Baltimore, Maryland is the Next Hollywood (with Matthew, Rob, Josh, Liam, Paul Curtis, and Josh's Dad, Mike)

the longest episode ever. Two Solid Hours of Content. You're welcome.  "Never very funny, and the middle portion of the film drags terribly..." frenetic but weak-kneed and almost totally implausible The film may wind up a loser, Yeah we have penny pinching in the US, and nickel and diming would probably fall into a form of penny pinching in terms of a business. So while all nickel and diming is penny pinching (on the businesses part), not all penny pinching is nickel and diming. Yeah unbundling is the neutral/corporate/technical term in the US to describe nickel and diming whatever the industry. It's funny because reading your comment and typing this out, I was like yeah I feel streaming services sold the public on "unbundling" and "paying only for what you want" (terms they used) which always leads to nickel and diming. Like have had conversations with friends about this. So I did a quick search and sure enough found articles about it: Nickel & Dime is a 1991[1] American comedy film written by Ben Moses, Eddy Pollon and Seth Front, directed by Moses and starring C. Thomas Howell and Wallace Shawn.[2]   Walsh is a convention used in the card game of bridge in response to an opening bid of 1♣.[1] The convention has its origins in the Walsh System[2] developed by Richard and Rhoda Walsh.[3] In general, the Walsh convention is not used in four-card major systems such as Acol, but may be employed in some five-card major systems; especially those that use a prepared club, rather than better minor. The opening bid of 1♣ will therefore have shown either clubs or a balanced hand. When responder is too weak to force to game diamond suits are bypassed in favour of major suits, regardless of the length of the diamond suit. For example, holding ♠ AJ72 ♥ J74 ♦ K10653 ♣ 8, the response to the opening bid of 1♣ would be 1♠ rather than the normal 1♦. Continuations vary according to other details of the system being played. If Checkback Stayman is being played, then the auction 1♣ – 1♠; 1NT – 2♦ would show this hand and end the auction. If New minor forcing is being used, then 3♦ is used as the sign off bid instead. When the values to force to game are held, the procedure is abandoned, and suits are bid in the normal order. Responders reverse from diamonds into a major thus becomes game forcing. So, holding ♠ AJ72 ♥ AK4 ♦ K10653 ♣ 8, the auction starts 1♣ – 1♦; 1NT – 2♠. The main purpose of the convention is to avoid missing major suit fits when opener has something akin to a weak notrump, and would rebid 1NT over the normal 1♦ response. The major suit fit is likely to provide a safer resting place when the hands are weak, as well as potentially scoring better (a concern perhaps only at matchpoints). It is a form of Canapé and thus the responses of 1♥ and 1♠ to a 1♣ opener are alertable in the UK under EBU regulations.

Ep. 8 - (CLASSIC) two knuckle busters discuss the Implications of Suicide By Cop and Masturbation - TED (with nathan)

An episode from the football for Dogs vault. Recorded in March 2023. Episode 4 from the original run of the show. Didn't have the time to record one this week, so we're putting out a classic to keep the viewers happy. This is one of my favorites. I've gotta get back to being this funny again. How odd it is to be nostalgic for a time that wasn't even that long ago. Might watch Gattaca later tho if anyone's seen it lmk. It's similar in premise to Red Rising and i hated that book so much I just want to see the concept done correctly. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone. Love you all. Football For Dogs 4 eva.    ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: michael and nathan are back again to discuss the ins and outs of the fairly oddparents wiki,  knuckle busting in the face of catholic sex negativity, and, of course, football for Dogs. nathan cuts me off a lot in this one. He's so rude sometimes but i love that guy. After this episode he serenaded me with this one AJJ song i dont remember the name of but he was really good at it. i think i Accidentally mixed my sound louder than nathan but to be Fair the episode sounds like how it sounded to be me when i was recording it so Dont get me at me. we had a few drinks on this episode and we introduced a fan Challenge for all of nathan's super fans (female entries only, sorry Fellas). We don't talk about our forehead veins or how nathan used to look at mine when he talked to me at all. Nothing we say is even remotely offensive.

It stands by the western (downstream) point of the Île de la Cité, the island in the middle of the river that was, between 250 and 225 BC, the birthplace of Paris, then known as Lutetia and, during the medieval period, the heart of the city. The bridge is composed of two separate spans, one of five arches joining the left bank to the Île de la Cité, another of seven joining the island to the right bank. Old engraved maps of Paris show that the newly built bridge just grazed the downstream tip of the Île de la Cité; since then, the natural sandbar building of a mid-river island, aided by stone-faced embankments called quais, has extended the island. Today the tip of the island is the location of the Square du Vert-Galant, a small public park named in honour of Henry IV, nicknamed the "Green Gallant". The name Pont Neuf was given to distinguish it from older bridges that were lined on both sides with houses, and has remained after all of those were replaced. Its name notwithstanding, it has long been the oldest bridge in Paris crossing the Seine. It has been listed since 1889 as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture.[3] Construction Painting of the Pont Neuf project as approved by King Henry III in 1578. The bridge was completed in 1607 with a less ornate design. As early as 1550, Henry II considered building a new bridge at the Ile de la Cite because the existing Pont Notre-Dame was congested and needed repair. The idea was not advanced for lack of funds. By 1577, however, Henry III released funds from the national treasury for a new bridge and appointed a building commission for its designing and planning. Henry rejected the first design proposed by the committee, which included monumental arches, but no plan for buildings along the sides. The commission proceeded in 1578 with modifications to its initial plan, perhaps devised by the royal architect, Androuet de Cerceau. While Henry had already allowed for piers to be driven for the northern arm of bridge, the first construction under the 1579 design indicated a wider deck in preparation of buildings to be constructed on the side. The houses were never built, but the wide bridge deck was retained.[2] In February 1578,[4] the decision to build the bridge was made by Henry III who laid its first stone in on 31 May 1578,[5] the same year when the foundations of four piers and one abutment were completed.[2] Pierre des Isles, one of the builders, convinced the supervisory commission that the bridge, which was originally planned straight, would be more resistant to the river currents if its two sections were built at a slight angle. The change was adopted in May 1578.[6] Further design changes were made during the summer of 1579. First, the number of arches was changed from eight and four to seven and five. This was not a problem on the north side, where nothing had been built, but on the south, where the four piles and the abutment on the Left Bank were already laid, the addition of the fifth arch necessitated reducing the length of the platform on the island, the terre-plein, from 28.5 toises to about 19. Second, it was decided to allow houses to be built on the bridge (though they never were). This required the widening of the bridge.[7] The remaining piers were built over the next nine years.[2] After a long delay beginning in 1588, due to political unrest and to the Wars of Religion, construction was resumed in 1599 under the reign of Henry IV.[2] The bridge was opened to traffic in 1604 and completed in July 1606.[8] It was inaugurated by Henry IV in 1607. Like most bridges of its time, the Pont Neuf is constructed as a series of many short arch bridges, following Roman precedents. It was the first stone bridge in Paris not to support houses in addition to a thoroughfare, and was also fitted with pavements protecting pedestrians from mud and horses; pedestrians could also step aside into its bastions to let a bulky carriage pass. The decision not to include houses on the bridge can be traced back directly to Henry IV, who decided against their inclusion on the grounds that houses would impede a clear view of the Louvre,[9] which the newly built galerie du bord de l'eau linked to the Tuileries Palace. Pont Neuf was for a long time the widest bridge in Paris. It has undergone much repair and renovation work, including rebuilding of seven spans in the long arm and lowering of the roadway by changing the arches from an almost semi-circular to elliptical form (1848–1855), lowering of sidewalks and faces of the piers, spandrels, cornices and replacing crumbled corbels as closely to the originals as possible.[2] In 1885, one of the piers of the short arm was undermined, removing the two adjacent arches, requiring them to be rebuilt and all the foundations strengthened.[2] A major restoration of the Pont Neuf was begun in 1994 and was completed in 2007, the year of its 400th anniversary.

Football For Dogs Florida Fun Part 1 We talk about whether or not Ross was in the right to hook up with another girl while him and Rachel were on a break today. Carter is wrong about it. What's new. I don't even remember what his opinion was. Or if he even weighed in on it at all. Whatever. This has been a low week for one of the hosts of football for Dogs. maybe more than one. I do well on a tight leash cause i start to destroy myself a little bit if i have too much freedom. I love Janice from Friends. She wanted to go to Yemen for Matthew Perry. Crazy stuff. Life is not kind to everyone. She deserved better. Gonna have hamburger helper for dinner tonight. Ashley made it last night. Told my mom i would be eating a dinner made of 2 ingredients and watching Mamma Mia on DVD and she said "you really are your mother's child". sometimes life is funny and beautiful and wonderful even though im sad right now. Ep. 2 - the Gentle Life of a Lady Bug and other Pleasant Thoughts to calm your mind during a Harrowing Time with Ashley and Carter

Be Like the Gentle Lady Bug. And Don't Leave Your Dog In a Hot Car (and then joke about it on letterboxd for the better part of a year). ashley and carter join michael once again for a lovely discussion about the most pleasant things in the world. We don't touch on horrible situationships, lost love, forlorn longing, or anything of the sort. We're Happy. We're Secure in Ourselves. The Thoughts of What Might Have Been do not haunt us in the slightest, even on cold nights when we're as alone as can be and can still feel the impression their body left in the mattress.  Sure, we drink coffee at night. Sure, one of us is a career drug addict (I wont say who, Hehe). Sure, life is hard to live most, if not all, of the time. But we persevere. We keep going. Constantly borne back against the current or whatever fitzgerald said. You know the line. Anyway. What is life without love? Will I ever be happy? Hard to say at the current moment. I miss her deeply (but you didn't hear it from me). Probably gonna upload this and spend like 80 dollars on amazon that i shouldn't. That's life though. Like frank sinatra said bro. You know how it is.  Love will find all of us one day. We'll get what we deserve. Karma or something like that. For now i'll just keep doing my football dog podcast with my best friends, having fun, and planning for the future.  i hope you all live the gentle life of a pleasant ladybug. Truly from the bottom of my heart, i do. Football for Dogs for ever. See you next week. Love,  Michael

Ep. 1 - an analytical discussion of JG Ballard's Crash (1973) with Ashley and Carter

The OFFICIAL Return of football for Dogs. Season 2 Episode 1. Two years later. So much life has happened between now and then. Ahhh the joy of one's early 20s. Im sure we'll get into it soon. Fret not loyal listeners. All the juicy details of life including my home address, date of birth, mother's maiden name, first pet's name, make and model of the car i drove in high school, the full government names of my close friends and family, any of my card numbers, my ID number, my social, my heart, my soul, my mind, my body. I'm ready to give it all for and to the football for Dogs family. To this, I solemnly swear Season 2 will be louder, that is my promise. I've heard the complaints from all sides. The superfans and the haters alike. And they all say the same thing to me. Michael! Michael! Please make your beloved cult classic show football for Dogs LOUDER! I can hardly hear it!! And at this point the haters would say: "I can hardly get it to an appropriate volume to unfairly ridicule and critique this robust and unique radio program!" They say that to me all the time, verbatim. And the fans would say: "I want this to be louder so i can love it more! I want my neighbors to hear this wonderful show with the host i love so much and have grown so attached to, despite its relatively short run. I've even heard the dark episodes!" "The dark episodes?" i ask. "Yes," they say, "the season 1 episodes that aren't available any longer!" "Wow," i say. "That's crazy". All this is to say the show won't be better or more interesting but it will be Louder.  in this long-awaited comeback episode we discuss JG Ballard's Crash and the concept of a sort of primal sentimentality as it relates to the book and how the characters process emotion (or, rather, how they don't). The book is filled with clinical, distancing language which causes a world that should be familiar to feel alien, populated by people who have a desperate desire to experience but not necessarily to feel. in short i have been inspired by this wonderfully strange and perverse novel to get into a non-fatal but nonetheless devastating car crash. i can't force it tho it has to happen naturally. and Lastly,  Who Wants To Be The Second Half Of My Horse Costume This Halloween??? you have to be the back half of the horse tho cause i already called the front and you also have to go 50/50 with me on it. maybe like 30/70 you idk what my money is looking like around Halloween time but ill lyk.  Back next week. football for Dogs for Ever.
