Episode 65 : Certified Recovery Peer Advocate Vincent Infusino!

On the next edition of Reset and Rise To The Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome Vincent Infusino to the show! Here's his bio in his own words : Born February 1st 1983, I was a troubled child growing up who would lash out for attention. My parents divorced when I was just 4 years old and both remarried shortly after. I have one older sister and one younger brother on moms side. I attended church for about 10 years and was an alter boy and played the bells as well as Sunday school. Was in judo/jujitsu for about 8 years until my uncle passed from heart problems at 32 and he had just won world jujitsu title in 1998, it was devastating so i stopped going for awhile. I have had over 20 jobs in my life starting at 14. I have been in multiple car accidents overall, some extremely bad but somehow walked away from all of them with little injuries. 3 were caused by drinking others just really bad luck which i have absolutely no doubt i have. Very very severe car accidents i should not be alive. I was married 4 years, had beautiful daughter Bailey Marie.. (The Apple).. legally separated 15 years ago.. wife had an affair and i got really into drug addiction around 2009.. struggled all my life with alcoholism but it all got worse in time. In and out of treatments both inpatient and outpatient .. in 2014 i decided to take my life and nearly succeeded. I blew a .29 and doused myself in multiple pills where my father found me unconscious. Had been in a psych ward 3 times do to severe depression and PTSD. Attempted suicide multiple times thereafter. 2016 DWI 5 miles away from home.. 2019 DWI in my driveway where i fought both cops to try and get into house.. it was bad. i then decided to get serious with my help so made deal with judge. Went away for inpatient rehab for 120 days, then had the option to go home or continue treatment.. went to halfway house for 6 months and got certified in Peer Specialist CRPA. Then 2021 supportive living for 2 years while going back to school (college) for health and human studies and chemical dependency. Got a job after one year of schooling as i just needed specific courses.. absolutely loved being a CRPA but after 3.5 years and 2 jobs of it i got burnt out.. blood pressure got really bad and started getting severe migraines. However I took up Bodybuilding and fell in love with it. After a HUGE transfermation in my physique, I entered an Ameteur Competition and placed 4th out of 12 people. I Dont take it as serious as i used to as of today. Anyways, as a CRPA (Peer Advocate) I also felt that i wasn't paid nearly enough for the heartbreak i had to be around day in and out. people i got close to took their lives and it started to become too much. I got so depressed i tried to take my life again drinking myself to death. On 2/13/2026 i was taken to hospital as my ex called for welfare check while i was in Hotel. I blew a .38......I know. 😢 Still Alive i spent 2 weeks in Hospital and my ex visited me nearly every day, (we arent together anymore as she cheated) but was fired from my job BECAUSE i was Hospitalized showing just how caring and Concerned PF was for me. Speed up to now.. Ive struggled to find and keep Employment and my parents were retiring to florida so i needed to find a place of my own again. I finally found a job and Oct 5th i start at a factory making Special Metals for all kinds of things like heart stents. And now here we are today. Drug Addict from 2009 - 2026 on and off but was clean from 2018 - 2025 Alcoholic from 2001 - 2026 on and off but clean from 2019 - 2026 I went 8 years Clean and Sober and i plan on going the rest of my life that way.  Follow Amanda on Instagram : @BackupBowler83 Follow the show on Instagram and Tik Tok : @ResetandRisePodcast⁩ Send us an email with your questions and comments : resetandrisepodcast@gmail.com Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/reset-and-rise-to-the-unbreakable--6690676/support.

Episode 63 : Competitive Shooter Aaron Garvey!

On this edition of Reset and Rise to the Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome Aaron Garvey to the show! Here's his bio in his own words : Growing up, partying and drinking were normalized as just something people did to have fun. By my teenage years, drinking and drugs had become part of life for me and the crew of individuals I ran with. What started out as fun slowly lowered my expectations for myself, my goals, and my ambitions. Eventually, I dropped out of high school and settled into a life of simply getting through one day at a time. I got married young to my amazing wife to this day, who came from a completely different background. I had hoped that maybe with her different lifestyle, goals and ambitions it would be the fresh start I needed to turn the page and find myself again and rekindle the goals and ambitions I once had. Unfortunately, my lifestyle eventually rubbed off on her, and before long, partying, drinking, and drugs were once again what we did for fun. I have spent most my life as a blue collar worker, and that lifestyle made it easy to keep doing what I had always done. But eventually, I became sick of the person I had become, no real goals, no ambition and no direction. I was simply just living day to day and existing. I tried a couple times over the years to get sober, but never took it to serious and never made the necessary changes I needed to stay on the path to recovery. Just over three years ago I was dealing with a lot of, what I kept hidden depression and resentment towards myself. I did a lot of soul searching and knew the only thing that was probably going to give me a chance of changing the perspective I had of myself was getting sober. I now had the mindset and the will power to take getting sober serious, but still had zero clue of how to fill the void that drugs and alcohol had created. I was just over two months sober, and struggling to stay on track when I bumped into a gentleman who introduced me to the world of precision rifles. I had always had an interest and love for firearms, so naturally I was interested in giving it a look. What started out as an interest turned into a hobby and quickly became the outlet I was searching for to fill the void once consumed by alcohol and drugs. Precision rifles have given me the passion to chase goals and to pursue a better me. Most importantly, precision rifles have become a huge part of finding the person I always imagined being. A person with ambition, goals and a passion to always be a bigger better version of who I was yesterday. Although the precision rifle world started out as a hobby at first, over the last two years I have completely entrenched myself not only into my local shooting community, but into the shooting community worldwide. I have built strong relationships with many of the industry leaders in the sport who have given me a ton of support, and in 2026 I was honored to have had the privilege of joining the Athlon Optics Pro Staff. Although my journey may have just begun, I feel light years ahead of the person I once was! Follow us on Facebook! Episode 62 : Jeff Skiers!

On the next edition of Reset and Rise To The Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome Jeff Skiers to the show! Here's his bio : Jeff Skiers is a father who has experienced significant personal challenges and has worked to rebuild his life through recovery, perseverance, and an ongoing commitment to his family. Jeff describes himself as an alcoholic who reached a difficult period in his life that included emotional and financial hardship. Those circumstances created challenges that he continues to work through, but they represent one part of his broader life story rather than the definition of who he is. More than two years ago, Jeff made the decision to stop drinking and has maintained his sobriety since then. His recovery has provided an opportunity to move forward, learn from the past, and focus on building greater stability in his life. One of the most important relationships in Jeff's life is with his son, Jaiden. Jeff speaks with deep affection about his son and places considerable importance on their relationship. The two share a love of bowling, giving them a meaningful activity they can enjoy together and an opportunity to create lasting memories as father and son. Jeff's story includes addiction, hardship, mistakes, and periods of significant adversity. It also includes recovery, personal growth, and a determination to keep moving forward. His more than two years of sobriety and his relationship with Jaiden are important parts of the life he is building today. Jeff's life can best be described as an ongoing process of rebuilding—acknowledging the past while focusing on the future and the people and activities that matter most to him. Episode 61 : Mimi Royals!

On the next edition of Reset and Rise To The Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome Mimi Royals to the show! Here's her bio : Mimi Royals is an author, mother, woman of faith, and extraordinary survivor whose life story is a testament to what it means to keep going when life gives you every reason not to. But Mimi is also an original. You won't find anyone quite like her. She is bold, funny, outspoken, fiercely loyal, sometimes irreverent, and unapologetically herself. She has never been particularly interested in fitting neatly into anyone else’s expectations of who she should be, and that authenticity is woven throughout her story. Mimi’s journey with adversity began early. As a child, she battled bone cancer and underwent major surgery involving the removal of one of her ribs, an experience that introduced her to fear, uncertainty, and survival long before most children ever have to even understand those words. And life didn’t necessarily get easier from there. Over the years, Mimi experienced profound loss and heartbreak, including the death of her father as a teen, murder of family members, struggles with infertility and pregnancy loss, the devastating loss of her mother to cancer, and later the death of her beloved sister. She navigated challenges in her marriage and family, periods of loneliness and uncertainty, and moments when simply putting one foot in front of the other required tremendous strength. Then cancer came for Mimi again. Diagnosed with Stage 3B colorectal cancer, Mimi endured major surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and eventually a devastating recurrence involving her spine. At one point, her prognosis was measured not in years or months, but in days. Yet Mimi’s story did not end there. Through groundbreaking treatment with Opdivo, remarkable medical care, faith, miracles, and an almost stubborn determination to keep fighting, Mimi survived what once seemed unsurvivable. Her memoir, I Am Preserved, tells that story—not as the story of a woman who escaped hardship, but of a woman who learned how to live right in the middle of it. Mimi’s life has taught her that resilience doesn’t mean never being afraid, angry, heartbroken, or exhausted. Sometimes resilience is laughing when you probably should be crying. Sometimes it is allowing other people to carry you. Sometimes it is questioning everything and finding your way back to faith. And sometimes it is simply deciding, one more time, “I’m not done yet.” Today, Mimi brings honesty, humor, faith, gratitude, and a refreshingly unfiltered perspective to conversations about fear, grief, cancer, relationships, motherhood, loss, and starting over. She doesn’t pretend adversity made her perfect. It made her more certain of who she is.

    Episode 58 : Trevor Churchman!

On the next edition of Reset and Rise To The Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome Trevor Churchman to the show! Here's his bio in his own words : Trevor Churchman is a father of three and married for almost twenty years. The son of a single mother who grew up in Southern Idaho, Trevor experienced both the best and worst parts of growing up as an only child in a rural area. Trevor is a former Idaho Army National Guardsman with a deployment to Iraq, a former 911 dispatcher, and previously served as a reserve sheriff’s deputy. Currently, Trevor is a Flight Nurse, Critical Care/ Rapid Response Nurse, ground EMS EMT, a member of a Special Operations Rescue Team, a member and president of a public library board of trustees, vice-president of a school foundation board and a volunteer with an adaptive athlete non-profit. Outside of work, Trevor is an ultramarathoner and is currently on a daily running streak of over 4,250 consecutive days and holds aspirations of running a 100-mile distance. While deeply grateful for all of the opportunities and amazing adventures that he has experienced, there has also been a fair amount of turmoil and difficulty on that journey. Childhood abuse combined with countless traumatic experiences, poor coping mechanisms and a rebellious streak led to substance abuse issues, legal complications, mental health crises and a lifelong propensity for depression, self-destruction and intrusive thoughts. These experiences and tendencies all contributed to creating a daily battle for forward progress. Trevor has grown and although daily struggles still exist, firmly believes that one of the most important routes to true success and tenacity in the face of failure and adversity is empathy. With over ten years of bedside nursing with thousands of patient contacts, Trevor finds peace, resilience and redemption in helping others. No matter what situation arises and regardless of the horror that life can bring, there is rarely a problem that cannot be positively addressed with a mindset rooted in kindness, integrity and empathy.
