    West Ham Pressure Builds, Southampton Run Riot & Stoke in Trouble | Championship Review

    Another chaotic weekend in the EFL Championship gives us plenty to dissect as Southampton, Norwich and Wolves all hit four or more, West Ham remain without a league win and the pressure begins to build at several Championship clubs. We start with Southampton’s stunning 5-1 demolition of Millwall. After a slow start to the season, have Southampton finally clicked into gear — and did this result expose a weakness that other teams can exploit against Millwall? West Ham’s difficult return to the Championship continues after a 1-1 draw at Watford. Despite dominating periods of the game and having one of the most talented squads in the division, they are still searching for their first win. With supporters already voicing their frustration, we discuss just how much pressure is beginning to build and how quickly West Ham need to turn performances into results. Swansea City produce one of the performances of the weekend with a dominant 3-0 victory away at Derby County, as their increasingly deep squad continues to impress. For Derby, however, another poor performance raises questions about their start to the season and how quickly things need to improve. Norwich City finally announce themselves with a huge 4-1 victory at Burnley, while we assess a disastrous defensive afternoon for the Clarets. Wolves also look increasingly like a major Championship promotion contender after beating Stoke City 4-1 — and Stoke are quickly becoming one of the biggest concerns in the division after a winless start, confused performances and yet more transfer activity. Middlesbrough underline their promotion credentials with a 3-1 win over an impressive West Brom side before we head into our Six in Six.
