    014: Brotherhood is Back with Quentin Williams

    Quentin Williams came through the studio and we finally met in person after months of mutual friends, crossover worlds, and internet connection stuff. Q works with former athletes and men around identity, purpose, brotherhood, and mental health, so we got into everything from sports culture and masculinity to men’s groups, emotional healing, psychedelics, purpose, and what it actually means to become a man. We also talked about losing your identity after athletics, navigating relationships with your dad, building community, finding alignment, and why brotherhood is so important right now. A really honest, thoughtful, and still pretty chill conversation.

    I was so pumped to have Christina and Kele Dobrinski — the duo behind Colossus Manufacturing - pop into the studio. We get into how they found their way into design, building a business together, and what it’s actually like working as a married creative team. We also talk about their show on HGTV, the behind-the-scenes reality of that whole experience, and the Freewyld project we worked on together up in Idyllwild, CA. Plus some convo around creativity, taking risks, and the new AI design tool they’re building. Just a super chill, inspiring one. I hope you get something out of it!

    012. What Happens with the Dream Ends? with Nick McCoy

    Nick McCoy came through the studio and we got into his story… growing up in North County San Diego, chasing baseball, barely getting recruited, walking on at USD, and somehow working his way all the way to the freaking New York Yankees. But honestly the most interesting part is what happened after. We talked about the mental side of sports, tying your identity to performance, and what it feels like when that all goes away. Nick opens up about leaving baseball, feeling lost, and jumping straight into the “real world” with zero plan. From there we get into mentors, business, athletes going broke, and what actually matters now—family, health, and just building a life that feels good. Super honest convo with a dude that actually liived the dream of so many people, making it to the Yankees! Enjoy!

    011. You Are Your Own Doctor with Randy Vawdrey

    I was working on a project with my friend Randy Vawdrey and somehow coaxed him into being on the pod! He’s a nurse practitioner, but not in the typical “here’s your prescription, see you later” kind of way. Way more like… common sense health guy who actually explains things in a way that makes you feel slightly called out (in a good way). We got into a bunch of stuff, but it kept coming back to the same thing… most of us already know what to do, we’re just not doing it. We talked about: why health really isn’t that complicated (we just make it that way) mental health and how quick we are to jump to meds how Alzheimer’s might start way earlier than you think  the dental stuff… which honestly kinda stressed me out why you should probably question your doctor a little more and the classic: just do the simple things consistently and chill Overall just one of those conversations that doesn’t feel intense while you’re in it… but then later you’re like “yeah, i should probably tighten a few things up in my life.” Nothing extreme, nothing preachy. Just good, real stuff. Enjoy!
