How past experiences can influence what feels safe—or unsafe—todayIntuition vs. anxiety and hypervigilanceAsking God for clarity instead of confirmationWhy familiar doesn't always mean healthyFamily, culture, guilt, and changing someone's access to youOversharing and learning that everyone doesn't need to know everythingFinancial boundaries and protecting what you're buildingRespecting other people's boundaries, tooOne reminder to take with you: A feeling can be information without immediately becoming a verdict. Sometimes you don't need to react, explain, or make a decision right away. Sometimes you can simply say: “Something feels different. I'm going to pay attention.” 💭 Reflection Questions What actually happened—and what story am I adding to it? Does this person feel safe, or do they simply feel familiar? Where am I giving people more access to me than I actually want them to have? Am I asking God to show me the truth—or to prove that I'm right? 15.

15. Why Is It So Embarrassing to Say You Can't Afford Something?

Send us Fan Mail Why does saying “I can't afford that” sometimes feel like we're admitting something about ourselves? In this episode of Unfiltered & Unapologetic, I’m talking about the shame and pressure that can come with saying something is too expensive, outside of your budget, or simply not where you want your money to go. Because having the money to pay for something and actually being able to afford it are not always the same thing. And sometimes, you can afford it—you just don't think it's worth it. We talk about how money became connected to success, how social media has changed what we think a “normal” lifestyle looks like, and why first-gen success can come with pressure to not only do well financially, but look like we're doing well too. I also talk about the language we use around money and why there's a difference between saying “I'm broke” and saying “That's not where I want my money to go.” In this episode, we talk about: • Why saying “I can't afford that” can feel embarrassing • The difference between being able to pay for something and actually affording it • Spending based on your values instead of other people's opinions • How money became connected to success and self-worth • How social media has changed what we think is financially “normal” • The pressure to look successful • The first-gen pressure to show that you're “doing better” • Spending money because you don't want to miss out • The language we use when talking about money • Building wealth that might not be visible to other people • Why saying no can be part of financial freedom Questions to reflect on: • What do you spend money on because you genuinely value it? • What have you spent money on because you didn't want people to think you couldn't afford it? • Would you make the same financial decisions if nobody else could see them? • What would your finances look like if you stopped trying to look financially successful and focused on actually feeling financially secure? You don't need to have an answer right now. Just sit with it. Maybe wealth isn't being able to say yes to everything. Maybe part of wealth is knowing what deserves your yes—and being comfortable enough to say no to everything else. Your money should support the life you're building, not the life you're trying to prove you have. Resource Mentioned in This Episode • Florence Scovel Shinn — Your Word Is Your Wand — A book about the power of our words, affirmations, faith, and how the language we repeatedly use can shape our beliefs and the way we approach our lives. ✨ Follow the podcast and share this episode with someone who might need this conversation. 14. What If Questioning Religion Doesn't Mean Questioning God?

Send us Fan Mail Can you question religion without questioning God? In this episode of Unfiltered & Unapologetic, I’m talking about how my relationship with faith has changed as I’ve gotten older—and why questioning some of the religious beliefs I grew up with has actually made me more intentional about my relationship with God. I believe in God. I pray. I read the Bible. I meditate. I also believe in manifestation. And for me, those things don’t have to compete with each other. We talk about the difference between inherited beliefs and personal faith, having questions about the Bible and religious teachings, manifestation and God, discernment, surrender, and learning to trust God when I don’t have all the answers. I also share how my relationship with God has changed the way I deal with anxiety, stress, sadness, and uncertainty. Instead of feeling like I have to carry and control everything myself, I’m learning to give what I can’t control to God and trust Him with the rest. In this episode, we talk about: • Questioning religion without losing your faith • Separating inherited beliefs from what you actually believe • Building a personal relationship with God • Having questions about the Bible and religious teachings • God, manifestation, meditation, and spirituality • The difference between manifestation and trying to control the outcome • Discernment and trusting God's direction • Surrendering anxiety, stress, sadness, and uncertainty to God • How faith can help you let go of the need to control everything • Allowing your relationship with God to grow and evolve • Respecting that someone else’s faith may look completely different from yours Questions to reflect on: • What parts of your faith did you consciously choose, and what parts did you simply inherit? • Are there things you've been afraid to question because you thought questioning them meant questioning God? • If nobody else had an opinion about what your relationship with God was supposed to look like, what would it actually look like? You don’t need to have an answer right now. Just sit with it. You don’t have to have every answer to have faith. Maybe questioning what you were taught doesn’t mean you’re moving away from God. Maybe you’re becoming more intentional about your relationship with Him. Resources Mentioned in This Episode If you want to explore some of the books and teachers I mentioned in this episode: • Neville Goddard — Writer and teacher known for his work on imagination, consciousness, assumptions, and manifestation. • Florence Scovel Shinn — The Complete Works / 4 Books in 1 — A collection of her teachings on faith, affirmations, intuition, the power of words, manifestation, and trusting God. • The Secret by Rhonda Byrne — A book and documentary centered around the Law of Attraction and the idea that our thoughts and beliefs can influence what we attract into our lives. These are resources that have influenced some of the ideas I’ve explored around faith, manifestation, mindset, and spirituality. Mentioning them doesn’t mean I agree with every teaching or interpretation—they’re simply part of what has shaped my own questions and perspective. 14.

13. What If Everything Is Spiritual?

Send us Fan Mail What if your spiritual life isn't separate from your everyday life? In this episode of Unfiltered & Unapologetic, Caitlin explores what she means when she says everything is spiritual—not because everything that happens is a sign from God or every difficult experience was sent to teach us a lesson, but because our relationship with God can exist within every part of our lives. From the way we care for our bodies and protect our peace to the way we navigate our careers, relationships, money, rest, health, and even the moments when life doesn't make sense, spirituality can show up in places we don't always think of as "spiritual." Caitlin also reflects on self-care as stewardship, listening to your body, finding God in nature, allowing yourself to rest, and learning to move through difficult seasons without needing to find a divine explanation for everything. Because maybe spirituality isn't something we practice for twenty minutes and then put away. Maybe our real lives are the spiritual practice. In this episode: • Why Caitlin believes God is present in the ordinary parts of life • Caring for your body as a form of stewardship • What work, relationships, and money can reveal about us • Why rest can require faith and trust • Finding God and gratitude through nature • Why not everything has to be a sign or a lesson • Having faith without needing an explanation for everything • Becoming more intentional about how we live the life we've been given 🎧 Listen, reflect, and share this episode with someone who might need this conversation.
