Ep. 118 - Ericsson Ends Drought / Freedom 250 Preview

In tonight's episode, the guys Derik, Joshua (X - @warrior0506) & Michael (X - @MichaelDFMunro) are back in studio to review and discuss yesterday's Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham and preview the upcoming Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington D.C. The first-ever Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham delivered a wild 90-lap NTT INDYCAR SERIES race — and a dramatic finish on the Streets of Markham. Marcus Ericsson came from behind late in the race to pass Romain Grosjean with just five laps remaining and capture the inaugural Markham victory for Andretti Global. The win was Ericsson's fifth career IndyCar victory and ended a 63-race winless streak dating back to his 2023 season-opening win at St. Petersburg. Romain Grosjean put together an impressive drive from 16th on the grid to finish second, coming agonizingly close to his first IndyCar victory. Will Power completed the podium after an incredible recovery from 25th on the starting grid. Alex Palou finished fourth after starting 11th, while Pato O'Ward rounded out the top five. Palou's result was particularly important for the championship, as he extended his points advantage after several of his closest rivals encountered trouble. The inaugural race on the 2.19-mile, 12-turn temporary street circuit featured multiple cautions, crashes and major swings in strategy. Pole-sitter Louis Foster led early but ultimately retired after an incident, while Kyle Kirkwood also suffered an early exit. Ericsson's decisive move came after he pitted from the lead with 21 laps remaining. He returned to the track in seventh on fresh alternate tires, charged through the field and eventually hunted down Grosjean. The winning margin was 7.5305 seconds. This video breaks down the biggest moments from the historic first IndyCar race in Markham, including Ericsson's comeback, Grosjean's heartbreaking runner-up finish, Power's remarkable recovery, Palou's championship drive and the final race results. Watch the full recap and let us know in the comments: Was Marcus Ericsson's late-race charge the drive of the day? #IndyCar  #IndyMarkham  #P2P 🏁  It’s all on the official IndyCar Podcast of Your News, the Push To Pass Podcast at 7 PM/ET! Ep. 115 – Palou Conquers Nashville

In tonight's episode of the Push To Pass Podcast, Derik, Joshua (X - @warrior0506) & Michael (X - @MichaelDFMunro) are back in studio to review and discuss this afternoon's Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix. The Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix delivered one of the most dramatic race days of the 2026 IndyCar season — and it didn’t even start on race day. Heavy rain on Sunday forced officials to postpone the event, pushing the 300‑lap, 399‑mile concrete‑oval marathon to Monday afternoon at Nashville Superspeedway. When the green finally flew, the field immediately showed how intense the day would be. Kyle Kirkwood, starting from pole after a razor‑sharp qualifying run, led the opening laps while Josef Newgarden and Alex Palou stalked him from behind. The initial start was waved off, and chaos arrived early: a Lap 19 caution triggered by rookie Caio Collet slamming the Turn 4 wall reshuffled the running order and opened the door for off‑sequence strategies. From there, the race became a battle of pace vs. patience. David Malukas, starting 25th and last, vaulted up the leaderboard by staying out during early cautions, eventually leading a race‑high 59 laps. His charge — combined with multiple interrupted green‑flag pit cycles — kept the front of the field in constant flux. But the turning point came just past halfway. Alex Palou pitted moments before a mid‑race caution, cycling him to the front. Once he had clean air, the four‑time champion took control of the afternoon. Palou’s pace on the 1.33‑mile concrete oval was relentless, and despite late pressure from Newgarden, he never cracked. The final 35 laps were a straight fight: Palou defending with inch‑perfect lines Newgarden attacking in front of his home crowd Malukas and Scott McLaughlin charging behind them In the end, Palou crossed the line 0.873 seconds ahead of Newgarden to claim his fifth win of the 2026 season, extending his championship lead to 83 points. #IndyCar #MusicCityGP It’s all on the official IndyCar Podcast of Your News, the Push To Pass Podcast at 7 PM/ET! Ep. 114 – Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix Preview

In Monday's episode of the Push To Pass Podcast, Derik, Joshua (X - @warrior0506) & Michael (X - @MichaelDFMunro) are back in studio to preview and discuss this weekend's Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix. The Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix returns July 18–19 at Nashville Superspeedway, delivering one of the most ambitious IndyCar weekends of the season — a 400‑mile night race, a massive concert lineup, and a global sports doubleheader with the FIFA World Cup Final leading directly into the green flag. Set under the lights on the 1.33‑mile concrete oval, this year’s event expands to 300 laps / 400 miles, making it the longest Music City Grand Prix ever and a true endurance test for teams and drivers. Championship leader Alex Palou enters with a commanding points advantage — 404 to Kyle Kirkwood’s 348 — but Nashville Superspeedway remains one of the few tracks he hasn’t conquered. He finished second here last year, and the question heading into Sunday is simple: can anyone stop Palou, or does he finally check off the Tennessee oval that’s eluded him? Local hero Josef Newgarden, last year’s winner, looks to defend his hometown crown as the field prepares for long green‑flag runs, tire management battles, and high‑speed strategy on one of IndyCar’s rare concrete superspeedways. #IndyCar #MusicCityGP This preview breaks down the storylines, the stakes, the drivers to watch, and how Nashville’s signature blend of racing and music is shaping one of the most anticipated weekends on the 2026 IndyCar calendar. Ep. 112 - Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio Preview

In Monday's episode of the Push To Pass Podcast, with Derik out on assignment, Joshua (X - @warrior0506) & Michael (X - @MichaelDFMunro) are in studio to preview and discuss this weekend's Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio. The Honda Indy 200 at Mid‑Ohio returns July 5th, bringing high‑intensity, precision‑focused racing to one of IndyCar’s most demanding natural‑terrain road courses. Drivers will tackle the 13‑turn, 2.258‑mile Mid‑Ohio Sports Car Course — a track defined by rhythm, razor‑thin margins, and punishing consequences for even the smallest mistake. This year’s event arrives with major storylines already in motion. Kyle Kirkwood topped the recent multi‑team test with a blistering 1:05.3542 lap, signaling a potential resurgence after a mid‑season slump. Alex Palou, the championship leader, remains the benchmark at Mid‑Ohio with five straight podiums and a 2023 victory — making him the driver everyone must beat. Rinus VeeKay continues his breakout season with Juncos Hollinger Racing, finishing just 0.0588 seconds off Kirkwood’s test pace, while rookie standout Dennis Hauger impressed with the third‑fastest time and enters the weekend leading the Rookie of the Year standings. The weekend also marks a homecoming for Indy 500 winner Felix Rosenqvist, who returns to Mid‑Ohio with Meyer Shank Racing and aims to deliver the team’s first victory on their home track. Expect an electric Fourth of July atmosphere, packed grandstands, and a fiercely competitive grid ready to attack one of IndyCar’s purest road‑racing challenges. #IndyCar #Honda200 It’s all on the official IndyCar Podcast of Your News, the Push To Pass Podcast at 7 PM/ET! In tonight's episode of the Push To Pass Podcast, Derik, Joshua (X - @warrior0506) & Michael (X - @MichaelDFMunro) are back in studio from a exciting race in Wisconsin the XPEL Grand Prix at Road America. Sunday's XPEL Grand Prix at Road America delivered one of the most dramatic chapters of the INDYCAR season, with strategy gambles, bold overtakes, and late‑race chaos defining the four‑mile showdown in Elkhart Lake. From the opening lap, the field attacked the high‑speed layout with aggression—slipping through the Kink, diving into Turn 5, and trading positions all the way to Canada Corner. Mid‑race cautions reshuffled the order and forced teams into split strategies, setting up a tense fuel‑and‑tire chess match. The leaders battled wheel‑to‑wheel through the final stint, with decisive passes on the Moraine Sweep and a breathtaking fight through the Carousel shaping the run to the checkered flag. In the closing laps, the race erupted into a sprint finish as drivers pushed beyond the limit, hunting every inch of grip on worn tires. The winner sealed the victory with precision and nerve, mastering Road America’s elevation changes and long straights to claim a defining moment in the 2026 championship fight. This recap captures every major storyline—race‑altering cautions, standout drives, pit‑lane perfection, and the high‑speed drama that makes Road America one of the most demanding circuits in North America. #IndyCar #XPELGP It’s all on the official IndyCar Podcast of Your News, the Push To Pass Podcast at 7 PM/ET!
