    💍Marriage, 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Kids & ❤️Family: What We’ve Learned Along the Way | Real Talk | Ep 45, S 2

💍 Marriage. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Kids. ❤️ Family. Careers. Communication. Expectations. And somehow trying to keep all of it together. In Episode 45 of Real Talk with Kandi & Garrett, we’re talking about marriage and family life, and we’re bringing our own experiences to the table. And just to be clear... Kandi and Garrett are NOT married to each other! 😂 We each have our own marriages, our own families, and our own experiences. In this episode, we compare notes on what we’ve learned in our respective marriages, what has surprised us, what has challenged us, and how marriage and family life changes as you move through different seasons. Kandi brings the perspective of being married and raising twin daughters who are now adults, while Garrett is right in the middle of marriage and raising young children. Two completely different stages of family life means there is A LOT to talk about. We get into: 💍 What marriage has taught each of us👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 How having kids changes a marriage🗣️ Communication and why it matters so much🤝 Learning how to operate as a team⚖️ Balancing marriage, kids, careers, and everyday life❤️ Making your relationship a priority when family life gets busy😬 Mistakes, challenges, and things we might do differently💡 What we’ve learned from our own spouses and marriages⏳ How relationships and priorities change over the years😂 And, of course, the stories and side conversations that make Real Talk... Real Talk. We certainly don’t have all the answers, and that’s not what this episode is about. It’s about sharing real experiences from two separate marriages, looking at what we’ve learned along the way, and talking openly about something almost every married couple eventually realizes: Marriage and family life don’t come with an instruction manual. Sometimes you get it right. Sometimes you don’t. Sometimes you learn the lesson years later. And sometimes the best thing you can do is laugh about it and keep figuring it out together. 🎥 WATCH EPISODE 45 👉 https://youtu.be/zpCm0sU9ftQ 🔗 FOLLOW REAL TALK Find our episodes, social media, YouTube and more:👉 https://linktr.ee/realtalkwkg 👇 NOW WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! 🎒📚 Back to school at ACUSD: What Parents Need to Know | GTKAC | Real Talk w/ Kandi & Garrett

🎒📚 BACK TO SCHOOL: WHAT’S NEW AT ACUSD? The 2026-2027 school year is officially underway, and on the newest episode of Getting to Know Amador County, we’re sitting down with ACUSD Superintendent Jared Critchfield to talk about what’s happening in our schools, what’s changing, and what our community should know. But first, we start with Jared Critchfield the person, not just the Superintendent. We talk a little about the man behind the position and get to know the person helping lead our school district. Then we get into the new school year, including: 📘 The adoption of a new math curriculum🏫 A new principal, plus a couple of familiar faces who have officially stepped into their leadership roles🔨 Campus improvements happening throughout the district🏫 An update on the status of school consolidation🗳️ The upcoming school board election👏 Some very well-deserved recognition for a couple of longtime ACUSD employees One thing that really stood out in our conversation was the lack of major staffing changes this year, and we see that as a positive way to begin the school year. We don’t want to be a district constantly dealing with turnover. We want to retain the great teachers, administrators and staff who know our kids, know our community and are committed to our schools. We are always grateful for Superintendent Critchfield’s willingness to sit down with us, answer questions and openly share what is happening within ACUSD. These conversations are exactly why we created Getting to Know Amador County. 🎥 WATCH THE NEW EPISODE HERE:https://youtube.com/@realtalk-kg Getting to Know Amador County is part of what we do through Real Talk with Kandi & Garrett. We want to bring you conversations with the people, organizations and leaders who are helping shape our community, while giving YOU a place to join the conversation. 👇 Drop your thoughts and questions in the comments. What are you excited about this school year? What would you like to see ACUSD focus on? And while you’re there, make sure you LIKE, SUBSCRIBE & FOLLOW so you don’t miss what’s coming next! 🎙️ And stay tuned...we have some EXCITING NEWS about our NEW STUDIO coming soon! 👀🎥 Local people.
