Niyi Adesanya, the performance strategist behind boardrooms at Chevron, MTN, Etisalat and the Nigerian Stock Exchange, has coached over a thousand executives and spoken to three million people, and he says the poverty you are fighting as an adult was programmed into you as a child. In this conversation he shows how that programming works, how to overwrite it, and why the people who stay successful are the ones who understood one thing early: you can never be bigger than the quality of your relationships. In this episode you'll learn: - Why your money mindset was installed before age seven, and how to reprogram it - The red car theory, and why you cannot see the abundance you were never trained to notice - The MACE framework Niyi uses to grow executives and companies - Why systems, not people, build businesses that outlive their founder - Why you should not expect profit for the first five years - How Nokia, Kodak and Blockbuster died while doing nothing wrong - The one asset you can never outgrow: your relationships Chapters: 00:00 Intro 02:30 The teachability test 08:30 Why you were programmed to be poor 16:00 Reprogramming and the red car theory 18:00 The MACE framework 32:00 Systems build businesses, not people 45:00 Why you should not expect profit for 5 years 52:00 Nokia, Kodak and the benchmarking trap 1:07:00 What school gets wrong 1:17:00 You can never be bigger than your relationships Support the show

There Is No Good or Bad, Only Good For and Bad For || Masterminds Podcast EP103

Download Achieve By Petra – https://app.theachieveproject.com/PSL0001000 Get the Lynx Octave Speaker – https://lynx-electronics.com/ Download Orbra, the life design app – https://orbralifedesign.com/download Richie opens this one with a warning, and he means it. This is an uncomfortable conversation, because it asks you to question something you have always taken for granted: the idea that good and bad are fixed, universal things. In this solo episode of the Masterminds Podcast, Richie Mensah makes the case for a challenging idea: that there is no absolute good and no absolute bad, only good-for and bad-for. He argues that what societies call right and wrong is built on actions and consequences, and shifts across time, culture, and technology, using everyday examples from how we treat animals, to how new technology quietly rewrites what we consider acceptable, to how the traits society praises in men and women keep changing. This is a thought experiment designed to challenge how you judge the world. As always, sit with it, push back on it, and reach your own conclusions. Where it lands is practical and humane. First, be slow to judge, because the person you are judging almost certainly believes they are doing the right thing from where they stand. And second, protect yourself, because understanding that morality is relative does not mean accepting bad treatment. It means making sure anything that is bad for you faces clear consequences in your life. A note in the spirit of the show: this episode is a philosophical argument meant to provoke reflection, not a statement of fact or a set of instructions. Think it through for yourself. In this episode, you'll learn: - The core idea: there is no good or bad, only good-for and bad-for - Why good and bad are built on actions and their consequences, not on fixed universal rules - How the same event can be a blessing to one person and a tragedy to another - How our treatment of animals exposes the gap in how we judge ourselves versus others - How new technology quietly changes what society considers moral, from horses to cars to electric vehicles to AI - Why the traits society praises in men and women keep shifting over time - Why you should be slow to judge others, since everyone believes they are the good guy - Why relative morality does not mean tolerating bad treatment, and how to make bad behaviour face consequences Support the show

Cry a River, Build a Bridge, Get Over It: Hayet Rida || Masterminds Podcast EP102

Download Achieve By Petra – https://app.theachieveproject.com/PSL0001000 Get the Lynx Octave Speaker – https://lynx-electronics.com/ Download Orbra, the life design app – https://orbralifedesign.com/download An aunt lifted an eight year old's shirt in front of the family and told her she looked pregnant. That one moment cost Hayet Rida her confidence for the next twenty years. What she built out of that is a masterclass in audacity. In this episode of the Masterminds Podcast, Richie Mensah sits down with Hayet Rida, a Ghanaian creative entrepreneur, brand builder and one of the first African voices to make radical vulnerability a strength online. Hayet talks about growing up big in Ghana and the culture of jokes that leaves scars, how she turned her honesty into a personal brand before vulnerability was a trend, and the failures that shaped every business she has built since, from the candle line that was too nice to burn to the jewellery brand born out of a bankrupt deal. She speaks with rare openness about grief and loss, and how she learned to carry sadness with her rather than wait for it to leave. Above all, this is a conversation about taking your life back and having the audacity to declare what you will become before anyone believes you. In this episode, you'll learn: - Why the jokes adults make about children's bodies leave scars that last decades, and how to protect the young ones around you - How Hayet turned radical honesty into a personal brand before vulnerability was ever a trend - Why she shares from the scar and not from the wound, and the difference it makes - Why her first product failing taught her more than a success would have - How she rebuilt a bankrupt deal into her own jewellery brand - How she learned to carry grief as a companion rather than wait for it to pass - Why your life belongs to you, and what changes the moment you truly accept that - Why you should take advice from the person who failed, not the one who succeeded - The audacity principle: declare what you will become, then go and become it Chapters 00:00 – Intro 03:24 – Growing Up in Ghana and the Comment That Changed Everything 07:01 – The Power of Words and Protecting Children 14:04 – Building a Personal Brand From Radical Honesty 17:05 – Share From the Scar, Not the Wound 19:35 – The Candle That Was Too Nice to Burn 24:05 – Redefining Your Relationship With Failure 27:20 – On Loss, and Learning to Live Again 31:57 – Grief as a Companion 40:12 – My Life Belongs to Me 47:20 – Stop Seeking Validation, Name the Emotion 51:26 – Take Advice From the One Who Failed 55:07 – The Audacity to Declare What You Will Become 57:16 – Everything Is Just Shapes: The Art Lesson 01:10:15 – The Bookmark Pivot 01:23:26 – Final Mindset: Cry a River, Build a Bridge, Get Over It Support the show

Those are the two most crowded corners of the entire industry, and most people never realise there are 14 different ways in. In this Masterminds Breakdown, Richie Mensah opens up the fashion industry and walks you through every stage a garment passes through before someone finally wears it. From fabric importing and retail, to trims and haberdashery, hand woven cloth, dyeing and printing, pattern making, sewing for other brands, running your own label, selling online, the second hand trade, machine sales and repair, fashion photography, and textile upcycling, each one is a real business. For every single way in, Richie tells you what the business is, how it makes money, and which of four types of person it suits: the one with nothing, the one with small savings, the one with a steady job, and the one with real money to invest. In this episode, you'll learn: - Why designing and sewing are the two most crowded ways into fashion, and where the space actually is - How fabric importing works, and why it suits someone with real capital - Why trims and haberdashery is a hidden business nobody thinks about - How pattern making needs almost no money, just skill - Why sewing for other brands is one of the most common businesses most people have never heard of - How to enter fashion with nothing but a phone and a small following - Why buying a bale of second hand clothing is a calculated gamble, and how it pays off - How fashion photography and content became a serious income stream - Why even textile waste can be turned into a real businessm Support the show

Painful Periods Are Not Normal: A Man's Fight for Women's Health || Archie Frimpong || Masterminds EP100

Download Achieve By Petra – https://app.theachieveproject.com/PSL0001000 Get the Lynx Octave Speaker – https://lynx-electronics.com/ Download Orbra, the life design app – https://orbralifedesign.com/download When Archie Frimpong's wife was diagnosed with PCOS and fibroids and told she might never conceive, he went looking for answers. What he learned along the way changed how he sees women's health entirely, and today he is one of the few men publicly advocating for it. In this episode of the Masterminds Podcast, Richie Mensah sits down with Archie Frimpong, co-founder of Stella Supplements, for a frank conversation about the health conditions so many women live with in silence, and the culture that teaches them to endure pain rather than question it. They talk about PCOS, endometriosis and fibroids, why so many women are told their pain is normal when it is not, why women's health is under-researched and too often dismissed, and why learning to advocate for yourself in front of a doctor matters so much. Above all, the message is simple: severe or disruptive pain is a signal worth taking seriously, and every woman deserves to be heard. Important: This conversation is for general awareness and education only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for a qualified healthcare professional. Nothing here should be used to self-diagnose or to start, stop, or replace any medical care. If you are experiencing symptoms, please see a licensed doctor, and always seek a second opinion if you feel unheard. In this episode, you'll learn: - Why "painful periods are normal" is a message worth questioning, and when pain is a signal to seek care - What PCOS, endometriosis, adenomyosis and fibroids are, in plain language - Why so many women feel dismissed in medical settings, and why a second opinion matters - How Archie and his wife navigated a difficult diagnosis and two pregnancies - Why women's health has historically been under-researched - How to walk into a doctor's appointment informed and ready to advocate for yourself - Why this is a conversation men need to be part of, not just women This is a subject where the details matter and the science keeps evolving, so treat this as a starting point for your own questions, not the final word. They Rewrote Africa Out of History. Here Is the Proof || Masterminds Podcast EP99

Download Achieve By Petra – https://app.theachieveproject.com/PSL0001000 Get the Lynx Octave Speaker – https://lynx-electronics.com/ Download Orbra, the life design app – https://orbralifedesign.com/download Close your eyes and picture the beginning of civilisation. Science, mathematics, medicine, architecture. If the picture in your mind is white marble and white faces, this episode is going to change how you see the whole story. In this solo episode of the Masterminds Podcast, Richie Mensah walks through five civilisations across five different eras and one thread that runs through all of them: the systematic erasure of Africa from the record. Starting from the well documented fact that our species began in Africa, he moves through the first Briton, ancient Greece and its debt to Egypt, the Africans who rose to power in Rome, the Moors who lit up Europe for nearly eight centuries, and the deliberate erasure of the African population of Argentina. This is not about anger. It is about remembering, and the sources are laid out so you can check every claim yourself. A note in the spirit of the show: some of this is settled history and some of it is argued by particular scholars. Where a claim is one interpretation rather than consensus, treat it that way, and do your own reading. In this episode, you'll learn: - Why the oldest Homo sapiens fossils, found in Morocco, place our origin in Africa - The DNA finding that Cheddar Man, the oldest Briton, had dark to black skin and blue eyes - What Herodotus, Diodorus Siculus and Plato said about Greek thinkers studying in Egypt - How the ancient model of Egypt civilising Greece was replaced, and the argument Martin Bernal made in Black Athena - The story of Septimius Severus, the African-born Roman emperor, and Pope Victor I - How the Moors ruled the Iberian Peninsula for nearly 800 years and brought universities, libraries and running water to Europe - How Arabic numerals, the decimal system and the astrolabe reached Europe through Africa - How Argentina went from one third African to under one percent, and how it was done Sources and further reading Human origins in Africa: the Jebel Irhoud fossils in Morocco, dated to around 300,000 years, published in Nature, 2017. Cheddar Man: UCL and the Natural History Museum, 2018, DNA analysis indicating dark to black skin pigmentation, dark curly hair and blue eyes. Greece and Egypt: Herodotus, Histories, Book II. Diodorus Siculus, Library of History, Book I. Martin Bernal, Black Athena, 1987, which argues the case for the Egyptian and Semitic roots of Greek civilisation. Note that Bernal's specific claims, including the proportion of Greek vocabulary traced to Egyptian and Semitic sources, are argued by him and contested by other scholars. Africans in Rome: Septimius Severus, Roman emperor from 193 AD, born in Leptis Magna in present day Libya. Pope Victor I, of African origin, late second century. The Moors: Tariq ibn Ziyad and the 711 AD crossing, the rule of the Iberian Peninsula through to 1492, the libraries and universities of Cordoba, and Abbas ibn Firnas and the early flight attempt. The expulsion of the Moriscos under Philip III from 1609. Afro-Argentines: the decline of the African-descended population of Argentina across the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, and its documentation in later censuses. Do not take my word for it. Then one confession, and the punishment that followed, cracked the whole thing open and sent her looking for God on her own terms. In this episode of the Masterminds Podcast, Richie Mensah sits down with Evelyn Warlson Annan, a spiritual teacher he first encountered on TikTok saying things most people are afraid to say out loud. She shares the story of how she left organised religion to seek God directly, what she believes she found, and the distinction at the heart of her whole message: the difference between believing something because you were told it, and knowing it because you have experienced it for yourself. This is a long, deep, and at times challenging conversation about awakening, awareness, and thinking for yourself. A note in the spirit of the show: the views in this episode are Evelyn's own, shared so you can engage with them and question your own thinking, not so you adopt them. As always, do your own reflection and reach your own conclusions. In this episode, you'll learn: - How a single confession and its punishment became the start of Evelyn's awakening - Why she decided to stop taking religion on other people's word and seek God for herself - The distinction she draws between believing something and knowing it through experience - Why she describes God as energy and awareness rather than a person or a figure - How she understands consciousness, creation, and the mind's role in shaping reality - Why she believes the most important relationship begins as an individual encounter, not a communal one - A simple morning practice she offers for becoming more aware of your own thoughts - Why she believes questioning everything is the beginning of real knowledge This is the first of a two part conversation. That is one business, and it is the most crowded, the hardest to profit from, and the one where you have the least control. In this Masterminds Breakdown, Richie Mensah opens up the entire poultry industry and shows you 14 different ways to make money in it, most of which have nothing to do with owning a single chicken. From hatcheries and feed milling to chick delivery, contract growing, egg trading, processing, ready made products, and even turning droppings into fertiliser, every part of the chain is a business someone can own. For each one, Richie tells you what the business actually is, how the money comes in, and exactly which of four types of person it suits: the one with nothing yet, the one with small savings, the one with a steady job looking for a side hustle, and the one with real money to invest. By the end, you will know precisely where you fit. In this episode, you'll learn: - Why the part everyone chases, raising birds for meat, is the most crowded and least profitable - How hatcheries make real money per chick, and why one power cut can wipe them out - Why feed milling is one of the most profitable positions in the whole chain - How contract growing lets you start with just a poultry house and no capital for birds - Why raising chicks for the first three weeks is the smartest low entry business in poultry - Why processing and cold storage is the weakest link in Africa, and why that is an opportunity - How ready made chicken products let you set your own price and margin - Why egg trading can be the lowest entry point of all - The best fit if you only have a little savings, and why Richie recommends it Support the show
