S2-E110 | The Story of Us | The Last Episode

It has been quite a journey — at times exciting, challenging, and certainly unexpected. And today, we have arrived at the end. This is the very last episode of the Everyday Eurasia Podcast. Looking back over the past year, it almost feels unreal to think about everything that happened. There were ideas, plans, meetings, deadlines, and of course, plenty of obstacles along the way. How do you schedule conversations with people thousands of miles away? How do you keep a production moving when your team is spread across the Netherlands, Croatia, Wales, Switzerland, and Portugal? And how do you somehow get everything together and ready on time? All of these things became part of a very unique — and at times challenging — journey. But in the end, it wasn't just the production that made this podcast special. It was the stories of the people we had the privilege of meeting. Stories of faith, hope, struggle, loss, calling, and God's faithfulness. Stories we initially set out to tell to others, but that ended up deeply impacting us as well. Some conversations stayed with us long after the recording stopped. Some stories challenged our faith. Others encouraged us. And many reminded us once again of the ways God works through people, through their stories, and sometimes right in the middle of difficult circumstances. So, for this final episode, we are turning the microphone around. I’m sitting down with Michelle Lynam, Eurasia Communications Coordinator, Kristin Burchfiel, Podcast Administrator, and myself, Bryan Koopmans, Podcast Producer. Together, we look back on the journey — the challenges, the stories that stayed with us, what we learned, and the impact this podcast ultimately had on us. And while the Everyday Eurasia Podcast is coming to an end, there are new projects on the horizon, and we hope to take you along for those as well. So today, we say goodbye to the Everyday Eurasia Podcast — with deep gratitude for everyone who listened, and for everyone who trusted us with their story. Welcome to the very last episode of the Everyday Eurasia Podcast. S2-E109 | The Story of Us | Bryan Koopmans

After a year, the Everyday Eurasia Podcast is coming to an end. We, the team behind the podcast—Kristin Burchfiel and Michelle Lynam on the editorial team, Chad Gibbons as our theological sounding board, and myself, Bryan Koopmans, as the producer—are incredibly grateful for all the stories, testimonies, reflections, and conversations we’ve been able to share with you over the past year. Across two seasons, we’ve spent around 28 hours listening to stories of what God is doing across the Eurasia Region. What started as a podcast has grown into a huge collection of stories, testimonies, reflections, and information. And now, as we come to the end of Everyday Eurasia, we want to finish where it all began: with the people behind the podcast. This week, you’ll hear devotionals from the makers of Everyday Eurasia. We’ll share a little bit about our own stories, our everyday lives, and what this journey has meant to us. So, let’s begin this final week together. Today, you’ll hear from Bryan Koopmans. Bryan has been volunteering with the Eurasia Region since July 2024, and from this year he has been serving as a missionary with the Eurasia Region, working with the Communications Team and the Central Europe Field in Croatia. He grew up in Vlaardingen, the Netherlands, and joined the Church of the Nazarene in 2015. With more than 15 years of experience in radio and television broadcasting, Bryan brings his passion and communication skills to the mission field. As the podcast manager, Bryan has been one of the team members behind the Everyday Eurasia Podcast. The holiness tradition is also deeply important to Bryan. It has been part of his family’s faith and history for more than 100 years. Today, Bryan will share with us about “The Story of Place.” Everyday Eurasia | Inspiring faith for everyday Website: eurasiaregion.org Facebook: facebook.com/eurasiaregion Instagram: instagram.com/eurasiaregion Eurasia Podcast Team E-Mail: podcasts@eurasiaregion.org ©️Eurasia Region 2026
