🎙️ Episode 51: Grit, Grace and the Cost of Strength

In this episode, I had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with Donagh, the creator of the Grit and Grace podcast, and I walked away feeling so deeply moved by her honesty and her heart. 🌿 Donagh has spent 34 years in the accounting industry, and yet what struck me most wasn't her professional expertise — it was the quiet, hard-won wisdom she carries from living a life that has asked so much of her. We talked about what it means to be seen as strong, and how rarely anyone thinks to ask what that strength has actually cost. 💔 Donagh shared, with such grace and vulnerability, that eight months ago she woke to find her husband had passed away in his sleep — and how in that moment, her world stood still while everything around her kept moving. She spoke of grief, of not being given permission to grieve properly, and of choosing — consciously, bravely — to grow rather than be defined by her loss. I loved hearing Donagh talk about self-doubt and imposter syndrome, and how 'progress over perfection' was the phrase that finally got her podcast off the ground. 🎙️ There was so much I recognised in what she shared about being a woman in business who underestimates herself, who says 'I'm just an accountant' — and how she's slowly, steadily moved past that story. She also opened my eyes to Winnie the Pooh in a way I never expected, and now I genuinely want to be a little more Christopher Robin in my day-to-day life. 🍯 What healing looks like for Donagh right now is steadiness — not getting over what she's lost, but learning to move forward with it. I found that so quietly powerful. 🌅 There's also a book on the horizon, a women's networking group she's deeply involved in, and a whole lot more gold in this remarkable woman than even I knew about. May this conversation remind you that strength and softness can live in the same heart — and that your story, every layer of it, is worth telling. 🤍 You can find me at 🌐 Website: https://www.juliemargerison.com  📩 Subscribe to my fortnightly newsletter to stay connected https://www.juliemargerison.com/newsletter 🎧 Available now on all platforms. 🔗 Stay in touch: Follow me across my social media platforms here: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/heartfeltwithjuliemargerison Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/16kXnE4SGn/?mibextid=wwXIfr YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@JulieMargerison-q5l LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/julie-margerison-1a4513374 Buzzsprout: https://www.buzzsprout.com/2514174 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3IqNNE9VP8FrCZgDyhZsWK?si=5898476e481a4622 Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/heart-felt-with-julie-margerison/id1824601386 ✨ Connect with Donagh: Website: https://www.chisholmaccounting.com.au/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/chisholmaccounting Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/chisholmaccounting YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@Chisholm.Accounting LinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/donagh-chisholm-199570105 Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@chisholmaccounting  #HeartFelt #GritAndGrace #WomenInBusiness #HealingJourney #YouAreEnough

🎙️ Episode 50: Nourishing from the Inside Out

I can't quite believe I'm sitting here recording my 50th episode 🥹 and I just feel this deep wave of gratitude washing over me. A whole year of showing up, sharing stories, and holding space — and I am so, so grateful for everyone who has been part of this journey with me. A special thank you to my husband Russell, whose quiet, steady support has meant more than words can say 💛 In this solo episode, something bubbles up from inside me that I haven't spoken about openly before — and that's my deep concern about how we, as a society, are nourishing ourselves. Through my work as a support worker and in offering blissful touch massages, I spend a lot of time in one-on-one spaces with people, and what I witness has been sitting heavily in my heart lately 🌾 I want to be clear — this isn't about judgment. It's about awareness. It's about gently asking the question: what are we actually putting into our bodies, onto our skin, and into our whole being? I find myself thinking about my mum and my nan, and the simplicity of how food used to be made — flour, butter, oats, love. Real ingredients, real effort, real nourishment. And then I look at a packet of Anzac biscuits on a supermarket shelf today, and I wonder what my nan would make of it all 🍪 I share my own journey too — being coeliac, going low-carb, eventually exploring a carnivore way of eating — and how reading labels changed everything for me. Not to push my path onto anyone else, but because I genuinely believe that what we put into our bodies matters. Deeply. And I don't think we always realise just how much. 💭 I also share something that moved me recently — watching someone I've known for over ten years in a nursing home, no longer in control of what she eats, and seeing the impact of that on her health. It broke something open in me. And it reminded me why I care so much about this conversation. This episode feels a little different — rawer, more of a heart-led reflection than anything else. But it's honest, and it's real, and that's what Heart Felt is all about 🌸 May this episode plant a little seed of awareness in you — a gentle invitation to pause, to read the label, to feel into what truly nourishes your whole self. 💛 You can find me at 🌐 Website: https://www.juliemargerison.com  📩 Subscribe to my fortnightly newsletter to stay connected https://www.juliemargerison.com/newsletter 🎧 Available now on all platforms. 🔗 Stay in touch: Follow me across my social media platforms here: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/heartfeltwithjuliemargerison Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/16kXnE4SGn/?mibextid=wwXIfr YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@JulieMargerison-q5l LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/julie-margerison-1a4513374 Buzzsprout: https://www.buzzsprout.com/2514174 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3IqNNE9VP8FrCZgDyhZsWK?si=5898476e481a4622 Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/heart-felt-with-julie-margerison/id1824601386  #HeartFeltPodcast #NourishYourself #ConsciousLiving #WholesomeWellness #EpisodeFifty

🎙️ Episode 49: Serendipity, Sea Cucumbers, and a Life Fully Lived

I had the most beautiful honour of sitting across from Graeme in our very first in-person, same-room episode — and I have to say, I wasn't entirely prepared for how much this conversation would move me. 🌿 Graeme is someone I came to know in one of the most tender and sacred seasons of his life — the final weeks of his beloved wife Barb's time on this earth. I was blessed to walk alongside Barb in those last weeks, and in doing so, I came to know the quiet, steady, deeply feeling man sitting beside her. I told Graeme then — when the time is right, I'd love to hear your story. And here we are. 🤍 What unfolded between us was one of those conversations I'll carry in my heart for a long time. Graeme described himself as a drifter, and yet as I listened, what I actually heard was a man who was always exactly where he needed to be — studying sponges in Greece, sitting in the dust of Arnhem Land uncovering Australia's oldest non-Indigenous structure, riding on the back of a 3.5 metre crocodile (yes, really 🐊), and travelling the world between treatments with the woman he loved for nearly 56 years. He calls it serendipity. I call it a life led by something deeper than a plan. Graeme speaks of Barb with a tenderness that brought tears to my eyes — the last Christmas in France, the ambulance trip to see Jesus Christ Superstar when she wasn't well enough to go but went anyway, the pact they made to keep travelling no matter what. He is now honouring her voice too, editing her unfinished manuscripts and carrying her stories forward with such love. 📖✨ Grief, adventure, belonging, loss, curiosity, and the quiet courage it takes to keep going — this episode holds all of it, gently and honestly. I'm so grateful Graeme said yes. 💙 Your story is never too small, too ordinary, or too late — it is always, always enough. 🌸 You can find me at 🌐 Website: https://www.juliemargerison.com  📩 Subscribe to my fortnightly newsletter to stay connected https://www.juliemargerison.com/newsletter 🎧 Available now on all platforms. 🔗 Stay in touch: Follow me across my social media platforms here: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/heartfeltwithjuliemargerison Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/16kXnE4SGn/?mibextid=wwXIfr YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@JulieMargerison-q5l LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/julie-margerison-1a4513374 Buzzsprout: https://www.buzzsprout.com/2514174 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3IqNNE9VP8FrCZgDyhZsWK?si=5898476e481a4622 Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/heart-felt-with-julie-margerison/id1824601386 ✨ Connect with Graeme: Website: https://www.graemedobson.com/  #HeartFeltPodcast #GriefAndHealing #StoriesThatMatter #SerendipityAndSoul #LifeFullyLived

    🎙️ Episode 48: Don't Take It Personal 🌿

For most of my life, taking things personally was something I was a queen of. 💭 I convinced myself that someone's mood, their silence, their reaction — was always somehow my fault. It was exhausting, and it kept me small. In this solo episode, I share some of the moments that taught me the difference between awareness and reaction. 🌸 From finding the courage to speak up about a heavy energy in the room, to sitting with the uncertainty of unanswered messages — even from a podcast guest — I walk through some very real, very human experiences on this journey of self-discovery. I'm still learning. I won't pretend otherwise. ✨ But what I do know is that when I return to my breath, to my journal, to the quiet of my meditation, something always softens. The looping thoughts settle. And I find my way back to my soul — and out of my head. I hope something in this episode moves something within you, or simply makes you feel a little less alone in your own mind chatter. 💛 Because your story matters, and right here, you are being heard. Until next time, take care of your heart. 🤍 You can find me at 🌐 Website: https://www.juliemargerison.com  📩 Subscribe to my fortnightly newsletter to stay connected https://www.juliemargerison.com/newsletter 🎧 Available now on all platforms. 🔗 Stay in touch: Follow me across my social media platforms here: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/heartfeltwithjuliemargerison Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/16kXnE4SGn/?mibextid=wwXIfr YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@JulieMargerison-q5l LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/julie-margerison-1a4513374 Buzzsprout: https://www.buzzsprout.com/2514174 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3IqNNE9VP8FrCZgDyhZsWK?si=5898476e481a4622 Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/heart-felt-with-julie-margerison/id1824601386  #HeartFeltPodcast #DontTakeItPersonal #SelfDiscoveryJourney #MindfulLiving #JulieMargerison

🎙️ Episode 47: Identity Rebirth, Human Design & the Courage to Become with Reema

In this episode I had the most beautiful conversation with Reema, an identity rebirth coach and human design specialist calling in all the way from India, where she was soaking up the warmth of a New Year festival with her family. 🌸 From the very first moment, I felt that gorgeous feeling of goosebumps — the kind that tells me I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be. Reema's story is one of real courage and quiet revolution. She was raised to be a doctor — an obstetrician-gynaecologist, no less — and she was good at it. But somewhere along the way, she realised that being good at something and being lit up by something are two very different things. 🕯️ So she chose herself. She chose presence over prestige, motherhood over medicine, and eventually found her way to coaching through human design, nervous system work, and the kind of deep identity exploration that doesn't just teach people something new — it helps them become someone new. What moved me most in this conversation was Reema's honesty about never truly feeling seen. 💙 As someone with an open identity centre in human design, she described living as a chameleon — shifting, adapting, multifaceted — and the ache of wondering whether anyone would ever take the time to know the real her. I sat with that. I really sat with it. We also ventured into something I found genuinely fascinating — the shift the planet is moving through right now, from the Cross of Planning into the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix in 2027. A new 400-year cycle. A turning away from systems and tribes, and toward individuality, consciousness, and asking the question: 'Who am I, really?' 🌀 I'm so grateful Reema trusted me — and this space — with her story. 🙏 May this conversation gently remind me, and anyone who needs it today, that being chosen to exist in this life at all is already extraordinary. 🎙️ Episode 46: 'This Shall Pass' 🌿

In this solo episode, I get really honest about what's been showing up for me lately. 💛 No guest, no script — just me, sitting with what is, and sharing it from the heart. 🤍 I've been caught in the loop of comparing myself to others 😔 — that quiet, heavy feeling of wondering why I'm not further along, why my life doesn't look like everyone else's. It came up strongly at a lunch recently, surrounded by people, and yet feeling so deeply unseen by myself. ✨ I open up about the friendships that feel a little one-sided right now 💔, the dear friend I'm missing and dreaming about, and the gentle but powerful reminder I received to stop searching for what I need in the external world — and start giving it to myself. 🌸 I also get really real about sugar 🍫 — how it shows up as comfort when I'm feeling low, and the quiet victory of sitting with the craving and saying to myself, 'this shall pass.' And it did. 🙏 This episode is tender and unfinished, and I think that's exactly why it matters. 💫 Not every chapter has an answer yet — and that's okay. I'm learning to trust the journey, nurture myself, and honour where I am right now. 🌱 I'm so grateful you're here holding space for me, just as I hold it for you. 🤍 Your story matters. 🌟   You can find me at 🌐 Website: https://www.juliemargerison.com  📩 Subscribe to my fortnightly newsletter to stay connected https://www.juliemargerison.com/newsletter 🎧 Available now on all platforms. 🔗 Stay in touch: Follow me across my social media platforms here: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/heartfeltwithjuliemargerison Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/16kXnE4SGn/?mibextid=wwXIfr YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@JulieMargerison-q5l LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/julie-margerison-1a4513374 Buzzsprout: https://www.buzzsprout.com/2514174 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3IqNNE9VP8FrCZgDyhZsWK?si=5898476e481a4622 Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/heart-felt-with-julie-margerison/id1824601386  #HeartFeltPodcast #JulieMargerison #SelfDiscovery #NurturingSelf #ThisShallPass

    🎙️ Episode 45: 'In the Cocoon' 🦋

Sometimes the best conversations are the ones you didn't plan. ✨ In this episode, I'm joined by my wonderful husband, Russell, for a beautifully spontaneous catch-up — and I have to say, it moved me to tears. We talk about the art of receiving 🌸, and how learning to open up to it has been one of the most quietly powerful shifts in both our lives. Russell shares his experience with a six-week men's mindfulness course 🧘, and the simple but profound insight about expectations that has genuinely changed the way he moves through his days. We also revisit the hilarious story of our very first date 😄 — where I took him on a surprise picnic 🧺, and he absolutely struggled to just sit back and let himself be cared for. 💛 What I love most about this conversation is watching Russell grow. 🌱 From the man who once thought kindness might be a trick question, to someone who can now look at a red light and find the gift in it 🚦— that kind of transformation is heart felt in every sense of the word. 💫 We're in our cocoon here in Gympie, Russell and I — growing quietly, getting ready to spread our wings. 🐛🦋 Thank you for holding space for us, just as we hold it for you. 🤍 Your story matters. 🌟 You can find me at 🌐 Website: https://www.juliemargerison.com  📩 Subscribe to my fortnightly newsletter to stay connected https://www.juliemargerison.com/newsletter 🎧 Available now on all platforms. 🔗 Stay in touch: Follow me across my social media platforms here: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/heartfeltwithjuliemargerison Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/16kXnE4SGn/?mibextid=wwXIfr YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@JulieMargerison-q5l LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/julie-margerison-1a4513374 Buzzsprout: https://www.buzzsprout.com/2514174 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3IqNNE9VP8FrCZgDyhZsWK?si=5898476e481a4622 Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/heart-felt-with-julie-margerison/id1824601386  #HeartFeltPodcast #JulieMargerison #TheArtOfReceiving #MensMindfulness #GrowingTogether

🎙️ Episode 44: From Bamboo Teepee to Pyramid — My Meditation Evolution 🔺

What if the thing you've been searching for finds you at exactly the right moment? In this solo episode, I revisit a chapter from my revised edition of My Way to Happiness — It Gets Better and Better, written back in 2007 — a time when I was learning to meditate under a bamboo teepee in my backyard. It looked ridiculous. It felt sacred. And it changed everything.🤩 Fast forward to 2026, and I'm sharing a beautiful update — one that involves sacred geometry, a crystal pyramid, a rainbow moonstone, and the kind of alignment that can only be described as the universe doing its thing.🌈 I also share some exciting news about what's happening behind the scenes — including the pyramid meditations becoming available to you.🤗 Come along for this honest, heartfelt reflection on what it means to keep showing up for your own journey, even when the twine breaks.❤️ If you are interested about finding more about purchasing a pyramid contact through website.
