Breakfast with Benefits

Beyza Theiler, Kriszta Rossiter

Nobody warned us either. Kriszta is Hungarian. Beyza is Turkish. Between us we've changed countries, rebuilt lives and started over more times than we can count. We found each other in Miami and never stopped talking. Because here's what we know: Women connect everywhere, across every language, every culture, every border. The feelings are the same. The chaos is the same. And nobody should be sitting alone with their thoughts thinking they're the only one. We bring in people who have figured something out; doctors, coaches, authors, experts and real humans and we ask them everything. We laugh, we vent, we find the light at the end of the tunnel together. Or at least we find each other in the dark. Think of it as coffee with two women who get it. You'll feel a little better after. Until the next chaos hits. 😄 For every woman who thought she was the only one. Outrageously hosted by Kriszta and Beyza. Based in Miami. Recorded everywhere. 1. She Just Wanted to See Snow: Human Trafficking & How Awareness Saves Lives

She Just Wanted to See Snow: Human Trafficking & How Awareness Saves Lives

"She just wanted to see snow." That's how Sensei Carol White describes one of the survivors she's met. Carol is a black belt martial artist and co-chair of the first human trafficking awareness committee of Women's Club of Coconut Grove in Florida and she's been fighting this in our backyard for almost a decade. The numbers stopped us cold. 1 out of 7 men here has paid for sex with a minor. 90% of identified victims are girls between 11 and 17. Most of them are local kids. With the FIFA World Cup in Miami this summer, the stakes are higher than ever. Carol explains why mega sporting events draw traffickers, and what's being done to fight back. We talk about how it actually happens, the Romeo effect, the social media grooming, the runaways and foster kids they target first. Carol shows us self-defense you can use with what's already in your hand. And she tells us the one thing to yell that actually makes people come running. (Hint: it's not "help.") This episode isn't easy. But we walked away less scared and more aware. And that's everything. See something, say something. The Sex Talk Parents Avoid: Consent, Porn & Peer Pressure

How do you talk to your kids about sex, consent, porn, and peer pressure without making the conversation awkward? In this powerful episode, we sit down with international speaker Mike Domitrz to unpack the conversation most parents avoid.  Mike made our jaws drop repeatedly. At some point we just stopped trying to close our mouths. Mike is the founder of the Center for Respect and the author of Can I Kiss You?. For more than three decades he has worked with schools, parents, universities, and organizations around the world teaching the real-life skills young people need to navigate consent, respect, relationships, and sexual pressure in the digital age. Together we discuss: • Why teens often say yes when they actually want to say no   • Why "No is not mean" and why kids need to hear it   • The myth of peer pressure and how teens create self-pressure   • How porn shapes expectations about bodies and sex   • The truth about sexting and sending nudes   • The seven ingredients of a healthy sexual relationship   • Red flags in teenage relationships   • How parents can start the conversation without shutting their kids down If parents stay silent, the internet will teach our kids about sex. This episode gives you the tools to start the conversation with honesty, respect, and confidence.
