Sweating with 5K strangers | Kenny Santucci on Training Jon Bon Jovi, The Challenge & a Torn Bicep

I lay it all out with Kenny Santucci, the guy your trainer's trainer calls, who spent three years training Jon Bon Jovi and built out his home gym. We get into the bicep that came off the bone mid workout, calling his own doctor at 10pm, and why his Canadian friend is flying to America to pay out of pocket instead of waiting 16 weeks to be seen. He breaks down why gym owners keep fighting over the same six people, how gyms keep raising prices while trainers get paid a flat hourly rate, and Strong New York, his 5,000 person fitness party with saunas, cold plunges and a whole street shut down. There's also the open casting call that put him on The Challenge at 20 years old, lunch at Johnny Bananas' house, and how the MTV guys ended up in Buffalo asking me where to eat. Then it turns into my first Hinge date and the man who unpacked gum, drugs, and a vape onto the table, why sex is easy and connection is hard, and a death row meal that is somehow a 20 piece McNugget. Is sugardaddy.com still a THING?? | Zach Zucker Swears He's NOT a Comedian

I'm hanging out with Zach Zucker, the clown school trained performer who swears he's not a comedian, to talk feet pics at the Edinburgh Fringe, sugar daddy sites, and why he thinks he's funnier than every comic doing crowd work in jeans and a t-shirt. We get into the crowd work epidemic, why comedy clubs feel predatorial, getting fired by his agents in 2021, and how playing the internet game blew up a career he'd already spent a decade building overseas. Zach breaks down 10 years of Stamptown, his absurdist variety show turned Netflix special dropping the same day this episode does, August 25th. Chapters 00:11 – Zach Zucker in the building, why comedy is a curse he can't quit, and roasting the standup comedy crowd work epidemic 02:22 – Not identifying as a comedian after French clown school, why comedy clubs feel predatorial, and only ever going on stage in costume 03:49 – The sugar daddy dot com college phase, the $200 feet pic at Edinburgh Fringe, and the pasta bathtub offer he'd do for way less 05:58 – Standup character not standup, building a cult following with his partner Vigo from Norway, and getting fired by his agents in 2021 07:31 – Two years of being deeply unfunny at clown school and why it's every Jewish parent's nightmare 08:26 – Why the digital side feels like a slot machine on your brain, handing social off to a team, and refusing to be a five types of coffee creator 11:04 – Opening for David Cross, calling Sam Campbell the best working artist, and drawing inspiration from musicians and painters over comics 14:24 – Strategically nomadic out of Echo Park, the Gotham LA studio plan three years out, and both being beach people who hate the cold 16:01 – Reverse engineering fame overseas before America, wanting out of the country at all times, and dodging the Berlin sex club scene 19:42 – Ten years at the Edinburgh Fringe, the world's third biggest ticketed event, and cursing out the Scottish landlords 21:14 – The Isle of Skye dinosaur bones and treeless highlands, scurvy season on Scottish festival food, and why Kevin Hart is somehow always ripped 24:56 – Starting Stamptown in 2016, turning down bad deals waiting for better, and both being college dropouts who chose money over class 27:46 – Being told he's not brand safe, the audio and suitcase companies he'd actually rep, and being a proud billboard of collaboration 31:48 – The Baha Men having 19 members 35:00 – Never dreaming he'd run a circus production company, begging people to watch the Stamptown special so Netflix greenlights more Come on the pod, sponsor an episode, collab, or just reach out  ▫️ https://linktr.ee/maditellsall Follow my world outside the podcast (food, tailgates, health, behind-the-scenes life) ▫️ https://linktr.ee/madelinehall.nyc Thanks for being here guys. I'm taking you through a week that somehow had finance bros, a $1,000 happy hour tab, the Knicks playoffs, and me pouring shots on top of a bar for the American Whiskey rebrand. I also went on set for an NBC show with Kelsey Grammer, who apparently fell in love twice in Buffalo, ended up at a 35-person private premiere for Nina Dobrev's new movie with Andrew Garfield in the room, and got into the chaos of being late to my own recording because World Cup traffic tripled the city overnight. My Best Friend Hijacks The Pod | Lauren B. on College Chaos, Creator Confessions & Buffalo Nights

I'm reuniting with one of my college besties, Lauren B., who pulled up to the studio with her own list of questions and flipped the whole interview on me, Call Her Daddy style, one plead the fifth allowed. We're rehashing the Buff State era, $1.50 drink nights at Coles, $22 UV Blue fishbowls, a fake ID saved by a hand drawn mole, the wine t**s Halloween costume that racked up $950 in bar crawl winnings, and 17 people packed into a minivan for a Bills game. These days Lauren's doing nonprofit work with foster kids and marketing consulting, her husband fully converted to Bills Mafia, and we trade the trial reels and tagging tricks every new content creator should be stealing. Chapters 00:15 – Lauren the college best friend, meeting Madi through James Webb next door, and the study abroad she rushed a sorority right before 03:09 – Madi taking Lauren to her first Bills game in the dying minivan, dumping a wing basket down the borrowed white jersey at O'Neill's 07:31 – Getting the whole family high on a two gram blunt camping in Allegany, and Dad's meat and cheese burrito camp trick 10:56 – Six years of the wine t**s costume, Dollar Tree bras full of red and white, pouring free drinks and cleaning up on Chippewa bar crawls 14:52 – The butch rugby player fake ID with a drawn on mole, the JP's binder of borrowed IDs, and dollar wings at Bullies 16:30 – Why the sorority pulled Madi out of her shell, Buff State parties busting at 100 people while Dayton has permanent beer pong tables 18:35 – Wanting real PDA after two long distance relationships, drunk workout runs home from Coles, and Lauren passing out on the porch every time 22:08 – Reading back the journals she's kept since 14, the basement flood that ruined one, and Lauren flipping the mic to interview Madi 29:03 – Madi's favorite thing about Buffalo being community, the Brooklyn bar that went Bills and jumped sales 36 percent, and trial reels advice 33:39 – The Barbizon modeling scam that only taught which fork to use, three years of free marketing, and the clothing line that funded meals during COVID 40:22 – The 6am you sucked your way to the top DM, Papa Hall hunting the guy down on LinkedIn, and Lainey messaging his mom and wife 43:22 – Hooking up with a Sabres star at Coles with no clue who he was, why Madi won't date football players, and the bathtub pasta DM 45:07 – The big nose theory, the size 14 feet letdown, and swearing off spontaneous hookups because she needs real attraction 47:20 – Chelsea Handler and Will Ferrell as dream guests, learning to clap back on the mic, and getting told she talks a lot on her own podcast 50:30 – Never moving back but keeping Buffalo ties, Buffalo Foodslut hitting 14k after the rebrand, and businesses taking her more seriously post New York 1:04:20 – The Elmwood hippie houses gentrified into condos, scaring the 24 hour pizza guy into a tomato sauce disaster, and the Scotland trip that ended her engagement Come on the pod, sponsor an episode, collab, or just reach out  ▫️ https://linktr.ee/maditellsall Follow my world outside the podcast (food, tailgates, health, behind-the-scenes life) ▫️ https://linktr.ee/madelinehall.nyc Thanks for being here guys.
