    School House Rocks: Hallsville ISD Earns Perfect Safety Review, Student Success, Covered Facility | Superintendent John Martin

    ZERO FINDINGS. SEVEN CAMPUSES. ONE COMMITMENT TO SAFETY. Hallsville ISD has plenty to celebrate, and Superintendent John Martin joins host David Weaver on School House Rocks to share the latest developments across Bobcat Nation! One of the biggest announcements from the October Board of Trustees meeting was the district's outstanding performance on its state-driven District Vulnerability Assessment. After a comprehensive review of safety procedures and practices, Hallsville ISD received zero findings across its seven campuses. Martin explains why that achievement matters and credits the district's safety team, campus leaders, and approximately 850 employees for their commitment to keeping students and staff safe. But there's more exciting news! Hallsville is moving forward with plans for a new multi-use covered practice facility at the high school. The open-air structure will provide additional opportunities for athletics, band, drill team, and other student organizations to practice while managing the challenges of Texas heat. We also discuss the importance of recognizing students and principals, including a Hallsville High School student's photography scholarship to Rochester Institute of Technology.     School House Rocks: Smackover Gym Transformation Underway | Doug Smith on Buckaroo News & What's Next

    A major transformation is underway in Buckaroo Country! On this episode of School House Rocks, host David Weaver welcomes back Smackover-Norphlet School District Superintendent Doug Smith for a monthly update on the exciting developments happening across the district. Leading the conversation is the renovation of Smackover High School's gymnasium, where demolition is already underway and construction crews are preparing for a completely updated facility.
