    When Life Requires Something Different From You Sometimes life suddenly asks more of us than we expected. A quick trip becomes an unexpected week. A moment turns into responsibility. And uncertainty unfolds in ways we could not have planned for ahead of time. In this episode, I’m sharing a recent experience caring for my elderly parents after multiple unexpected emergencies happened within days of each other — and what that season revealed about steadiness, presence, responsibility, and trusting God in real time.     I Stopped Living Ahead Of My Life I have noticed over time, that many women, myself included, often move through life mentally staying ahead of what might happen next. We anticipate. We overthink. We carry tomorrow before it arrives. And somewhere along the way, we stop fully experiencing the life we’re actually living. That realization became very real to me during a recent overseas trip. Somewhere between travel plans, family dynamics, uncertainty, unexpected moments… and even lost luggage somewhere between New York and Paris… I noticed something had quietly changed within me. I was no longer mentally rushing ahead trying to manage every possible outcome. Instead, I was fully living inside the moment I had been given. In this episode, I’m sharing some of the quiet moments from that trip and the deeper realization underneath them — including what it looks like to stay connected to yourself-with-God in real time, why peace often comes when we stop carrying things that were never ours to hold, and how life begins to feel different when we stop mentally living ahead of it.     What Happens When the World Changes and God Doesn't? In this episode, I share a meaningful conversation I recently had with my parents. My Dad is 90 and  my mom is 87 years old. As we talked they reflected on how much the world has changed during their lifetime and one question quietly settled into my heart: What happens when the world changes…and God doesn’t? Many of us feel the shifting atmosphere around us right now. Cultural changes, uncertainty, and constant commentary can make it easy for fear to step in and begin interpreting the moment. But facts and truth are not always the same thing. Facts describe what is happening around us. Truth comes from the unchanging character of God. In this episode, we explore how to recognize when fear is interpreting our circumstances and how to anchor ourselves again in the steadiness of who God is. Because when everything around us shifts…God remains the same. And that truth changes how we live, how we respond, and how we model faith for the generations coming after us. For many of us, that phrase can sound like something dramatic — a big moment of clarity or a sudden life change. But in my experience, alignment with God rarely begins that way. More often, it begins quietly…through small moments of obedience we might otherwise overlook. In this episode, I share a story from my own life that began with a simple step of faith—opening my home for a small gathering of worship. What seemed like a small decision at the time became the beginning of something much deeper. It was in those quiet moments of worship that I began noticing something new: gentle promptings, small impressions, and the growing awareness that God was far more present in my everyday life than I had previously realized. Over time, I discovered that alignment with God doesn’t begin with certainty. It begins with courage — the courage to respond to the small ways He may be guiding us.
