The Deeper Desire Beneath Your Everyday Longings | Coffee Talk | Fr. Joseph x Fr. Todd

Why do the things we think will satisfy us so often leave us wanting more? In this Coffee Talk conversation, Father Joseph and Father Terry explore the difference between healthy desire and the endless pursuit of things that can never truly satisfy our souls.Through the story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well, we discover how our everyday longings can point us toward something deeper: the living water only God can provide. Together, we explore how slowing down, asking honest questions, and growing in Christian community can help us uncover what we're really searching for and learn to share the hope we've found in Jesus. As we wrap up our Witness preaching series, we're reminded that sharing our faith isn't about winning arguments or having all the answers. It's about listening well, recognizing where the Holy Spirit is already at work, and inviting others to experience the hope, peace, and joy we've found in Christ. What are you really hungry for? What are you thirsting for? Come and see.To support our ministry and help us continue to reach the city of Denver and all around the world, click here: https://give.tithe.ly/?formId=5d8f6477-21d0-4256-ba6a-e3fbfd157d8b

Finding Lasting Satisfaction in Jesus | Father Joseph Wolyniak

Why do the things we long for so often leave us wanting more? From success and security to relationships and recognition, we spend our lives chasing things that promise satisfaction but never quite fill the ache within us.In this message from the Witness sermon series, we explore Isaiah 55, Psalm 42, and Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well in John 4. Discover how our deepest desires point beyond themselves to the living water only Jesus can offer, and how understanding our own thirst can change the way we love, listen to, and share the hope of Christ with others.Christian witness isn't about having all the answers or standing on a moral pedestal. It's about recognizing our shared human longing, listening to the people around us, and having the courage to tell them where we've found hope.Scripture: Isaiah 55:1–3, Psalm 42:1–2, John 4:1–26Series: Witness — Being Good News PeopleWhat are you really thirsty for, and where are you looking to be satisfied? To support our ministry and help us continue to reach the city of Denver and all around the world, click here: https://give.tithe.ly/?formId=5d8f6477-21d0-4256-ba6a-e3fbfd157d8b

Following Jesus Across Divides | Coffee Talk | Fr. Terry x Fr. Joseph

What if sharing our faith starts not with convincing people, but with genuinely loving them?In this sermon recap, we explore Jesus' teaching in Luke 14 and the radical way He approached meals, friendship, status, and social divisions. Jesus consistently crossed boundaries, welcomed people others overlooked, and treated everyone as an equal guest at God's table. The Eucharist reminds us that we all come as beggars, receiving God's grace, mercy, and love. From there, we're challenged to carry that posture into our everyday relationships. Rather than treating people as projects or relationships as opportunities for a "bait and switch," what would it look like to genuinely listen, share a meal, build friendship, and allow our faith to naturally become part of the conversation? This conversation explores:- Jesus and the social hierarchy of His time- The connection between Luke 14 and the Eucharist- Why we all come to God's table with both dignity and humility- Moving from the church into genuine relationships with people outside our usual circlesWhat it means to "give a defense" for the hope within usFollowing Jesus in an increasingly polarized and divided worldScripture: Luke 14; 1 Peter 3:15The invitation is simple: cross divides, make friends, listen well, and let the Spirit work.To support our ministry and help us continue to reach the city of Denver and all around the world, click here: https://give.tithe.ly/?formId=5d8f6477-21d0-4256-ba6a-e3fbfd157d8b

Who Gets a Seat at the Table? | Jesus, Grace & Radical Hospitality | Fr. Terry McGugan

What if the table of Jesus has nothing to do with status, power, or what we can give in return? In Luke 14, Jesus turns the social rules of his world upside down, revealing a kingdom where the poor, the outsider, the overlooked, and the undeserving are welcomed by grace. As we gather around the Eucharistic table, we are reminded that what we receive from God is meant to move beyond the table and into every relationship, home, workplace, and meal we share. This message challenges us to become good news people by practicing radical hospitality: inviting others in, listening to their stories, sharing our lives, and extending the same grace we have freely received from Jesus. You Don’t Have to Convince Anyone | Coffee Talk | Fr. Todd x Fr. Joseph

What if sharing your faith didn’t have to be complicated? In this conversation, Father Todd explores the power of a simple invitation: “Come and see.” Through the stories of Ruth and Naomi, Philip and Nathaniel, the Samaritan woman, and his own journey into ministry, we’re reminded that we don’t have to control the outcome, have all the answers, or convince someone to believe. We can simply invite others into something we have experienced ourselves and trust the Holy Spirit to do the rest.Witness can look like inviting someone to church, sharing something that has given you hope, praying with a friend, serving your community, or simply letting someone see what following Jesus looks like in your life.Come with me and see.#ChristianFaith #ChristianDiscipleship #FollowingJesus #Evangelism #ChristChurchDenverToTo support our ministry and help us continue to reach the city of Denver and all around the world, click here: https://give.tithe.ly/?formId=5d8f6477-21d0-4256-ba6a-e3fbfd157d8b

You Don’t Need All the Answers to Be a Witness | Coffee Talk | Fr. Terry x Fr. Joseph

What does it actually mean to be a witness to Jesus? It doesn’t mean having every theological answer, convincing someone to believe, or becoming an expert in apologetics. It means being willing to say, “This is what I’ve experienced.” In this Coffee Talk conversation, we explore the call to witness in Acts 1 and what it looks like to recognize, remember, and share the ways we have encountered God. We talk about spiritual experiences, the mystery of God, the importance of Christian community, and why spiritual growth often happens slowly—not through a constant stream of dramatic moments, but through faithful attention and returning to Jesus again and again. It doesn’t happen every time, but it happens over time.

Come and See: The Power of a Simple Invitation | Fr. Todd Blackham

What if sharing your faith is simpler than you think? Throughout Scripture, God uses ordinary relationships, conversations, and invitations to draw people into life-changing encounters with Him. Ruth had Naomi. Nathanael had Philip. And sometimes, three simple words are enough to open the door: “Come and see.” In this message, we explore how witness isn’t about having all the answers, winning an argument, or convincing someone to believe. It’s about paying attention to the people God has already placed in your life, opening the door, and trusting Jesus with what happens next. You never know what might be on the other side of an invitation.
