    Why your horoscope never worked and how it betrayed real astrology

    In this episode, I shared a short history of astrology, an introduction to chart reading, and a critique on capitalism for its production of simplified and popularized horoscopes. I explained the origin of Western astrology from ancient Babylonian, Egyptian, and Greek cultures, and how the fusing of myths, cultures, and meanings gave rise to horoscopes. I discussed the relationship between planets and zodiac signs, and what houses and aspects mean in chart reading. I also critiqued the mass produced horoscopes that simplified astrology and how it supported the capitalist system that commodified and limited the transformative powers of spirituality.
