Highlights: Policy Dialogue | Simona De Rosa, T6 Ecosystems

In this episode, Simona De Rosa, Partner and Senior Researcher at T6 Ecosystems, presents T6 work with policy dialogue in European projects by bringing a concrete example: the PACESETTERS Policy Brief, a document we delivered to highlight the role of artistic research in Europe’s regenerative future. Over the years, T6 has developed a structured approach to policy dialogue, but we do not have a unique receipt. The process is tailored made for the projects where we are engaged. For example, for the policy brief “PACESETTERS: Empowering Creative and Cultural Practitioners to shape Europe’s Regenerative Future” we start from research, but we translate findings into strategic, actionable recommendations. We time our outputs to match key EU debates, like the next Horizon Europe Work Programme or the upcoming Multiannual Financial Framework, and we frame our recommendations in a way that resonates with policymakers — concrete, practical, and linked to Europe’s wider competitiveness and transition goals. Through this process, T6 acts as a mediator: connecting the world of research and innovation with the world of policy. ___ Find Out More: https://www.t-6.it/ LinkedInInstagramBlueSky--- Produced by T6 Ecosystems Host: Simona De RosaCreative Direction: Sara DoratoPost production and Editing: Danilo CaponeMusic by Pixabay

Episode 5. PACESETTER: Powering artistic and cultural entrepreneurship to drive the climate transition - A conversation with Florian Schneider

In this episode, Simona De Rosa, Partner and Researcher at T6 Ecosystems, interviews Florian Schneider, Professor of Art Theory and Documentary Practices at the Trondheim Academy of Fine Art, within the Faculty of Architecture and Fine Art at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He is also the Director of the Institute for Creativity at the University of Galway and the President of the Society for Artistic Research (SAR). Florian is a filmmaker, writer, and curator. Florian also coordinates the PACESETTERS project, in which T6 is a partner. PACESETTERS seeks to accelerate the climate transition by moving beyond individual, short-term entrepreneurship toward collaborative and sustainable action. The project explores support mechanisms that empower art, culture, creativity, and heritage to drive climate action. In this episode, Simona and Florian focus on the importance of artistic research as a game changer in research practices. They highlight both the value and the challenges of interdisciplinarity, sharing how they address these complexities to demonstrate the transformative power of collective action in driving sustainable change. Highlights: Stakeholder Engagement | Sara Giorgi, T6 Ecosystems

In this episode, Sara Giorgi, researcher at T6 Ecosystems, takes us behind the scenes of one of the most crucial elements of the CircEUlar project: stakeholder engagement. CircEUlar explores how to drive societal transformation toward a net-zero circular economy, focusing on mobility, buildings and appliances, and digitalisation. Sara shares two parallel workstreams which form the basis of our stakeholder engagement approach, and speaks about the challenges, not just as a formality, but as an embedded, meaningful part of the process. But what makes T6's approach unique? Flexibility, timing, and an insistence on dialogue over data extraction. Stakeholder input directly shapes the development of circular economy pathways through activities like co-validation with modelers and visual storytelling. When done right, stakeholder engagement doesn't just support research, it transforms it: learn more in this episode! As Lead partner for the communication activities in CircEUlar, we, as T6, have also curated a series of conversations between CircEUlar researchers and contemporary artists. These dialogues have been captured in the video series “Art Meets Science: Bridging Worlds for Circular Pathways" to bring fresh energy to scientific communication, making complex ideas around climate change and the circular economy more accessible and emotionally resonant! ___ Find Out More: https://www.t-6.it/ LinkedInInstagramBlueSky--- Produced by T6 Ecosystems Host: Simona De RosaCreative Direction: Sara DoratoPost production and Editing: Danilo CaponeMusic by Pixabay

Episode 4. CircEUlar: Developing circular pathways for a EU low-carbon transition - A conversation with Nora Mayr.

In this episode, Katja Firus, Partner and Head of the Sustainability Department at T6 Ecosystems, interviews Nora Mayr, a freelance curator, lecturer at the Node Center for Curatorial Studies, and since 2022 part of the Angewandte Interdisciplinary Lab (AIL) at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Nora collaborated with us on a special arts and science initiative, that was part of the European project called CircEUlar, in which T6 is a consortium member.Together, they explore how research shapes the way we live, work, and interact with our planet; how it drives transformative solutions; and how it can translate into real-world impact by moving from ideas to action. The episode reflects about the role that arts and the collaboration between scientists and artists can have in order to present complex scientific work to a broader audience, by looking at climate-change related research and in particular the collaboration of CircEUlar with the KlimaBiennale 2024 in Vienna through the Sensing Resonance initiative. >> For more insights, have a look at our interviews with involved artist, scientist, curators ...___ Find Out More: https://www.t-6.it/ LinkedInInstagramBlueSky--- Produced by T6 Ecosystems Host: Simona De RosaCreative Direction: Sara DoratoPost production and Editing: Danilo CaponeMusic by Pixabay

Episode 1. The First Series: Arts, Science and Technology. Why we need to merge artistic practices in the scientific world?

For this first series of episodes of Ecosystem Exchange, we will dive into a fascinating topic - the intersection between Art, Science, and Technology - and how the European Commission’s initiatives are reshaping the way we think about research, policy, and societal change.  This first episode is dedicated to understanding how creativity and arts are gaining a central role within the logic of the European research strategies. Through this episode, Simona De Rosa from T6 Ecosystems will reference policy papers and scientific studies that highlight why the combination of these fields is crucial for future innovation. Also, she will cite current EU projects that are contributing to the understanding of the potential of arts and creativity within research processes.
