What Happens After Death? Prayer, Scripture, and a Reading

Click here to talk to us Prayer Precious Blood and Word of God, You are my eternal salvation. Lost in sin, You liberated me. You lifted me from perdition. Treasuring my feeble soul, You excused my constant frailties. Forever, I am indebted to You. Your cost can never be repaid, For You bought my freedom with Blood. I will always seek You out my Lord, You are my beloved Deliverer! You are the Lamb of God! Welcome  Today’s episode is about life after death. Scripture  Matthew 25:46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life. Reading  “Hell is eternal. The duration of misery there will be eternal, never ending. God’s Holy Word expressly declares, “These shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal” (Mat 25:46). The punishment of the one and the happiness of the other will be of eternal duration-both will be “everlasting”. In Revelation 14:11 we read, “The smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever.” They will “suffer the vengeance of eternal fire” (Jude 7). The righteous will perpetually rejoice in the glory of heaven while the wicked will perpetually sink under the load of their woe. The terribleness and awfulness of hell is proven by the fact that the everlasting fire into which the wicked will depart is “prepared for the devil and his angels.” Being “prepared for the devil and his angels,” how intolerable it will be! How dreadful must that place be! That this “everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels” produces the most awful sufferings is clear from Revelation 20:10, where we are told that Satan shall be “tormented day and night for ever and ever.”” The Eternal Destiny of the Unsaved by I.C. Heredeenhttps://www.chapellibrary.org/read/edot  We have had a lot of funerals in the past month at my church, and a common theme in the message portion of these funerals is where we go when we die. There are really only two options, heaven or hell. I don’t think everyone knows the gravity of the situation well enough to realize that they need to make the choice to follow Jesus today. "Opposites" Prayer, Scripture, and a Reading

Click here to talk to us Welcome Today’s episode is about opposites. Scripture Psalm 23 Reading by AW Pink In the great expanse of eternity, which stretches behind Genesis 1:1, the universe was unborn and creation existed only in the mind of the great Creator. In His sovereign majesty God dwelt all alone. We refer to that far distant period before the heavens and the earth were created. There were then no angels to hymn God's praises, no creatures to occupy His notice, no rebels to be brought into subjection. The great God was all alone amid the awful silence of His own vast universe. But even at that time, if time it could be called, God was sovereign. He might create or not create according to His own good pleasure . He might create this way or that way; He might create one world or one million worlds, and who was there to resist His will? He might call into existence a million different creatures and place them on absolute equality , endowing them with the same faculties and placing them in the same environment; or, He might create a million creatures each differing from the others, and possessing nothing in common save their creaturehood, and who was there to challenge His right? If He so pleased, He might call into existence a world so immense that its dimensions were utterly beyond finite computation; and were He so disposed, He might create an organism so small that nothing but the most powerful microscope could reveal its existence to human eyes. It was His sovereign right to create, on the one hand, the exalted seraphim to burn around His throne, and on the other hand, the tiny insect which dies the same hour that it is born. If the mighty God chose to have one vast gradation in His universe, from loftiest seraph to creeping reptile, from revolving worlds to floating atoms, from macrocosm to microcosm, instead of making everything uniform , who was there to question His sovereign pleasure?  Support the show
