How to Calm Your Nervous System Before You Burn Out - 71

Fan mail? Drop it here. 💪🙏🤩 Do you feel like you’re constantly “on”—even when you finally have a moment to yourself? Maybe you have free time, but instead of relaxing, your brain keeps racing and your body never quite seems to come down from the day. In this episode, we’re talking about the connection between burnout, nervous system regulation, and emotional awareness and, more importantly, some simple ways to interrupt the cycle of chronic stress before it becomes burnout. We’ll explore why your emotions can serve as an early warning system, how suppressing emotions can actually make them harder to manage, and a simple practice for creating a pause between what happens to you and how you respond. I’ll also share practical “micro-practices” you can use throughout your day, including intentional breathing, creating buffers between meetings, building in a daily non-negotiable pause, and simple grounding techniques. The goal isn't to eliminate stress or completely restructure your life. It's about learning how to interrupt chronic stress, give your nervous system opportunities to reset, and reconnect with yourself before you reach the point of exhaustion. Because burnout prevention doesn't always require a dramatic life change. Sometimes it starts with something as simple as creating a little more space between the stimulus and the response. Burnt Out or Just Busy? Sneaky signs you're probably burnt out - 70

Fan mail? Drop it here. 💪🙏🤩 How do you know if you’re actually burned out—or if you’re just struggling to keep up with a busy life? In this listener Q&A, we take a closer look at what burnout really looks like, especially for high-performing professionals who are used to carrying a lot and pushing through. Burnout isn't always obvious. It can look like emotional exhaustion, irritability, cynicism, brain fog, indecision, withdrawing from the things you normally enjoy, or losing your sense of motivation and meaning. And because many of these symptoms can overlap with depression and other mental health conditions, it’s important to understand what you're experiencing and seek professional support when needed. We also explore why simply taking a vacation or a few days off doesn't always solve the problem. When your nervous system has been operating in a chronic state of stress, it can be difficult to truly switch off—even when you're technically "resting." In this episode, I break down the four pillars I use when thinking about burnout recovery and prevention: • Nervous system regulation • Time and energy boundaries • Emotional awareness • Meaning and alignment If you've been telling yourself, "I'm just tired," while simultaneously wondering why you can't seem to recover, this conversation is for you. And this is just the beginning of our month-long conversation about burnout. We'll be diving deeper into boundaries, nervous system resets, productivity guilt, motivation, and what to do when you're burned out but can't simply walk away from your responsibilities. This episode is for educational purposes only and is not medical advice. If you're concerned about burnout, depression, or another mental health condition, consider talking with a qualified healthcare professional. How to Know When It's Time to Leave/Quit? - 69

Fan mail? Drop it here. 💪🙏🤩 How do we know when it’s time to let go of a goal, leave a job, or walk away from a relationship? Are we experiencing normal resistance—or is something genuinely no longer right for us? In this episode, we explore what happens when we’ve been pursuing something for a long time but aren’t sure whether to keep going. We talk about the importance of pausing to ask whether we still want what we originally set out to achieve—and whether our “why” is compelling enough to keep experimenting, failing, and trying again. We also dig into the question of leaving a job or relationship, and why changing our circumstances doesn’t necessarily change how we feel. Wherever we go, there we are. The patterns, beliefs, perfectionism, and boundary struggles we bring with us can follow us into the next chapter. So before we decide it’s time to leave, we can tend our own garden, do the work within our control, and then ask ourselves: Is this the yin and yang I want to sign up for? Sometimes the answer is yes. Sometimes it’s no. And sometimes letting go isn’t failure—it’s simply recognizing that we’ve changed. Why You Don't Have to Know How Yet - 68

Fan mail? Drop it here. 💪🙏🤩 We put so much pressure on ourselves to know exactly how we're going to get where we want to go. We want the plan, the timeline, the answers, and some guarantee that we're making the right decision. But what if that's not actually your job? In this episode, I talk about why you don't have to know how you're going to accomplish the goal yet. You just need to know what you're working toward, identify the next right step, and be willing to keep showing up long enough to figure out what works. Because the path isn't something you always discover before you begin. Sometimes you discover it by moving. We'll talk about experimentation, learning from what doesn't work, and the importance of having your own back when you don't have all the answers. You don't need to know that every step will work. You need to trust that if it doesn't, you'll learn something, adjust, and take the next step. You don't need the whole plan. You need the next right step—and the willingness to keep showing up for yourself as you figure out the rest. The Harvest You Haven't Noticed - 67

Fan mail? Drop it here. 💪🙏🤩 As we wrap up our July Approval Detox, it's time to ask a different question. What if healing isn't about doing more? What if it's about learning to receive? In this episode, we explore the ancient harvest festival of Lughnasadh (Lammas) and the timeless wisdom it offers for modern women who are tired of proving their worth through achievement, people-pleasing, and constant productivity. Together, we'll explore why receiving can feel so uncomfortable, how approval-seeking keeps us from recognizing our own growth, and why pausing to acknowledge our personal harvest may be one of the most healing things we can do. This episode also serves as a bridge into August's new podcast series on Self-Leadership, where we'll move beyond insight and begin exploring what it means to become a woman who trusts herself enough to follow through. In this episode you'll discover: Why high achievers often struggle to receiveThe connection between approval-seeking and chronic strivingThe symbolism behind the Lughnasadh/Lammas harvest festivalHow to recognize your own personal harvestWhy receiving is an act of self-trustA preview of the upcoming Art of Receiving: A Harvest Ritual Inspired by Lughnasadh🌾 Join me live this Saturday for The Art of Receiving Harvest Ritual. Together we'll reflect, meditate, journal, and celebrate the season of harvest through a beautiful guided ritual. Full Moon Meditation: Releasing the Fear of Disappointing People - 66

Fan mail? Drop it here. 💪🙏🤩 🌕 Full Moon Meditation: Releasing the Fear of Disappointing People  As we close our July Approval Detox, this guided full moon meditation invites you to lay down one of the heaviest burdens so many of us carry: the fear of disappointing others.  Together, we'll explore where this fear began, how it has shaped our relationships and choices, and what becomes possible when we stop abandoning ourselves to keep everyone else comfortable. Through breath, visualization, reflection, and gentle affirmations, you'll be invited to release old expectations, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and remember that your worth has never depended on how well you manage other people's emotions.  This isn't about becoming selfish or uncaring. It's about learning that love and boundaries can coexist—and that the one person you can no longer afford to disappoint is yourself.  Take a deep breath, find a quiet space, and allow yourself to come home.  Support the show Welcome to Lady(ish)—the podcast where real talk meets whole-self transformation. The Difference Between Being Liked and Being Known - 65

Fan mail? Drop it here. 💪🙏🤩 What if the version of you that everyone likes… isn't actually the real you? In this episode, we're exploring the subtle but profound difference between being liked and being authentically known. So many of us have learned to earn approval by becoming agreeable, capable, accommodating, or "easy" to love. But what happens when the mask that keeps us accepted also keeps us disconnected from ourselves? We'll unpack the hidden cost of people-pleasing, why self-abandonment often masquerades as kindness, and how childhood conditioning, attachment patterns, and nervous system responses shape our need for approval. Most importantly, we'll talk about what it means to stop performing and start allowing yourself to be seen. If you've ever wondered whether people love you or just the version of you that never disappoints them, this conversation is for you. This episode is part of our Approval Detox designed to help you reclaim the parts of yourself you've sacrificed in exchange for belonging. When Being the Good Girl Stops Working - 64

Fan mail? Drop it here. 💪🙏🤩 You've done everything "right." You've been responsible, dependable, successful, and the person everyone can count on. From the outside, your life may even look exactly the way you once imagined it would. So why does something still feel...off? In this episode, we're exploring what happens when the "good girl" strategies that once helped you succeed begin keeping you disconnected from yourself. We'll talk about the difference between growth discomfort and misalignment, why high-achieving women often mistake burnout for a sign to simply work harder, and how living according to everyone else's expectations can quietly pull you away from your own values. I also share some of my own journey—from pursuing leadership roles that looked successful but didn't feel aligned, to navigating family expectations, to the surprising lessons I've learned about authenticity through getting tattoos. Together, we'll explore how self-abandonment happens gradually and why that persistent feeling that "something isn't right" may actually be your intuition inviting you back to yourself. If you've ever wondered why success still feels unsatisfying or why you're exhausted from trying to be everything for everyone, this episode is for you. Inside my premium podcast, Becoming Her, we're continuing this conversation through The Self-Abandonment Recovery Project—a guided journey designed to help you stop outsourcing your worth and begin rebuilding self-trust through coaching, reflection exercises, and guided meditations.
