    Episode 62 - Let's Support Our Friends!

Rise and shine! ☀️ Episode 62 of Zelocast – Glow with the Flow starts on the move as we make our way to the Singapore Botanic Gardens for a morning of music with our talented friends from The Purple Symphony! 💜🎶 And somehow… Alex has NEVER been inside the Botanic Gardens despite passing the MRT station for years. 😂 Meanwhile, Zyana’s last visit was way back during a secondary school excursion! So naturally, the journey there turns into random conversations about otters, monitor lizards, ducks, and whether we might accidentally turn this into a wildlife episode. 🦦😂 Once we reach the Green Pavilion, it’s time to sit back and enjoy the music—from beautiful brass and French horn arrangements to an Aladdin medley, plus performances by Sakinah on piano, Lawrence on flute, Nurul on percussions and Anisah on vocals. 🎹🎶 And stick around for our little post-show chat with Anisah, who admits she forgot some lyrics… Honestly? We couldn’t tell! 😂👏 📚 This episode is proudly brought to you by Picture The Book, founded by blind author Sherri Eri, creating inclusive stories for children who listen and children who see. 💛 ✨ “Stories with rhythm for kids who listen and colour for kids who see.” Visit picturethebook.com to discover their collection. Episode 61 : We Bought a New Toy! Plus Our CRAZY Phu Quoc Trip.

Welcome back to Episode 61 of Zelocast – Glow with the Flow! Alex is starting this episode VERY happy because apparently the football universe has decided to be nice to him—Spain, JDT and Arsenal are all champions! 🏆⚽ Okay Alex… enough already. 😂 But forget football for a moment because we’ve just returned from our first family adventure to Phu Quoc, Vietnam—and there were 15 of us! 🇻🇳✈️ Beautiful scenery, laidback vibes, great food… and because it’s our family, plenty of chaos. 🎢 We Got Tricked Into WHAT?!At VinWonders, Alex’s brother somehow convinced us to ride a 360-degree inverted roller coaster. Three minutes of being flipped upside down later, Zyana was surprisingly still okay… while the guys were traumatised enough to spend the rest of the day searching for kitty rides. 😂 🐘 Thanks for the “Souvenir”, Mr ElephantAlex finally got the chance to feed an elephant some bananas at the safari. Very cute… until the elephant turned around, dropped a coconut-sized 💩 in front of everyone and started spraying water everywhere. Nature is beautiful. 😂 🍣 The Great Wasabi DisasterThis one definitely wasn’t funny at the time. Alex casually popped a piece of sushi into his mouth without realising there was a MASSIVE chunk of wasabi hiding inside. Seconds later, he was choking, struggling to breathe and nearly blacking out while the whole family went into panic mode. Lesson learnt: Never trust innocent-looking sushi. 😭🌶️ 🎆 Fireworks With A Little TOO Much Front-Row AccessOur resort fireworks were absolutely gorgeous… but they were so close to our balcony that we could actually smell the smoke! One explosion even sent Alex’s sister-in-law stumbling backwards. Best view in the house? Definitely. Safe distance? Errr… next question. 😂 And then we came home to Singapore and welcomed a brand-new “staff member” into the family… 🤖 Meet our PRISM+ AI Nanobot Robot Vacuum! We bought it during the National Day sale to replace our six-year-old robot vacuum, which had developed a special talent for disappearing under the sofa and waiting for us to rescue it. 🤦‍♂️ The new one comes with AI obstacle detection, a HUGE docking station and hopefully enough intelligence to clean the house without us having to conduct a search-and-rescue operation. Even the unboxing became entertainment when Alex somehow managed to get his finger “bitten” by the wheel. 😂 And before anybody asks… Nope, this episode is NOT sponsored by PRISM+. We bought it ourselves. With our own money. 💸😂 Which technically means… PRISM+, you’re getting free advertising in Episode 61. 👀 So PRISM+ marketing team, kalau korang tengah baca ni… Robot vacuum dah ada. 🤖Microphones dah ready. 🎙️Studio floor pun boleh test. Tinggal sponsor je belum ada. 🤭😂 Episode 62, maybe? 👀Call us. 😏 📚 This episode is proudly brought to you by Picture The Book! What if a story could be felt, imagined and seen — all at the same time? Episode 60 : Would You Rather?!

60 EPISODES?! How did we get here?! 🎉 To celebrate Episode 60 of Zelocast – Glow with the Flow, we're putting the serious topics aside for a while and playing a good old game of Would You Rather! And because somebody needs to control the chaos, Chantiq is back as our official examiner, firing questions sent in by you guys. 😆 Would you rather lose music or your sense of taste? Perform for 50,000 silent people or 5 screaming fans? Give up rice or coffee? ☕🍚 Some answers were easy. Others somehow turned into full-blown debates. Chantiq also gets thrown into the hot seat with the ultimate kid crisis: Roblox or YouTube?! And yes, we somehow end up discussing her favourite Roblox game, Animal Hospital… and its creepy stalkers. 😂 But beneath all the nonsense, a few questions actually got us thinking about truth, acceptance, relationships and the future. Would you rather be understood or simply accepted for who you are? Would you tell someone a painful truth? And would you really want to know what your future holds? It’s fun, random, slightly chaotic… but somehow we still managed to get deep. Classic Zelocast. 😂 🎵 And don't forget to stream our original single “Mommy Rosemary” on your favourite music platforms! 📚 Special thanks to our sponsor, Picture The Book, founded by blind author Sherri Eri, for continuing to champion inclusive children's storytelling. ✨ “Stories with rhythm for kids who listen and colour for kids who see.” 💻 Visit picturethebook.com to discover their stories. Episode 59 : Am I Wrong For Getting Irritated When People Help Me?!

Welcome back to Episode 59 of Zelocast – Glow with the Flow! First of all, Chantiq is finally back in the studio! 🎉 It’s been a while, so we start the episode by catching up with her and celebrating her recent National Day performance on 8 August. She may have felt nervous before going on stage, but once the music started, she did an amazing job. Proud moment! 🇸🇬👏 For our main topic, we received an email from a listener we’ll call Aisyah—not her real name. While travelling independently at an MRT station, an auntie suddenly grabbed her and pulled her towards the escalator. No greeting. No explanation. Just grab and go. 😳 The auntie probably had good intentions, but Aisyah was left feeling shocked, irritated and completely disoriented. After that, she even felt guilty for being upset. But was she wrong to feel that way? For someone who is blind or visually impaired, travelling independently requires a lot of concentration. We listen for sounds, remember landmarks, count steps and build a mental map of the area. So when someone suddenly pulls us in another direction, it can completely mess up the route we were already following. It’s like using Google Maps and someone suddenly changes your destination without asking. 😂 The proper way to help is actually very simple: Just ask first. A gentle tap on the shoulder and a quick question like, “Do you need help?” or “Where are you heading?” can make a huge difference. Helping should make someone feel supported—not like they’re being carried around like a parcel. 😆 Zyana also shares a frustratingly funny story about a lady who went all out to help Alex through an MRT gantry… while completely ignoring Zyana, who was standing right behind him and is also blind. Apparently, only one blind person existed at the gantry that day. 😂 We also read a second message from a listener—a “bro” who has started catching feelings for his sighted friend. He wants to ask her out, but he has already convinced himself that she’ll reject him because of his disability. Alex shares some practical advice on how to test the water and find out whether the feeling might be mutual. The main reminder? Don’t reject yourself before the other person even gets the chance to answer. And if the answer is no, it doesn’t automatically mean your disability is the reason. Sometimes two people simply don’t match—and that happens to everyone. This episode is packed with honest advice, awkward moments, funny stories and an important reminder that helping should always come with respect, communication and dignity. Whether you’ve ever been helped a little too aggressively, accidentally ignored, or spent too much time overthinking a crush… this episode is for you. 💛 ✨ Together we make a difference. Win or lose, we are still champions. 📚 This episode is proudly brought to you by Picture The Book! What if a story could be felt, imagined and seen—all at the same time? Episode 58: Majulah… With Durian?!

Happy Birthday, Singapore!❤️ This week on Zelocast – Glow with the Flow, we're celebrating National Day in possibly the most Singaporean way imaginable... Watching the National Day Parade from home while attacking the King of Fruits — DURIAN! 👑😂 No need to squeeze into the NDP crowd. No need to chope a spot hours earlier. We've got the TV, we've got somewhere comfortable to sit, and most importantly... we've got durian. What else do we need? 😆 In Episode 58: “Majulah… With Durian?!”, we settle in for a super chill National Day episode filled with food, laughter, memories, and plenty of random Zelocast conversations as we watch Singapore celebrate another birthday. And of course, eating durian becomes an event of its own. Love it or hate it, there's something hilariously Singaporean about enjoying durian while watching the red and white celebrations on TV. 🇸🇬 Between bites, we chat about what National Day means to us, the Singapore we grew up in, and why sometimes the simplest celebrations are the ones we remember most. Because you don't always need fireworks right above your head or tickets to the parade to feel part of the celebration. Sometimes it's simply about being together, enjoying good food, laughing at nonsense and appreciating the little red dot we call home. ❤️ And as persons with disabilities, Singapore's journey towards greater accessibility and inclusion is something especially close to our hearts. We've come a long way, there's still more we can improve, but we're grateful that conversations about inclusion are becoming part of the Singapore story too. So grab your durian (or maybe stay very far away if you cannot tahan the smell 🤣), switch on the NDP and celebrate with us! From all of us at Zelocast... Happy National Day, Singapore! Majulah Singapura! Or in our case... MAJULAH... WITH DURIAN! 👑😂 ✨ Together we make a difference. Win or lose, we are still champions. 📚 This episode is proudly brought to you by Picture The Book! Episode 57 : Is Tactile Paving Actually Dangerous?!

Welcome back to Episode 57 of Zelocast – Glow with the Flow! This week, we're bringing you along for a real-life jalan-jalan adventure! 🎙️🚆 Instead of recording in the studio, we're on the move—walking through the MRT station on our way to meet our lead guitarist, Zach. So if you hear train announcements, footsteps, or a little background noise... that's because you're experiencing the journey with us! As we're making our way through the station, we start talking about something most people walk over every single day... without ever giving it a second thought. Those yellow lines and little bumps on the ground. To many people, they're just part of the floor. To us? They're our GPS. They're our guide. They're our "eyes" beneath our feet. But recently, these tactile tiles have become the centre of a lot of online discussions and concern. Are they really dangerous? Should they be removed? Or are we missing the bigger picture? In this episode, we break it all down. 🟨 The Secret Language of the Floor Ever wondered why some tactile tiles have long straight lines while others are covered in little dots? We'll show you how these simple patterns help us navigate MRT stations, find ticket gantries, locate lifts, toilets, exits, and safely move around independently. It's basically Google Maps... but for your feet. 😄 ⚠️ The Viral Debate You've probably seen people talking about tactile paving after reports of accidents. We discuss the heartbreaking incident involving a woman who lost her life after a fall near a pedestrian crossing, why the conversation became so heated, and why removing tactile paving altogether may not be the solution many people think it is. 🚧 Our Biggest Obstacle? Sometimes... People. Ironically, the tactile path is often blocked by... 📱 Someone scrolling TikTok. 🧳 A suitcase parked right in the middle. ⚠️ A "Wet Floor" sign placed exactly where we're supposed to walk. It's not intentional most of the time—but these everyday obstacles can completely interrupt our route and make independent travel much harder than it needs to be. 💛 Let's Improve, Not Remove Instead of taking tactile paving away, we believe the focus should be on improving it. Better materials. Better design. Safer surfaces. Because accessibility shouldn't disappear—it should evolve. And of course... it wouldn't be Zelocast without a random joke. 😂 Quick question... What's the similarity between a blind person and an MRT train? You'll have to listen to find out... but let's just say we both depend on our tracks! 🚆😆 Whether you've always wondered what those yellow tiles are for or you've never noticed them before, this episode might just change the way you look at the ground beneath your feet. ✨ Together we make a difference. Win or lose, we are still champions. 📚 This episode is proudly brought to you by Picture The Book! What if a story could be felt, imagined, and seen — all at the same time? Episode 55 : 10 minutes only? Just Happy2 Jamming2!

Welcome back to Episode 55 of Zelocast – Glow with the Flow! This week's episode is a little different... and a whole lot noisier! 😆 We've just wrapped up a full-band rehearsal, everyone's still buzzing with excitement, and instead of waiting until the next recording session... we thought, "Why not just hit record now?" So that's exactly what we did. This is our Post-Jam Special — a short, spontaneous episode recorded while we're packing up, squeezing into a giant cargo lift, and making our way home after an awesome band practice. It's raw... It's random... It's completely unplanned... And it's probably the closest you'll get to hanging out with the Zelotones after rehearsal. 😂 For the first time in a while, all five members were finally together, and the difference was incredible. With Zach adding his signature rock guitar, Ben bringing his keyboard magic, Alex driving the rhythm on drums, and the rest of the team experimenting with fresh ideas, our songs suddenly felt bigger, fuller, and even more exciting. Of course, we couldn't resist dropping a few hints about what's coming next... 👀 We've got performances just around the corner. 🎶 New musical ideas are brewing. 🎤 And let's just say... the second half of the year has a few surprises that we can't wait to share. Naturally, it wouldn't be Zelocast without some completely random conversations. Expect plenty of playful banter, questionable jokes, "chicken energy," and teammates hyping each other up like we're already backstage at a sold-out concert. Sometimes the best moments aren't the performances... They're the conversations that happen after everyone packs up. So if you've ever wondered what the Zelotones are really like when the cameras are off... This episode is for you. Thanks for hanging out with us, and we hope this little jam session brings a smile, a laugh, and maybe even a little extra rhythm to your day. ✨ Together we make a difference. Episode 54 : Am I Overthinking... Or Is My Relationship Really Ending?

Welcome back to Episode 54 of Zelocast – Glow with the Flow! Fresh off celebrating our first anniversary, we're slowing things down for a conversation that's a little more personal... and one that many people might quietly relate to. This week, we're joined by our lead guitarist, Zach, as we unpack an anonymous email from a listener in her early 30s who's been visually impaired since birth. She's been in a relationship for almost four years. In the beginning, everything felt easy. Conversations flowed, laughter came naturally, and love felt certain. But lately... The chats have become shorter. The laughter isn't quite the same. Every question seems to be answered with,"I'm just tired." And when you can't see someone's facial expressions or body language, silence can become incredibly loud. So... how do you know if something is really wrong? Or is your mind simply filling in the blanks? That's exactly what we explore in this episode. 💛 Zach Gets Real For the first time, Zach opens up about one of his past relationships and what it felt like when everything suddenly came to an end. From unanswered questions to being unexpectedly blocked, he shares how difficult it can be to move on when you never really get the closure you were hoping for. 💬 "Is It Because I'm Blind?" One of the hardest questions our listener asks herself is whether she's becoming a burden... or whether her partner is staying only out of sympathy. We have an honest conversation about why disability is rarely the real issue. At the end of the day, successful relationships are built on communication, trust, respect, and whether two people truly fit together—not whether one person can see. 🧩 Stop Guessing... Start Talking Alex and Zyana share practical thoughts on having difficult conversations without turning them into arguments. Sometimes the scariest conversations become the most important ones. Because knowing the truth—even if it hurts—is often better than living with endless "what ifs." 🌱 Your Life Is Bigger Than Your Relationship Love is beautiful. But your entire identity shouldn't depend on another person. We remind ourselves—and hopefully you too—that it's okay to keep chasing your dreams, enjoying your hobbies, spending time with friends, and becoming the best version of yourself, regardless of your relationship status. This episode is honest. It's emotional. It's comforting. And if you've ever found yourself overthinking a text message, replaying conversations in your head, or wondering whether your instincts are trying to tell you something... This conversation is for you. ✨ Together we make a difference. Win or lose, we are still champions. 📚 This episode is proudly brought to you by Picture The Book!
