The Futuring Lab

Alix Wheeler

What if we could actually create a better Future? For ourselves, for each other, for our planet and for Future generations. A Future that is in service of all lives. Not one that is designed to extract and deplete it and us. This is what this podcast will explore! How to consciously create a Future that we would love to live in! And as you will hear ...it is already well on its way! I hope you will join us too.

  1. Our Beautiful Struggles

    Our Beautiful Struggles

What can you do when things around and inside of you feel so overwhelming? Feel so daunting? The enormity of the challenge often leaves us numb or hiding from what we really care about. How to bridge this gap? Where do we start? We start from inside. 🌱 Because the outer world is the reflection of our inner world. Therefore, we start by paying attention to what is preventing us from acting on what we care about, to make the vision that we have in our heart happen!  We look at what is preventing us from living in integrity with our deepest values, with care and love? That’s what we will explore together in this episode. And progressively, everything that we put out into the world, is the reflection of the care and the values that are integral to ourselves. And, in my experience, as much as AI can help us write emails, the work of creating a beautiful future for all, can only be done by us. Individually, and collectively. And it’s a real honour. So, I hope you will join us on this journey! —----------------- Please share with me your thoughts and experience on this topic, so that we can all learn from each other! 2. Mind Farming

    Mind Farming

2 years ago I partnered with a food and farming consultancy firm, EFFP, to co-develop a program that would support farmers to transition from industrial to regenerative agriculture.  A 100 questions later, (as I didn’t know much about the topic), something really struck me! I could clearly see that how we have been taught, in the western way, to cultivate the land at an industrial scale, have the same foundations that how we are being taught to cultivate our minds and our lives. With very similar strategies too… one of them being monoculture over diversity. Making extremely clear to me why we are currently facing a crisis of the individual and the crisis of the collective and societal. In this provocative episode, I explore and lean on the analogy of industrial farming, and its current evolution towards regenerative agriculture to shine the light on invisible societal norms that are currently depleting our lands and ourselves.  Luckily, as agriculture is evolving towards a life-giving way of treating our land and soil, there is a lot we can learn to do the same for ourselves.  This episode if purposefully provocative and I'd love to hear what came up for you as you listened to it! 🙂 Either here or on LinkedIn Alix Wheeler. ------------- And, if you enjoyed this episode, don't forget to rate the show and subscribe to it. Art & Us

“Through Art, we are being less guided by our mental voices and more by our inner senses.” (Alix Wheeler) What if creativity could be more than an atrophied muscle for us? Instead it could be an amazing doorway to creating a different future! How can practicing a form of Art, in our daily lives, become a wonderful medium for seeing beyond the set structures we are trying to evolve? - now AND for our future? In this episode I am sharing an experience I had as a participant of a fabulous Art event hosted by SEED 2065: - Reflecting on the power of the artistic creative process (in comparison to a more coporate creative process) and the mindblowing results! - As well as, the unsuspected benefits that #Art can have for us, for our family, our community and the wider systems we are contributing to. I hope you will enjoy the prompts, the provocations and have fun with it!! Let’s get Arty 🙂   —-- If you enjoyed it, don't forget to rate the show and subscribe to it. It helps more people find it! The Wave that is coming!

In this 21st episode of the Futuring Lab, I wanted to develop a bit more on the event I have recently been to: ChangeNOW in Paris. An event aimed at pulling together the people working on creating a better future for all.  It’s the second year I have been to this event and I left again with such an expended perception of the world, a renewed energy and sense of community, that I wanted to share it with you! In this episode I share and explore with examples, the three major shifts that I have noticed in this conference: The shift in narrative: The emerging future is more fun, more sexy, more resilient than the current (extractive) world we live in. The shift in Power narrative: from Power over to Power With. The shift in more traditional sectors (like finance): Their evolution is real and well, well considered on leading the way. Too often these amazing people, solutions and shifts are too hard to find, and to acknowledge, so instead, I am bringing some of their wisdom to your ears. I hope you enjoy this episode and leave as energised and with a renewed will to act, as I have! And please let me know your questions, thoughts or perceptions on either the event or my take on it. I’d love to connect! alixwheeler.coaching@gmail.com If you enjoyed this episode please rate the show and save it, it enables more people to find it! ----- And here are the links to the replay for ChangeNow and more particularly to some of the talks I am referring to in the episode: All replays from the event: https://www.changenow-summit.com/2026/replay Sexy climate change: https://www.changenow-summit.com/2026/replay/detail/?id=609&title=How%20to%20Organize%20Collective%20Action Faith and wisdom:  https://www.changenow-summit.com/2026/replay/detail/?id=675&title=Faiths%20and%20Wisdom%20for%20the%20Earth The path to European sovereignty: https://www.changenow-summit.com/2026/replay/detail/?id=680&title=The%20Path%20to%20European%20Sovereignty Changing financial structures: Not available at the time of publishing
