    60. The Kitty Bowl, London Fit Check & Referee Drama

Welcome to the Her Game Days Podcast! This week, Victoria and JoJo get into the Kitty Bowl, the Lions' loss to Carolina, and why "this one's on me" might be the worst thing a coach can say. Aaron Rodgers is doing what Aaron Rodgers does these days, in the bad way, and the Steelers are in turmoil. The Bills lost to the Patriots, and someone here is taking the L. Carlie Irsay-Gordon is on the Colts sideline, and that's her right. She owns the team. Also: why the backup QB room suddenly matters, CeeDee Lamb's 17-catch game, Simone Biles in the best team look of the season, where Hailee Steinfeld is on game days, a very weird week for referees, and the Falcons running around. ## Chapters - 00:00 Welcome back. 58. Pick Six: Josh Allen's Flu Game, The Tush Push & The Worst Teams Making Statements

Welcome to the Her Game Days Pod!  Victoria and JoJo sit down for this week's Pick Six. We talk about the Bills-Lions opener we were able to attend in the new stadium, so we give you our take from the stands: what we loved, what needs work, and why the chicken tenders deserve their own review. Then we get into Zach Ertz's return to the Eagles, a brutal week of quarterback injuries, the teams that aren't the worst anymore, Travis Kelce making history, and the broadcast graphic that put Deshaun Watson's allegations on screen. This week's Pick Six: Our top 6 favorite stories inside and around the NFL this week.  1. Josh Allen's flu game. Five total touchdowns while sick, more than eight teams scored combined. Plus our first impressions of the new Bills stadium. 2. Zach Ertz is back in Philadelphia. With Dallas Goedert out with a sprained MCL, the Eagles bring back a familiar face. Plus, why we think the complaints about the tush push are boring. 3. The injury report. Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams, Jaxson Dart, Malik Nabers, and a rough weekend for Baltimore. 4. Are the worst teams no longer the worst? The Titans, Jets, Raiders, Saints, Browns, and the Colts' record-losing streak. 5. Travis Kelce makes history. The most yards after the catch in NFL history, at any position. 6. The NFL puts allegations on the screen. Why this matters for women, and why we should be talking about it more. 55. Vanessa Giolitto: A Decade in Sports Media, Motherhood, and the One Metric That Matters

Vanessa Giolito has spent a decade in sports media at ESPN, Sports Illustrated, NBC Sports, Bleacher Report, and TikTok, and she started out clipping college hoops highlights for three hours a night. This week, she and Victoria get into the version nobody puts on LinkedIn: what a decade as the only woman in the room actually taught her, the layoff that turned out to be a blessing, the Friday of the NFL Draft when her water broke, and she filed the package anyway, and why she almost didn't hit post on her own business. She also hands over the one metric she'd give any creator with no analytics team and no time, plus the advice she gives every young woman trying to break into sports. 53. We're Officially Her Game Days + This Week's Pick Six

The Football Social Club | Episode released July 28, 2026 The Game has a new name — and it's ours. Victoria kicks off this episode with the official rebrand to Her Game Days, why it captures what this community has always been about, and her own origin story (a lost bet on a second date, a Detroit Lions jersey, and a friendship group that turned into a movement). Then it's straight into the Pick Six: the six biggest stories in the NFL this week, plus a rapid-fire round of everything else you need to know before Sunday. So no woman has to do game day alone — new fans, lifelong die-hards, and everyone in between, this one's for you. In This Episode [00:00] The Rebrand: Game Days Are For Her. The Game is now Her Game Days, the Football Social Club. What the new name means, why it matters for the next generation of women fans, and why this community was never about proving you belong in a "boys' club." [03:17] Victoria's Origin Story: How a lost bet on a second date turned into a lifelong Lions fandom, a group chat, and eventually this whole community — and why Her Game Days exists for the women who got into football through a guy and stayed for themselves. [05:15] Housekeeping: Substack + Fantasy Football We're live on Substack: hergamedays.substack.comAll socials are now @HerGameDaysSeason 2 of Living in a Fantasy, our fantasy football league, has its waitlist open now. Sign-up details drop once the season kicks off, with returning leaguers hearing from us no later than August 10th. Link in the description — share it with any woman in your life, new fan or die-hard.[06:44] Training Camp Diaries Victoria's in San Diego and headed to Rams training camp Monday — her first ever camp experience. She's got tickets to four different camps this summer and will report back next week. This Week's Pick Six 1. Justin Herbert & Madison Beer Are Engaged. The Chargers QB popped the question to the Grammy-nominated pop star. Both Pisces, birthdays five days apart, and — per Victoria — one of the more believable romances in the NFL/pop-star crossover universe (joining Olivia Culpo & Josh Allen, Taylor & Travis, and the now-ended Cardi B & Stefon Diggs). Herbert is signed through a five-year, $262.5M extension; his 2026 salary of $24M is fully guaranteed. 2. Jalen Carter Is Now the Highest-Paid Defensive Tackle Ever. A four-year, $152M extension (worth up to $160M, $106M guaranteed) makes Carter the highest-paid DT in NFL history at $38M/year. Victoria also revisits a difficult chapter from his time at Georgia, a fatal car crash involving a teammate and a staffer following the team's national title celebration, and the toll it's taken on him since. 3. Vita Vea Wants Out of Tampa: The Bucs DT requested a trade after extension talks fell through, he's in the final year of his deal with no guaranteed money left. He wants a West Coast team, ideally the Raiders, to be closer to home. Victoria breaks down why the guaranteed-money conversation is basically a relationship metaphor (you'll have to listen). 4. Daniel Jones Is Fully Cleared and Ready for Camp. The Colts QB confirms he's recovered from the torn Achilles that ended his breakout 2025 season, the one that turned him from a Giants cautionary tale into the guy who beat out Anthony Richardson and signed the largest two-year contract in NFL history ($88M, up to $100M). 5. Kyle Shanahan Comes Forward After His Car Crash: The 49ers head coach was seriously injured in a mid-July collision, with a broken nose, three ribs, a broken hand, 40 stitches, and a severe concussion. Initially reported as the other driver's fault, Shanahan corrected the record himself this week, taking responsibility for the crash. 6. Eric Bieniemy's Family Situation: A developing and difficult story out of Kansas City: the Chiefs OC's wife was shot by their son and is now in stable condition following surgery. Bieniemy has stepped away from camp to be with his family. Sending good energy to Eric and Mia. Together, they explore the stories behind the game: careers, relationships, travel, ambition, traditions, and the people who make football worth gathering around. Pick Six is the Her Game Days weekly roundup of the six biggest conversations happening across the NFL. Every Wednesday, Victoria breaks down the six most interesting, entertaining, surprising, or talked-about stories—from breaking news and standout performances to internet moments, pop culture, relationship headlines, fashion, and everything in between. The segment is designed to help listeners catch up on everything they need to know before kickoff, all with the conversational, opinionated, and community-driven perspective that defines Her Game Days.
