We Moved Past You (Colin Kaepernick/Jay-Z

SAY LESS, SAY MORE — EPISODE 40: WE'VE MOVED PAST YOU This week on the Say Less, Say More Podcast, the crew tackles one of the most complicated questions surrounding Colin Kaepernick's legacy: Is Colin Kaepernick an activist, a grifter, or a symbol whose message has outgrown the man himself? Ten years after Kaepernick became one of America's most recognizable athlete-activists, the crew asks what comes next. Is activism about remaining visible, or can the work continue without the activist constantly being in front of the camera? What is Kaepernick actually asking people to DO today? And when does monetizing activism become turning activism into a business? We also put Kaepernick's legacy up against Jay-Z's argument that "we've moved past kneeling" and ask the uncomfortable question: What comes after the symbol? Then we take the conversation even further: 🔥 THE KAEPERNICK HYPOTHETICAL: If the NFL had allowed Kaepernick back into the league, would his activism have looked the same? ⚖️ THE COUNTERARGUMENT: Are we confusing visibility with activism? If Know Your Rights Camp continues doing the work when the cameras aren't around, what more are we actually demanding from Kaepernick? 🎤 THE FINAL QUESTION: If Colin Kaepernick had never kneeled in 2016, but we were shown only his body of work from the ten years since, would we identify him as an activist? Before the Main Event, the crew gets into: ❤️ RELATIONSHIPS: Can your friends be alone with your spouse? Where does healthy friendship end and inappropriate boundaries begin? 🌐 SOCIAL MEDIA: How fake are you allowed to be online? We discuss the Daejon Love case and the increasingly blurry line between curating your life and completely fabricating one. 🏈 NFL WEEK 1: Biggest takeaways, biggest overreactions, and Week 2 locks and upsets. 🏆 SLSM NFL PICK'EM: Think you know football? Prove it. Join the free Say Less Say More NFL Pick'Em and compete against the crew all season. The top fan wins a prize and a shout-out on the podcast. 🎬 JACK'S MOVIE CORNER: Radical Jack continues the 100 Greatest Movies journey, talks movies, performances, classics and new releases, and puts two movie legends head-to-head in another THIS OR THAT. 😡 WHAT DOES 2-5 HATE THIS WEEK? You already know somebody is catching a stray. 🎙️ QUICK HITS: Vulnerability becoming entertainment, personal questions becoming viral content, and whether we'd actually be willing to put our own private lives on the internet for everyone to discuss. Episode 40 is designed to build toward one conversation. Colin Kaepernick. Activist. Grifter. Symbol. Legacy. Maybe the crew reaches a consensus. Maybe they don't. That's the point. Three guys. Three perspectives. No requirement to agree. Open dialogue expands intelligence. Say less… SAY MORE.

    Who Deserves Forgiveness

This week on the Say Less, Say More Podcast, the crew goes deep on forgiveness, accountability, cancel culture, sports, hip-hop, relationships, movies, and the everyday things driving us crazy in 2026. 🔥 THE MAIN EVENT: Are We Losing the Ability to Forgive People? Has social media created a culture where people are permanently judged by their worst moment? Can someone genuinely grow beyond something they said or did years ago? We debate the difference between forgiveness and forgetting, whether apologies still matter, how much changed behavior should count, and whether accountability is supposed to correct behavior—or punish someone forever. And then we flip the question back on ourselves: What's something you once believed that you would hate to be permanently judged for today? Before the Main Event, the crew gets into: 🎤 HIP-HOP: Is The Game really beefing with Kendrick Lamar—or is he just looking for attention and engagement? 🎃 CULTURE: Target pulled a controversial children's Halloween costume after backlash over imagery resembling Blackface/minstrel caricatures. How does something like this make it through a major corporation? Is an apology enough? 💿 THE OVERRATED CLASSIC: What's an album everyone calls a classic that you think is overrated? No safe answers. 😡 WHAT DOES 2-5 HATE THIS WEEK? Another victim enters the danger zone. ❤️ ReZ's RelationTip: “Friends should be Friend-ly.” A practical relationship conversation about boundaries, friendships, and couples. 🎬 JACK'S MOVIE CORNER: Radical Jack continues the journey through the 100 Greatest Movies and talks Marvel, Doctor Doom, and the movies leading up to the MCU. Plus: Morgan Freeman vs. Samuel L. Jackson. 🏈 SAY LESS SPORTS: Can former professional athletes return to college sports? With the SEC and Big Ten moving toward restrictions on former NFL, NBA, and WNBA players returning to NCAA competition, the crew debates amateurism, eligibility, competitive advantages, age gaps, and whether college sports are even still “college sports.” 📱 WHAT'S EVERYONE TALKING ABOUT? Walmart finally rolling out tap-to-pay in 2026 has us asking: Why did that take so damn long? We also get into subscriptions, QR-code menus, parking apps, customer-service bots, and all the other things companies somehow make unnecessarily complicated. 🏆 SLSM NFL PICK'EM: Think you know football? Come prove it. The Say Less Say More NFL Pick'Em is FREE to join, with cash, merch, bragging rights, and a weekly chance to beat the crew. This is Say Less, Say More—three guys, three perspectives, and conversations where we don't always agree... because that's the point. Where Do I Belong?

Have we officially peaked as a society when it comes to creativity? This week on Say Less, Say More, the crew dives into music, movies, television, art, culture, the internet, and sports to ask one big question: Are we running out of original ideas? From remakes, reboots, sequels, samples and nostalgia-driven entertainment to algorithms and corporations playing it safe, we debate whether today's creative landscape can still produce the timeless moments of previous generations — or whether we're simply romanticizing the past. Then we get into a major culture conversation: Are all Black Americans actually "African American"? We discuss race, ethnicity, nationality, cultural identity, terminology and what the label means for Black Americans whose families have been in the United States for generations. We also tackle the unique challenges of raising mixed-race children — including identity, hair, appearance, colorism, cultural exposure, family acceptance, code-switching and what it means to navigate being "not Black enough" or "not white enough." The internet is talking, and we're talking about it too. Why don't people dance anymore? Have sections, phones, social media and the pressure to look cool killed the dance floor? Are we experiencing nightlife anymore, or are we just documenting it? And then it's Joe vs. Donell Jones Verzuz. Who has the bigger catalog? Who has the better records? Who aged better? Who has the most "OH SH*T!" songs? And what does this matchup say about the state of R&B — and the argument that music may have already peaked? Plus: 🔥 What Does 2-5 Hate This Week? 🎬 Jack's Hot Take: Spider-Man hits $2 billion and what you need to watch before Avengers: Doomsday 🏀 Say Less Sports 🏈 Is NFL preseason becoming pointless? 🏈 College football is almost back — what are we most excited to see? 🎙️ Crew Check-In, group banter, hot takes and plenty more. This is another episode of Say Less, Say More — where we say less about nothing and WAY more about everything. Listen. Watch. Subscribe. Follow. And tell us what YOU think.

    Same Rules Different Treatment

The crew is back with another episode of Say Less, Say More, and this week we’re asking a question that might be uncomfortable because the answer could be… yes. We start with the WNBA and the heated conversation surrounding DiJonai Carrington and Sophie Cunningham, including Carrington’s comments about white privilege, the way Black and white players are treated by fans and media, and how race and culture continue to shape the WNBA conversation. We also get into the larger transgender debate and ask whether the WNBA has become one of America’s newest culture-war battlegrounds. Then we take a look at bottom-feeder culture and the internet’s obsession with rage bait, crash-out culture, dysfunction and controversy. Are the worst people becoming the biggest cultural influencers because the algorithm rewards bad behavior—or are creators simply giving audiences what they want? And then there’s Drake. Is Drake one of the greatest rappers ever while simultaneously being one of the lamest people to ever be that good at rap? From the 20-v-1 stream to the latest controversies, we discuss Drake’s legacy, authenticity, Kendrick Lamar’s impact on his public perception, the beef that refuses to die, and whether success has protected Drake from criticism. We also talk about Dalton and Sako, influencer relationships becoming public content, and whether audiences are entitled to explanations when something appears to go wrong. Plus, ReZ brings the relationship conversation home with RelationTips, exploring the difference between sharing your relationship and giving the internet access to it. We also discuss the College Football Coaches Poll and whether the NBA got Christmas Day right. Add in Radical Jack’s movie reviews, Christopher Nolan and the future of original movies, quick hits, internet foolishness and plenty of arguments along the way. This is Say Less, Say More. Check out more Two-Five on Sports Reports as Ordered, live on Tuesdays and Fridays at 845 ET. The Pursuit of Forever will be back soon.

    Durags and Bonnets

The trio you never knew you needed is back! 2-5, ReZ, and Radical Jack are back with another episode of Say Less, Say More — and this week, the conversation goes everywhere. We’re talking Black professionalism, accountability, Black excellence, sports, wrestling, culture, relationships, social media, and some seriously questionable opinions. 🔥 This Episode: Black People & Professionalism — What happens when accountability, workplace expectations, and cultural identity collide? We break down the conversation surrounding a Black business owner, a teenage employee, and the challenges of trying to help someone while still expecting them to follow the rules. Then we get into the controversy surrounding Tuskegee University's classroom rules, including its restrictions on durags, bonnets, sleepwear, and cell phones. Is this about professionalism and preparation—or are we putting unrealistic expectations on ourselves in the name of “Black excellence”? Does every woman have an inevitable wall she can't clear? 🎭 Culture — We discuss the inevitable wall we all eventually run into, plus the anniversary of the Montgomery Brawl. 🎙️ What Happened This Week ? “Marriage is for broke people” and the question nobody wants to answer: Should undesirable people just STFU? 🔥 What Does 2-5 Hate This Week? 🎬 Jack's Hot Take — Spider-Man 4 is the new king of the MCU! ⚡ Quick Hits — Stop comparing your journey to somebody else's. Run your race, stay in your lane, and remember that somebody else's timeline isn't your timeline. 🏈 Say Less Sports — Jack gives Russell Westbrook his flowers, but are there some opposite views? And, as always, expect plenty of debate, jokes, disagreements, hot takes, and conversations that probably should've stayed in the parking lot. We're just three guys with three different perspectives, trying to bring a different way of thinking to the conversation. Open dialogue expands intelligence. We discuss how AI is changing everyday life, whether the future is something to embrace or fear, and where we think technology is headed. In Say Less Sports, we react to the debate surrounding the Top 50 NBA Dunkers, discuss why the endless Kobe vs. everyone conversations may finally need to end, and ask whether the NBA should ever adjust its schedule to accommodate LeBron James. The crew also catches up on the latest happenings from WWE Raw and SmackDown, highlighting standout moments and what's next in professional wrestling. Episode 34 – Are Double Standards Real? LeBron's Future, Caitlin Clark, WWE, Jay-Z & More This week on Say Less, Say More, the crew is back with another unfiltered conversation covering relationships, sports, culture, and everything in between. We kick things off by asking a question that always sparks debate: Are the rules different when it comes to interracial dating for men and women? We discuss the double standards, family expectations, celebrity influence, social media's role, and whether dating preferences are truly personal—or shaped by society. Next, we tackle how social media is changing accountability. Has everyone become the hero of their own story? Are apologies genuine anymore, or just performative? We break down why accountability seems harder to find in today's online culture. In Say Less Sports, we dive into the latest speculation surrounding LeBron James' future and debate whether another championship would change his legacy. We also discuss the growing conversation around Caitlin Clark, physical play in the WNBA, and whether the criticism she's receiving is fair. The crew also reviews the latest WWE Raw and SmackDown, discussing the week's biggest moments, the best and worst booking decisions, and whether it's finally time for a new generation to take over. In our culture segment, we talk about Jay-Z's legendary Yankee Stadium appearance, his lasting impact on hip-hop, and whether anyone today carries the same level of influence. We wrap up with a recap of a thought-provoking discussion from The Joe Budden Podcast about success, hometown loyalty, and whether it's possible to outgrow where you came from. Plus, fan-favorite segments like What Does 2-5 Hate This Week?, Jack's Hot Take, Rapid Fire, and ReZ's RelationTip of the Week round out another entertaining episode.
