If you missed the past 24 hours in crypto and stocks, here's your full recap: 🚨 Major Headlines & Market Moves 🚨 Bitcoin fell 3.4% over the past 24 hours, with about $550 million liquidated across 123,782 crypto traders. BlackRock ETF clients sold $207.67 million of Bitcoin. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs had still seen $118.8 million in inflows the prior session, wiping out Monday's outflows. Bitcoin available on exchanges fell to its lowest level in 7 months. Robinhood added $25 million of Bitcoin to its corporate balance sheet. Charles Schwab, which oversees $13 trillion, said 64% of millennials plan to buy Bitcoin and crypto. Russia's largest bank, Sberbank, was approved as a crypto custodian to launch Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT products. Wells Fargo is in talks with Kraken's parent company to provide crypto trading liquidity. The CFTC said it will deliver clear crypto rules with or without legislation from Congress. The U.S. Treasury is set to buy back up to $6 billion in longer-term debt. Fed minutes showed most officials still expect one more rate hike this year, but with little appetite for a rapid series of hikes. The 10-year yield sat near 5.33% and Brent was above $102, with futures lower after record highs. India hiked rates for the first time since 2023, a 25 basis point increase to 5.50%. China bought 740,000 ounces of gold worth $3.1 billion, its 23rd straight month of accumulation. It now holds about $323.5 billion in gold reserves. President Trump said more oil has passed through the Strait of Hormuz in the last 3 nights than ever before, and called the U.S. economy the greatest it has ever had. President Trump is set to award the National Medal of Science to Lisa Su of AMD, Elon Musk, Sergey Brin of Google and Jensen Huang of Nvidia. SpaceX is reportedly seeking about $40 billion in financing to fund large Nvidia chip purchases, including roughly $10 billion in bank loans and $30 billion in investment-grade debt. Applied Digital posted revenue of $341.9 million versus about $135 million expected, with roughly $36 billion in contracted revenue. FICO is cutting about 15% of its workforce as it pushes deeper into AI, and the stock fell about 4%. Webull crashed 20% after a U.S. House panel flagged its China ties as a national security risk. 📊 Altcoin Market Updates 📊 BlackRock ETF clients sold $201.89 million of Ethereum. Samsung is partnering with Solana to enable stablecoin transactions for 82 million devices in the U.S. through Samsung Wallet. Solana passed $1 billion in all-time stablecoin card volume. Bitwise ETF clients bought $10.55 million of XRP. The Wall Street Journal reported that Ripple is emerging as a major competitor to Wall Street banks. GSR committed $100 million to launch Hare, an onchain credit desk, with turtle.xyz. The vaults are backed by names including Aave, Paxos and Chainlink. Sui said it hit a 40 million transactions-per-second record in a live Basecamp attempt, and is working with Alibaba Cloud so AI agents can pay for cloud services in stablecoins. Near Protocol's website integrated Robinhood's chain. Hyperliquid's strategy company chief said Solana does many things well, like a Swiss army knife, while Hyperliquid is built specifically for trading financial assets onchain. Polymarket put a 56% chance on Bitcoin finishing the month above $90,000. - Bitcoin closed Q3 up 39.6%, ahead of gold, the S&P 500 and silver. October has finished green in 11 of the last 16 years. - Citi sees Bitcoin at $113,000 over the next year. The president of Coinbase Asset Management said Bitcoin could reach $300,000 by 2030, and the iTrustCapital CEO said more than half of clients have been buying Bitcoin since the $58,000 low. - SEC Chair Paul Atkins said crypto has grown from a niche curiosity into a multi-trillion-dollar asset class, and the SEC proposed a new custody framework for investment advisers and regulated funds. - Congress is considering rules that would let banks and credit unions hold digital assets and use blockchain. Illinois postponed a plan to tax crypto transactions whether or not they are profitable. EU regulators said they need more powers over crypto and questioned Binance over operations after an order to wind down. - Nike fell to a 10-year low after earnings. Revenue was $11.21 billion, short of estimates, while EPS of $0.48 beat. Greater China sales dropped more than 20%, and the company guided for a high-single-digit revenue decline in fiscal 2027. If you missed the past 24 hours in crypto and stocks, here's your full recap: 🚨 Major Headlines & Market Moves 🚨 Bitcoin held near $83,000 as higher U.S. yields and oil prices kept pressure on risk assets. The 30-year Treasury yield rose to its highest level since 2002, while the 10-year sat near 5.25%. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs posted 8 consecutive days of inflows. BlackRock ETF clients bought another $51.09 million of $BTC. Bitcoin is on pace for its second-strongest September on record. About 82% of Bitcoin addresses are now in profit, and the Bitcoin RSI bounced off its bottom, a setup that has often marked the start of a stronger move. Bitwise said pensions, endowments, foundations, and sovereign wealth funds bought Bitcoin during the last bear market, and that none of the institutions interviewed were selling. One sovereign wealth fund was selling gold reserves to fund Bitcoin purchases. $9.2 billion ETF provider HANetf launched the first euro-hedged Bitcoin exchange-traded commodity. Tom Lee said crypto has entered a bull market. Coinbase received CFTC approval to launch its own U.S. crypto derivatives clearinghouse. Robinhood launched crypto and stock perpetual futures trading for U.S. traders. Illinois released draft rules to tax crypto transactions regardless of profit or loss, starting in 2027. The White House blamed Democrats for failing to pass the Crypto Clarity Act. Cboe and S&P Dow Jones Indices are exploring tokenized options contracts. The People’s Bank of China injected 833.5 billion yuan ($131.79 billion) through overnight reverse repo operations. Australia hiked rates 25 bps to 4.60%, its fourth increase this year. The U.S. offered up to 40 million barrels from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. President Trump said oil prices will tumble. Iran said it will discuss the nuclear issue only after the Strait of Hormuz issue is resolved and Washington lifts the blockade. Iran’s rial collapsed to a new all-time low. Only 40.8% of S&P 500 stocks are above their 200-day moving average, the lowest since May 2025. Market breadth is getting thin. Semiconductors held up better than the broader market, with $AVGO up about 2.7% and $NVDA also green. $AMD agreed to acquire World Labs, founded by Fei-Fei Li, in an $8.2 billion all-stock deal focused on robotics and physical AI. $FICO had its worst day since 1989, falling about 27% after FHFA moved to put VantageScore on more equal footing in mortgage pricing. $MDB fell 18.5% after CEO CJ Desai resigned immediately to take a senior role at $META. Nscale is going public with $103 billion in signed future revenue, though only 25,000 of 461,000 GPUs are active today. $NVDA is its supplier, investor, backstop, and customer. OpenAI is targeting a $30 billion funding round at a $1.4 trillion valuation. It also canceled the planned GPT-6.1 Astra release after the model failed internal safety and alignment checks. Carnival posted record results, with revenue of $8.44 billion and 2027 occupancy and pricing already at record levels. CarMax beat estimates with revenue of $7.88 billion and adjusted EPS of $1.16. Summit Therapeutics surged after AstraZeneca agreed to invest $2 billion and take roughly a 12% stake. Jim Cramer said a bond short squeeze could occur. President Trump said a new Super Intelligence Czar will be named soon. About $193 million in long positions were liquidated across crypto in 24 hours. 📊 Altcoin Market Updates 📊 Avalanche led all chains in 30-day RWA market-cap growth with +$266 million, more than the next two chains combined. It also saw $131.2 million in tokenized stock inflows over seven days, more than all other chains combined, led by Securitize. Brazil’s CSD BR partnered with Ripple to mirror securities ownership records on the $XRP Ledger, starting with BTG Pactual fund shares. Binance Pay launched $USDT payments at millions of PayPay-supported locations across Japan. Bitwise’s spot $NEAR ETF went live on the NYSE. $ETH flipped $BTC for the highest open interest on Hyperliquid.
