    Embodying Empress 2

In part 2 of Embodying Empress, dancer and author, Alexandra Beller, and Blood Moon Radio host, Coraley Letcher, discuss the art, and responsibility, of teaching; creative practice as social critique, personal expression, and, and something that often evolves beyond its original intention; and what the stories we tell about ourselves and others mean within the container of the human experience. Alexandra reflects on her forthcoming book, The Anatomy of Art, and the difference between creating live performance art versus the static work of published writing. As if on cue, The Empress card was pulled during the episode's reading —reflecting the season, the conversation, and Alexandra herself. This episode explores: ✧ why we do the work we do — and whether we are in the right work ✧ community and our roles within it ✧ creative practice: intention, execution, and outcome ✧ finding your voice, and accepting that not everyone will resonate with it ✧ storytelling as both a useful tool and something to hold with care ✧ meaning making and lived experience This is the final special guest episode of season one. Our final episode will be a solo reflection tying together the themes and conversations explored throughout The Empress Rising. If you enjoy this episode, Taming Monster with author Jowita Bydlowska, is similar. Embodying Empress

Blood Moon Radio host Coraley Letcher is joined by dancer, choreographer, author, and educator Alexandra Beller for this two-part conversation exploring creativity, embodiment, meaning-making, and the intelligence of the body. Alexandra’s work lives at the intersection of movement, creative expression, and somatic awareness. Her upcoming book, The Anatomy of Art: Unlocking the Creative Process for Theatre and Dance — now available for preorder — expands on her years of teaching artists how to cultivate deeper awareness, trust themselves creatively, and reconnect with the why beneath their work. As the final special guest episode of Season One: The Empress Rising, this conversation beautifully embodies the archetype through themes of creativity, nurturing, sensuality, self-awareness, connection, and the power of embodied expression. This episode touches on: ✧ Modern Motherhood ✧ Finding Spirituality in Process, Place, and Self ✧ Embodied Awareness ✧ Systemic Harm ✧ Art as Connection ✧ Creativity as Meaning-Making If you enjoy this episode, tune in for Part Two of the conversation — and make sure to follow or subscribe so you don’t miss the closing episodes of Season One. Sentient Medicine

Somatic practitioner, psychedelic guide, and witch Leslie Draffin joins Coraley Letcher for a deeply grounded conversation on self-sovereignty, embodiment, and what it means to live in right relationship—with ourselves, each other, and the world around us. In this episode of Blood Moon Radio, we explore the connection between body awareness and healing, the role of the nervous system in reclaiming your voice, and how personal transformation intersects with the current social and political climate. Speaking from Texas, Leslie shares her perspective on what it means to stay present, aware, and engaged during times of uncertainty. This conversation moves through somatic healing, trauma, advocacy, animism, and the belief that nothing is separate, and that awareness itself can be a form of medicine. If you’ve been feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure where your voice fits in, this episode offers a grounded and expansive place to begin again. Show Highlights: Somatic healing and nervous system regulationSelf-sovereignty and embodimentPsychedelic integration and personal transformationReclaiming your voice and advocacyLiving in right relationship (animism & interconnectedness)Navigating uncertainty and staying presentWays to stay informed or support: Follow creators sharing firsthand experiences and consider supporting organizations doing human rights and equity work, such as the American Civil Liberties Union and the American Friends Service Committee.
