    Stunt Rock (1978): Aussie Double Feature Part One

    Stunt Rock (1978), where dangerous stunts meet a metal band/magic act. Aussie director Brian Trenchard-Smith turned his brilliant ideainto an outrageously entertaining flick and the perfect showcase for legendary stuntman Grant Page.     Judex (1963), The First Movie Superhero

    Our second random pick from Michael Weldon’s Psychotronic Encyclopedia of Film is Judex (1963), director Georges Franju’s (Eyes Without aFace) bizarre and exciting remake of the classic silent serial. This vigilante character is the first caped crusader of the silver screen and the start of the long road that led to Batman and our current superhero-obsessed culture.
