Know You Matter | Conversations with The Blondes Restoration

The Blondes

Hosted by mother-daughter duo Jacqueline & Lauren, this is your reminder that you matter, while we navigate a world where we do too. Because we're all human, and that's enough. You can expect conversations about healing from generational trauma (as two people living it), recovering from burnout and people pleasing, navigating imposter syndrome, privilege and perspective shifts. Sometimes we laugh until we cry, and by laugh we mean cackle. Sometimes we cry until we laugh. Sometimes we go deep, sometimes we’re ridiculous. But every episode is rooted in one truth: you matter.

Emotional Exhaustion, Burnout & The Mental Load

You know that weird kind of tired where sleeping doesn’t even touch it? Yeah. That. This week’s episode is about capacity, the real kind. Not colour-coded planners. Not “have you tried batching your tasks?” nonsense. We mean actual human capacity. Emotional. Physical. Mental. The invisible battery pack nobody talks about until it’s flashing red and you’re crying because someone asked what’s for tea. We talk about what happens when you become the person who holds everything together by default. The one who remembers birthdays, notices moods, keeps the peace, absorbs tension, replies to the school email, books the appointment, buys the toothpaste, and somehow still says “I’m fine” on autopilot. Even when you’re absolutely knackered. There’s a really honest conversation in this one about the stuff we don’t always admit out loud:✨ why lying on the sofa doom scrolling isn’t actually rest (even though your body technically stopped moving)✨ how stress, hormones, burnout and emotional load quietly shrink your capacity over time✨ why receiving help can feel oddly exposing, sometimes even unsafe✨ and the tiny, unglamorous things that slowly start bringing you back to yourself again If your body has been trying to send you a notification - “I cannot keep living at this pace forever,” we think this conversation is worth listening to  We’re Lauren and Jacqueline — a mother-daughter duo having real conversations about emotional health, nervous systems, burnout, self-compassion, identity, and what it actually looks like to know you matter outside of Instagram quote graphics and wellness buzzwords. New episodes every week. And if you know someone who’s always “doing great!” while visibly carrying the weight of several small countries on their back… send this to them. They probably need it more than they realise.

4 Years in Business: How It Started vs What We Actually Built)

This episode is a bit of a “how did we get here?” moment… Because somehow — somehow — we are 4 years into this business. And it all started in a cabin. With a hot tub. While Lauren was pregnant and throwing up every five minutes. Naturally. In this one we’re chatting about where it all began, what we thought we were building… and what it’s actually become. We get into: ✨ The original idea (a retreat with coaching, art, journaling… and honestly still a vibe) 🎨 What’s shifting for us right now halfway through the Unlocking course 🧠 The “inner circus” — aka the voices in your head, your saboteurs, and who’s actually running the show 💪 Why most people stop at insight (the 20%) and never build the mental muscle (the 80%) 👗 Jacqueline casually deciding she might just… make her own clothes now?? 🎭 Lauren painting again daily after years of feeling blocked 🌍 And a slightly unhinged story about travelling to Milan with no money, no phone, and just ✨vibes✨ It’s reflective, a bit chaotic, a bit emotional, and very “we didn’t plan this but here we are.” And also… we might finally be ready to bring that original retreat idea to life 👀 So if you’ve ever had an idea that wouldn’t leave you alone, or you’re in the messy middle of building something that doesn’t look how you expected… come and sit with us for this one. Big love, The Blondes 💛
