Stories Not to Take to the Grave ~ Soul Alchemy with Plant Allies

Michelle Rosetta

This podcast is inspired by the rich sharing of traditional wisdom and know how through story telling. My name is Michelle Rosetta, and I believe the remedy our communities deeply require for health and well-being is rooted in our own raw and unedited tales. Some of what we fear to speak or that which is seemingly mundane to us, is exactly what those around us may need to hear in the way we speak our narrative. I am a mother of four, an entrepreneur and a clinical herbalist. Plant medicine being one of the modalities I work with to assist my community. I have the tendency to make questionable choices, jump off things I shouldn’t, along with the uncanny ability to turn it around to land on my feet. It is not only in victory that deep healing lies but also in our mishaps and trials. Independently and with guests we will cover topics to support sovereign journeys to our best versions of wellness. I am not a doctor, and clinical herbalists are not licensed in Canada, anything discussed pertaining to plants, protocols, and health in general are for educational purposes only. Every…body is different. What works for one may not be the answer for another. It is your responsibility and duty to decide whether a course of action recommended to you, no matter it be by your family doctor or natural practitioner, is right for you. During this podcast we will grow our personal discernment abilities and learn to take off the layers covering the self that lies within, so we may listen in a more profound way. We are not perfect but on the verge of unearthing our greatest potentialities, and all it may take is a few words spoken with connection and authenticity to take our first step on the path to transform into a more truthful version of self.

Broken to Whole: A Veteran's Path to Healing With Cannabis

In this episode I take a look at Cannabis from a herbalist point of view. Our guest Tony Noakes, biker, veteran and retired fire chief, talks about what it means to walk through the fire, along with his journey to introduce this plant ally into his life and how it supported him to go pill free. Similar to many of our herbs, Cannabis was dismissed and suppressed in the 1800’s after a long and documented place in medicinal protocols throughout the nations. The earliest evidence of cannabis cultivation dates to over 10,000 years ago in modern-day China, Mongolia, and Kazakhstan. It was likely used primarily as a fiber, food, and as a ritualistic drug. The earliest documentation of medicinal use began with the legendary Emperor Shen Nung (2700 BCE), known as the “father” of Chinese medicine. He saw Cannabis as an alternative to magic in fighting disease. We discuss the complexities of this herb, along with learning how not only the energetics of a herbal protocol impacts results, but also whether it will create the environment for health and wellness. Not every herb is for every body. Tony discusses the four pillars of bike life and how this influences who he is. As an after thought I also see how truth and plant medicine are entirely aligned. The unveiling of truth on the planet, will equally result in medicinal justice and health. The Healing, Magic + Tragic Life of Bees | Beeswax is Liquid Gold for Skincare

In this episode, I talked with arborist and beekeeper Jasper Finn Drost. I review why I use beeswax in many of my products, along with introducing the supportive herbal benefits of our plant ally Solidago or Goldenrod for the urinary tract and respiratory systems. Does the tea really smell like stinky socks!? Jasper begins with answering my question about exploding bee endophalli and we discuss his perspective on the ethics of beekeeping. This is a conversation about community, mental health, clarity around ‘saving the bees,’ and necessary steps to protect the native bee populations. Jasper also relays some tips on how to keep going in ‘sticky’ situations and what he has learned about life from working with the bee community. I really didn’t know the reality of life in the hive. The drama, tragedy and purpose offers a fresh perspective and respect for this ethereal and hard working collective. #beekeeper #beekeeping #beelife #organicfarming #inspiringstories #intentionalcommunity #farmlife #clinicalherbalist #herbalism #plantmedicine #storytelling #goldenrod #plantally #beeswax #naturalskincare Connect with our guest: Instagram ~ @jasperthenationalnarc More About Your Host: Michelle Rosetta has over 20 years of experience in the natural beauty industry and is now a practicing Clinical Herbalist. Keeping it Dirty Off-Grid Style ~ Boost the Brain with Lemon Balm

In this episode I throw off the dress and step into some overalls to talk with Harmony Evans from Wild Ginger Farmstead, an off-grid farm in Echo Bay, Ontario. I was feeling the drain of the city, and as I watched it show up on my skin I knew some much-needed barefoot time with hands in the earth was urgent. I headed out to Wild Ginger Farms to restore and recharge. We introduce the medicinal tool kit that Melissa officinalis or lemon balm has to offer, while Harmony relays her first day alone on the farm, along with the realization that this venture may be somewhat more difficult than anticipated. Harmony’s mission is to grow food for her community while listening to what the spirit of the land along with all the communities involved in that biosphere requires and wishes, will begin to bridge the gap that has developed between nature and harvesting; human and our terrestrial mother. It is our job to rediscover the role of the human as a part of our environment in this grand living tapestry. Harmony also offers an unexpected tip to keep going when we may want to give up. This episode is the inspiration you need to do difficult things, and believe that you can make it work. #farmstead #homesteader #organicfarming #inspiringstories #intentionalcommunity #farmlife #offgridliving #clinicalherbalist #herbalism #plantmedicine #storytelling #lemonbalm #plantally Connect with our guest: Instagram ~ @wildgingerfarmstead Facebook ~ Wild Ginger Farmstead More About Your Host: Michelle Rosetta has over 20 years of experience in the natural beauty industry and is now a practicing Clinical Herbalist. Captain Bill Spills the ‘T’ on Secret Stairways + Kona Coffee in the 90's Financial Sector Excess

The medicine, or poison, is in the dose. In this episode, we learn how the coffee bean accompanies Captain Bill, a retired American Express sales executive now marine captain, through his firsthand humorous, seemingly haphazard beginnings during the rise of the 90’s excess in the Chicago financial sector to the eventual fall of empires and devastation for many. He spills the tea on the mission to hemorrhage money, tax loss carryforward ventures, secret stairways, and yacht boardroom parties. I allowed the coffee bean to direct this recording, and there are so much background sound and mishaps. My arms move wildly, and after we lost Captain Bill due to tech errors his sound comes back with a crackle. This is what a podcast looks like on coffee for me. Captain Bill’s delivery, nonetheless, is like a reset for the parasympathetic nervous system or the ‘rest and relax’ function. We learn about the herbal actions of the coffee bean, along with the consequences of overconsumption. As promised a DIY liquid coffee toner to tighten and brighten your skin. To make this coffee face toner you will need:  Freshly brewed coffee  An empty bottle  Cotton pads 1. Take some freshly brewed coffee (organic if possible) and place a cup of it in the fridge to cool. 2. Let it cool for at least one hour. 3. Once cooled, transfer to a clean bottle. 4. Pour some cold coffee onto the cotton ball and dab onto a clean face, focusing around tired areas such as eyes. 5. Leave on for 15-20 minutes and rinse with cold water. 6. Pat dry and follow up with a natural moisturizer. Check out our Hotty Balm at bee23.ca After use, put this bottle inside the fridge, as a cool application feels super refreshing. #entrepreneur #financialsector #financialsecrets #coffeebean #coffee #salesman #the90s #wealth #americanexpress #executivelife #clinicalherbalist #herbalism #plantmedicine #storytelling #nontoxicbeauty Connect with our guest: Cell ~ (773) 576-5918 email ~ bingtoy@hotmail.com More About Your Host: Michelle Rosetta has over 20 years of experience in the natural beauty industry and is now a practicing Clinical Herbalist. The Day I Met My Wolf With Plant Ally Red Clover - Hormones, Liver Detoxification & Eczema

In this episode, I recount a slightly cringey childhood story taking place in a noticeable 80's motif. This is the day that I first met my wolf. I tell my tale making note of the plant allies that had accompanied me. We learn about the nature of Poplar and Birch trees, and their role in Anishinaabe and Finnish culture. I briefly point out the multi-dimensional nature of words when they move from, or through, the human body into a narrative, along with the power associated. Trifolium pratense or Red Clover comes with me on this adventure and I cover the medicinal qualities this herb has to offer. Fire, Shame & Worthiness | Tips to the Road Less Travelled

In this episode, I’m joined by my plant ally, Urtica dioica or Stinging Nettle, along with Megan Khuu, the founder of The Happy Healing Heart. She is a spiritual coach and energy healer who combines intuitive guidance, Reiki, and crystals to help empower people to release old stories, rediscover their worth, and realign with their true energy and purpose. This recording caught the fire and thinning veils of the end of October. I touched on subjects that I now question whether I should have spoken on. Megan delivers a raw account of the moment she realized her six-figure career was killing her and the experience of facing shame along with the eventual embodiment of her chosen entrepreneurial journey. Megan discloses how she utilizes her ethereal caring and cruel phantom aunties to guide and motivate her. We also discuss not only the opportunity, but the power found in following a less traveled role in your community. Megan weighs in on the eight pillars of wealth that may not be what you think. What I Learned In a Moment of Weakness! Be Wary the Weight Loss Patch + Plant Options

In this episode, I’m joined by my plant ally, green tea, and Kolby Romard to discuss the popular Berberine + NAD 10-in-1 microneedle patches, which are marketed for weight loss, firmer skin, and a range of other health benefits. We examine the risks of companies exploiting consumers through questionable claims and undisclosed ingredients. We also explore concerns about the GLP-1 class of drugs, including brands like Ozempic, and the adverse reactions associated with them. We also talk about why a slower, gentler approach to caring for the body with whole plants may be more beneficial in the long term than seeking harsh, fast results. Along the way, we share several plant-based options that may support your personal health and wellness journey. What's the Download on Divine Timing, Mugwort and Mushrooms!!?

In this episode Kolby Romard, the founder of Love Reflected, and I get together for a more informal observation about what’s going down in our current month. Kolby creates a clothing brand built to inspire confidence, self-worth, and connection through the message of self-love. We discuss themes such as divine timing that appears to be a present pertinent lesson. Divine timing is not always perfectly planted roses and what we hope for. However, it is a very important guide in our growth and to our path of greatest potential, along with protecting us from ourselves when necessary. I discuss what I learn from Mugwort and how this grandmother put me in my place, for my benefit and those around me. I also talk about a recent fungi experience and potentially my unskillful choice that led to an important lesson about allowing oneself to be misunderstood. Kolby shares entrepreneurial tips about getting out of your head. She discusses the importance of people disliking us, and how this strengthens our team; those seen and unseen in our human experience. Kolby also touches on ways can we stay sane and grounded while participating in life and exploring the realm of Spirit. She also touches on ways can we stay sane and grounded while participating in life and exploring the realm of Spirit. Along with why Kolby was struck by Allan Watts and taking notes listening to Gary Vee! It is also very interesting to me that my idea of self and how I perceive the world has already shifted greatly from this recording. I feel we are in a time of immense growth and inner standing. With this said, there is no need to change up parts of such content as it is a rolling narrative and such is the point of this podcast – to dig through the layers, get dirty and talk about it along the way.
