Under the leadership of the emissary and with the support of local revolutionary committees, the group overcomes countless hardships along the way, carrying with them the determination, discipline, and unwavering spirit of men devoted to the struggle for liberation. Throughout this journey, an entire world of rural life in Vaspurakan unfolds before us, with its everyday concerns, human relationships, inner conflicts, and unexpected characters. Yet for a people who have lived under foreign rule for centuries, freedom and the struggle to achieve it are not perceived in the same way. Memories of past massacres and persecution have instilled deep fear in the hearts of many. While some are willing to make every sacrifice to defend their people's rights and dignity, others, driven by the terror of renewed atrocities, prefer to submit to the existing order, even blaming the revolutionary movement for the suffering inflicted upon their people. Through the clash of these two opposing mindsets, human characters are revealed, where courage and fear, devotion and betrayal are sometimes separated by a single decision.

    16- Խորտակուած Սիրտ մը - A Shattered Heart

Burdened by grief and loss, Sonia begins to discover the world that had shaped Vartan's convictions and purpose. Through his friends, comrades, and those who knew him best, she uncovers sides of him she had never fully known—a young man wholly devoted to the Armenian national liberation struggle, to justice, freedom, and service to his people. At the same time, she starts to see Yevgenia and those around her in a new light, realizing that a national awakening had long been unfolding beside her while she remained unaware of it. Immersed in a new environment filled with revolutionary ideals, sacrifice, and collective purpose, Sonia struggles to make sense of her loss. Yet alongside immeasurable sorrow, Vartan's martyrdom leaves behind a different legacy. As Sonia comes to understand the deeper meaning of the path he chose, she gradually begins to find her own place within a cause greater than herself, discovering a new sense of purpose and direction.

Secret Armenian schools reopen across the city, where Yevkine and other devoted young women dedicate themselves to teaching the Armenian language and preserving a fading identity. Amidst this changing atmosphere, preparations for Sonia’s wedding to Prince Alexei continue, while invisible tensions slowly begin to fracture the world Sonia had imagined for them. Torn between love, betrayal, and belonging, Sonia struggles to embrace the path she has chosen, only to confront the painful reality that she remains an outsider within the Russian bourgeois society surrounding her, as the dream she built for her future slowly begins to collapse. As the prince’s true character gradually reveals itself, Sonia is forced to face a painful truth. His unfaithfulness becomes not only an act of betrayal, but also the moment that shatters every illusion she carried within her — revealing that what tied her to him was never genuine love, but rather the fascination of his name, status, and the world he represented.     Գաղտնի շղթայ մը կ’աշխատի սահմաններու վրայէն, երբ զէնքեր կը փոխադրուին Պարսկաստանէն դէպի Արեւմտեան Հայաստան։ Արաքս գետը անցնելով՝ բեռը կը հասնի գիւղերէ գիւղ, վստահելի ձեռքերու միջոցաւ, մինչեւ որ կը կեդրոնանայ Թադէոս Առաքեալի վանքին մէջ, ուրկէ կը բաշխուի դէպի Երկիր։ Այս ընթացքին մէջ կը թափանցենք Վահէի ներաշխարհը՝ Արմաւիրի իր մանկութիւնը, հոգիին մէջ այն պակասը որ գործը չի կրնար ամբողջացնել եւ այն կապը, որ կը խախտէ սովորական սահմանները, բայց կը լեցնէ պատկանելիութեան հազուագիւտ զգացում մը։ Սակայն յոյսին կողքին կայ կորուստը։ Երիտասարդ մը կը վախճանի ճամբուն վրայ դէպի Երկիր, թողելով ցաւ, հաւատք եւ անկոտրում կամք։ Վահէի եւ մնացածներու միջոցով գործը կը շարունակուի՝ յիշողութեան, զոհողութեան եւ անդուլ կամքի ուժով։ A secret network operates across borders, as weapons are transported from Persia to Western Armenia. Crossing the Araks River, the cargo moves from village to village through trusted hands, until it is concentrated at the Monastery of Saint Thaddeus the Apostle, from where it is distributed toward Yergir. Along this journey, we delve into Vahe’s inner world—his childhood in Armavir, the emptiness within his soul that the sacred work alone cannot fulfill, and a bond that defies conventional boundaries yet fills a rare sense of belonging. But alongside hope comes loss. A young man dies on the road to Yergir, leaving behind pain, faith, and an unbreakable will.     Այս դրուագին մէջ, խումբ մը փախստականներ, որոնցմէ մէկն է Վարդանը, պիտի անցնին Ռուսական եւ Պարսկական կայսրութիւններու սահմանը հատելու վտանգաւոր ճամբան՝ Արաքս գէտը, մօտենալու համար իրենց վերջնական նպատակին՝ Երկիրին (Արեւմտեան Հայաստան)։Կը հետեւինք այս լարուած եւ անորոշ ուղեւորութեան, ուր կը հանդիպինք այն նուիրեալ, համեստ եւ գործնական նուիրեալ Չոփուր Արթիւշին, որ կը վարէ յեղափոխական այս դժուար գործին ծանրութիւնը։ Չոփուրը եւ իր նմանները տարիներ շարունակ իրենց կեանքը կը վտանգեն, կը ծառայեն գործին՝ առանց փառքի, առանց անունի, առանց յիշատակուելու։Միեւնոյն ժամանակ, Չոփուրը մեզ կը տանի նաեւ դէպի Վահէի անցեալը՝ բացայայտելով անոր երիտասարդութեան օրերը, երբ ինքն ալ կ'անցնէր նոյն վտանգաւոր ճամբան։ Գալով մինչեւ ներկան, երբ Վահէն որպէս առաջնորդ կը շարունակէ մնալ հաստատ եւ վճռական՝ իր անձնական զգացումները եւ ընտանեկան պարտաւորութիւնները մէկ կողմ դնելով յանուն աւելի մեծ նպատակի։Դրուագը կը հասնի իր գագաթնակէտին ողբերգական դէպքով մը, որ պիտի փոխէ ամէն ինչ։ Ճակատագիրները պիտի շրջուին, եւ անխուսափելի իրադարձութիւններու շղթան պիտի ձեւաւորէ մեր հերոսներուն ապագան։Արդեօք ասիկա՞ վերջն է մեր սիրելի Վարդանին... In this episode, a group of fugitives—among them Vartan—set out to cross the dangerous border between the Russian and Persian Empires by traversing the Araks River, drawing closer to their ultimate destination: Yergir (Western Armenia). We follow this tense and uncertain journey, where we encounter the devoted, humble, and practical Chopur Artyush, who carries the burden of this difficult revolutionary work. Chopur and those like him have risked their lives for years, serving the cause without glory, without recognition, without even being remembered. At the same time, Chopur leads us into Vahe’s past, revealing his youth, when he too walked the same perilous path. Returning to the present, we see Vahe as a leader—still steadfast and resolute—setting aside his personal emotions and family responsibilities for a greater purpose. The episode reaches its climax with a tragic event that will change everything. Destinies will be altered, and an unavoidable chain of events will shape the future of our heroes. Sarkis Aghber, as the deputy elder of Parakar, upholds Gevorg’s honor and announces the village’s decision. The brutality and inhumanity of the governor of Igdir, though resulting in a futile resistance, nevertheless become the cause of a turning point in Sarkis Aghber’s fate. In response to this act, a death sentence is issued against the “beast.” We then hear how it is carried out, with the participation of revolutionary members from Yerevan. Vardan finds himself facing a decision that will overturn his entire life. The first part of this episode ends in uncertainty—but not in failure.
