Lead Me Not Into Temptation: Recognizing the Boundaries God Has Set for Us

Send us Fan Mail Episode Title: Lead Me Not into Temptation: Recognizing the Boundaries God Has Set for Us Have you ever stopped to consider that the chaos in your life may be connected to a boundary you've crossed? In this episode of Abundantly Loved Podcast, Gwendolyn Miller shares from her book, 40 Years a Virgin: Why the Wait?! – Promoting Purity in a World of Promiscuity, exploring the connection between temptation, boundaries, sin, and our intimacy with Jesus. When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, “Lead us not into temptation,” He was teaching us something important about our relationship with God and our need for His guidance. God has established boundaries for us, not to withhold good things from us, but to guide us toward a life that honors Him. Yet, sometimes we fail to recognize those boundaries—or we recognize them but choose to cross them anyway. In this chapter, Gwendolyn challenges us to look honestly at our choices and consider how sin affects our relationship with Jesus. When we choose to follow our flesh rather than God's Word, we aren't simply breaking a rule; we're disregarding the One who loves us. Sin can lead us down a path of destruction, leaving us to experience consequences we never intended. But this conversation isn't about pointing fingers or condemning anyone. It's about examining our hearts, recognizing where we may have crossed God's boundaries, and understanding why His instructions matter. If your life feels chaotic, could it be time to pause and examine the choices you're making and the direction you're following? God's boundaries aren't meant to keep us from His love—they help guide us in the way of His love. Join Gwendolyn for this honest and challenging reflection on temptation, obedience, and the importance of protecting our intimacy with Jesus. As you listen, ask yourself: Am I respecting the boundaries God has established for my life, or am I allowing temptation to lead me somewhere God never intended me to go? It's time to recognize the boundaries, understand the battle, and choose a life that draws us closer to Jesus. Battle is Real: Part 2

Send us Fan Mail Grace is a gift we don't deserve, but have we become so accustomed to receiving it that we've begun to take it—and the love of Jesus—for granted? In this heartfelt and challenging episode of Abundantly Loved Podcast, Gwendolyn Miller invites us to examine our relationship with Jesus and the way we respond to His unfailing love. We often expect Jesus to remain close to us regardless of how we live, yet when someone continually hurts us, we may find ourselves pulling away. Have we considered how our choices affect the intimacy God desires to have with us? Drawing from Scripture, including Romans 1 and other scriptures, Gwendolyn explores what happens when we repeatedly reject God's truth and choose our own way. She speaks honestly about the battle against our flesh, the temptation to take grace for granted, and the call to live in obedience—not to earn God's love, but as a response to the love He has already shown us. This isn't about condemnation or pretending that the struggle to obey Jesus is easy. It's an invitation to look within, allow God's Word to examine our hearts, and recognize where we may be resisting His leading. Grace is not an excuse to continue living in ways that pull us away from God; it is a gift that reveals the depth of His love and calls us into a deeper relationship with Him. What if the grace you've been receiving is also an invitation to draw closer to the One who gives it? Join Gwendolyn for this honest conversation about grace, obedience, the battle against the flesh, and the importance of nurturing genuine intimacy with Jesus. Let's not take His love for granted. Let's learn to love Him more deeply and live in a way that reflects that love. Because the goal isn't simply to receive His grace—it's to grow in love with the One who gave it. Religion or Relationship? When Religion Isn't Enough: Interview with Ms. Angelica Hodges

Send us Fan Mail In this episode of Abundantly Loved Podcast, Angelica shares her journey from religion to a life-changing relationship with Jesus.  Raised in a Catholic tradition, she opens up about the struggles in her marriage that brought her to a turning point.  One night, she chose to get serious about following God, inviting her husband to do the same. As God led them to a Bible-based church, she began to discover what it really means to be a disciple, learning that religion alone doesn't transform us, but a relationship with Him does.  Angelica  shared how her marriage was struggling and she realized rituals without intimacy left her empty. Then she made the choice to pursue Jesus deeply and invite her husband to do the same. As God led them to a Bible-based church, she began to understand discipleship and she found that true transformation comes not from religion, but from a living relationship with Christ. Together, they talked about submission beginning with God. And for single believers, she's encouraged. Wholeness comes from knowing you are loved by God and living from that love. This conversation is a hopeful reminder that growth with Jesus brings freedom, purpose, and genuine love. Virginity and Waiting on God

Send us Fan Mail In this episode, Gwendolyn Miller shares from her book, 40 Years a Virgin: Why the Wait?! – Promoting Purity in a World of Promiscuity, and reveals the deeper story behind why she wrote it. Gwendolyn explores how our desire for intimacy points to the greater intimacy we were created to have with God. Looking back at the Garden of Eden, she reflects on what it means to be fully seen by God—“naked and without shame”—and how sin disrupted that intimacy. She also shares why choosing to remain a virgin and wait on God became, for her, an expression of love. Jesus said, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” For Gwendolyn, obedience was not simply about following a rule—it was about responding to the love God had already shown her. 40 Years a Virgin is more than a book about singleness or sexual purity. It is a testimony of growing deeper in love with God because of His love for us. Whether you are single, married, or simply longing to know God more intimately, this episode invites you to consider: What does loving God look like in the way I live, choose, and obey?
