    Joan Kelly: Service Above Self

In this episode, I sit down with Joan Kelly—a nurse, entrepreneur, mother, and someone whose life and career have been shaped by service to others.Joan's career in medicine has taken her from clinical research and treatment during the HIV/AIDS epidemic to a leadership role in Massachusetts' COVID vaccine response. Today, she's an entrepreneur and the owner of her own medical aesthetics practice. But this conversation is about much more than Joan's career. We talk about faith and family, resilience, parenting, mentorship, health, and the importance of having people in your corner when life gets difficult. Joan also shares the story of her son Aiden, his recovery from two serious back injuries, and the role discipline and accountability have played in the man he's become. We also get into Joan's own philosophy on life—being willing to help, being honest with people, and doing the right thing even when it's not the easiest thing to do. There's plenty of laughter in this one, along with some meaningful moments that I didn't necessarily see coming. At its heart, this is a conversation about service, human connection, and showing up for the people around us. I hope you enjoy Episode 13 — Joan Kelly: Service Above Self. If you enjoy the conversation, please like, subscribe, share, and let me know what stood out to you in the comments. Compassion. Empathy. Ryan Durocher: A Hockey Life

In this episode of The Stuudio, I sit down with Ryan Durocher, assistant coach of the Merrimack Warriors men's ice hockey, to discuss one of the most remarkable seasons in recent college hockey history.Ryan takes us behind the scenes of Merrimack's incredible run from underdog to Hockey East Champion, sharing the leadership, culture, belief, and resilience that helped transform a team few expected to succeed into a championship program. But this conversation goes far beyond hockey. We explore Ryan's childhood, his journey through the game, what he's learned from coaching young athletes, the realities of recruiting in the NIL era, leadership lessons that apply far beyond sports, and the importance of relationships, character, and honest communication. We also discuss his recent marriage to Katie, balancing life in the spotlight of college athletics, and what success really means when the final buzzer sounds.Whether you're a coach, athlete, parent, or leader, Ryan's story is a reminder that extraordinary things can happen when people commit to something bigger than themselves.Stick around to the end for highlights from Merrimack's unforgettable Hockey East Championship victory over UConn. If you enjoy the episode, please like, subscribe, and share it with someone who could use a reminder of what's possible through hard work, belief, and perseverance. The StuudioCompassion • Empathy • Love • Laughter#TheStuudio #RyanDurocher #MerrimackHockey #HockeyEast #CollegeHockey #Leadership #Coaching #PersonalGrowth #StudentAthletes #NCAAHockey #Podcast #SportsLeadership #Resilience #TeamCulture #HumanConnectionStillMatters
