    Ep 11...Politics: From Left to Right, 3 Saints Talk Politics

    Meet Jen & Troy. Jen was raised in the 70s & 80s in a Democrat family who had a proud and dynamic legacy in advocacy and politics. She defended her parents' vote for Jimmy Carter at a church sleep over & her vote for Bill Clinton to fellow BYU students, even worked on Capitol Hill.…but by the late 1990s Jen realized the party she loved wasn’t what it seemed. Fast forward to 2025, Jen’s virtues and viewpoints remain the same but feels the Democrat Party has left her. Troy grew up in the 2000s when politics became vitriol, vicious and divisive almost overnight. Led by his empathy and influenced by friends, family and social media to dislike Trump and vote Democrat, Troy slowly and hesitantly realized his values more aligned with Republicans.     Ep 10...Faith: Letter of the Law vs Spirit of the Law

    Ep 9...Faith: 3 Chicks Sustain The Family Proclamation

    “The Family: A Proclamation to the World".........…outdated & oppressive? Or timely & timeless instructions from an all-knowing Heavenly Father?   In this episode we talk about: 1) Why we choose to sustain The Family Proclamation 2) Our initial reaction 30 years ago compared to now 3) Following its precepts in childhood and parenthood proved its truth 4) Growing up without a secure family drives the desire to have that as adults 5) Being a stay-at-home mom is a sacrifice but with faith, Christ fills in the gaps, and our children deserve mothers who are all-in 6) For the most part, the single most determining factor in a child’s life in how they will turn out as adults, is their family and home life 7) How we can sustain, practice and teach the doctrines of The Family Proclamation within our own homes as wives, mothers 8) Sustaining our husbands as presiders of the home can be very trying, especially in our modern culture…and that is ok!     What do we do when we are not getting answers to our prayers? Specifically revelations or answers regarding doctrinal or organization issues resulting in a possible FAITH CRISIS? In my personal experience, these three things have helped. In this episode we talk about: 1) Repent daily....every day, the big, the small and everything in between...just repent 2) Keeping the commandments with more diligence & precision will allow the Holy Ghost to be our constant companion 3) This takes humility to accept....sometimes we aren’t ready for the answer. We're not. But this reveals how loving and merciful the Lord is....He will not reveal things to us when He knows we will not understand 4) Shelf Analogy 5) Milk Before Meat 6) Go & Do Challenge: -Pick 1 item related to each shelf & work on it over the next few days; -take something out of shelf one, remember a very spiritual experience, prayer answered, principle that you know to be true, something to remind you of God’s presence & goodness -Shelf 2, what are you working on, can you expand on what you just pulled, just make sure you are studying something -Shelf 3, ask yourself, is there anything you need to put up there for awhile 7) Happy Thought Mysteries of God are spiritual truths known only by revelation. God reveals His mysteries to those who are obedient to the gospel. Some of God’s mysteries are yet to be revealed.
