    Making strides: Women, running, and endurance sports

    In 1967, Kathrine Virginia Switzer became the first woman to run the Boston Marathon as an officially registered competitor, having entered under her initials to hide her name. During her run, the race manager tried to grab her bib number to remove her from official competition, but Switzer endured. Much has changed in women's running since then. Host Jane Kloeckner welcomes ultra-marathon runner Theresa Reyes-Cummings and trail runner Kim Olson to talk about women, running and endurance sports.     Protecting Tribal Lands: Environmental Justice for Native American Heritage Month

    Environmental lawyer Jane Kloeckner hosts this episode with Gina Myer in honor of Native American Heritage Month.
