Living Deeply with Markieta Carter

Markieta Carter

The Living Deeply Podcast with Markieta Carter is about what it means to live authentically, feel deeply, and choose yourself in a world that often encourages us to shrink, conform, forgive before we’re ready, or prioritize everyone else’s comfort. Through personal stories, honest reflections, and real-life lessons, Markieta explores relationships, boundaries, grief, healing, emotional sensitivity, LGBTQ+ life, humanism, family, self-love, identity, personal growth, and the complicated experiences that shape who we become. This isn’t a podcast about pretending life is perfect. It’s about having the deeper conversations—the ones about walking away, trusting your intuition, protecting your peace, navigating loss, redefining relationships, challenging beliefs, setting boundaries, and creating a life that actually feels like your own. Some episodes are reflective. Some are educational. Some are deeply personal. All of them are rooted in one idea: you deserve the freedom to live your life deeply and authentically.  Listen to more episodes: https://www.livingdeeplypodcast.com Connect with Markieta, explore services, and learn more: https://www.itsmarkieta.com Join the Thriven Humans community for connection, community, and upcoming events: https://www.thrivenhumans.org

Why Going Back to School After Dropping Out Was One of the Best Decisions I Ever Made

Why Going Back to School After Dropping Out Was One of the Best Decisions I Ever Made I dropped out of college at 19, but that wasn't the end of my story. It was only the beginning. Ten years later, I completed my degree and eventually went on to earn my Master of Jurisprudence in Labor and Employment Law from Tulane University. In this episode of the Living Deeply Podcast, I share why returning to school was one of the best decisions I've ever made, even when someone close to me discouraged me from pursuing my education. I discuss the power of believing in yourself, refusing to let someone else's doubts become your limitations, and recognizing that your life doesn't have to follow society's timeline. Returning to school didn't just change my career opportunities. It expanded my thinking, strengthened my independence, challenged beliefs I'd inherited, and helped shape the woman I am today. This episode is a reminder that it's never too late to begin again, invest in yourself, or pursue a dream you once put aside. Your past is part of your story, but it doesn't get to write your future. 🎙️ Listen to more episodes: https://livingdeeplypodcast.com 💜 Explore my women's coaching and professional services: https://itsmarkieta.com 🌈 Join Thriven Humans, my LGBTQ+ affirmative women's community: https://thrivenhumans.org If this episode resonates with you, share it with another woman who needs encouragement to trust herself and keep pursuing her goals. #LivingDeeplyPodcast #WithMarkieta #WomenWhoThrive #PersonalGrowth #GoingBackToSchool #WomenEmpowerment #SelfTrust #NeverTooLate #HigherEducation #WomenSupportingWomen #LifeTransitions #BelieveInYourself
