    Finish the Battle

FINISH THE BATTLE | 1 Samuel 15 Speaker: Sis Danielle Haden | Northern Rivers Pentecostal Church Have you ever thought you'd overcome something in your life, only to find yourself facing the same struggle again? It might be anger, unforgiveness, temptation, pride, or an attitude you thought you'd dealt with. Sometimes there's a difference between winning a battle and finishing it. In this message, Sis Danielle Haden takes us through the account of King Saul in 1 Samuel 15. God gave Saul a clear command concerning the Amalekites, but although Saul won the battle, he failed to obey God completely. He spared King Agag and kept what God had commanded him to destroy. His story reminds us that partial obedience is still disobedience, and that the things we leave unresolved can have consequences. Moving into the book of Esther, we see the contrast between Saul, who gave in to the pressure of others, and Mordecai, who refused to bow before Haman. Their accounts challenge us to consider whose voice we're listening to and whether we're allowing fear, pressure, or our own desires to influence our obedience to God. But the greatest example of complete obedience is Jesus Christ. Philippians 2:8 reminds us that He became "obedient unto death, even the death of the cross." Saul left his battle unfinished, Mordecai stood firm, but Jesus finished the work at Calvary. Through His victory, we have the strength to overcome the things that once controlled us. Romans 8:13 teaches us that it's through the Spirit that we put to death the deeds of the flesh. God doesn't simply want us to manage the things He's calling us to surrender. He wants to change us through the power of the Holy Ghost. Whether you've been serving God for years or have only recently begun your walk with Him, there's still room to grow. What battle are you facing today? Is there something you've learned to live with that God is asking you to surrender completely? This message encourages us to stop making excuses, stop giving room to old struggles, and allow God to finish the work He's doing in our lives. If this message encourages you, share it with someone who may need to hear it. Northern Rivers Pentecostal Church Love God. Love People. ONE GOD, ALL NATIONS |

ONE GOD, ALL NATIONS | Revelation 7:9 Different nations. Different languages. Different backgrounds. But one God, one gospel, and one promise of salvation. In Revelation 7:9, John sees a great multitude standing before the throne of God, made up of people from every nation, kindred, people, and tongue. Despite their different backgrounds, they're united in worship, celebrating the salvation they've received through Jesus Christ. In this special All Nations Service at Northern Rivers Pentecostal Church, we celebrate the different cultures and nationalities represented in our church family while exploring something far more important than where we come from: where we're going. The Bible tells us that God has made all nations of one blood (Acts 17:26). Regardless of our nationality, culture, or upbringing, we all share the same need for God's forgiveness and salvation. Jesus Christ came into the world to make that salvation available to everyone. Jesus told Nicodemus that we must be born again of water and of the Spirit (John 3:3-5). On the Day of Pentecost, Peter explained how to respond to the gospel through repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:38). And this promise wasn't just for those gathered in Jerusalem. Acts 2:39 declares, "For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." Whether you've grown up in church, recently begun seeking God, or have never experienced the new birth, this message is a reminder that God's promise is still available today. Our calling isn't simply to celebrate the nations, but to reach the nations with the gospel of Jesus Christ. One God. One gospel. One promise. And that promise is for you. If this message encourages you, share it with someone who may need to hear it. Northern Rivers Pentecostal Church Love God. Love People. THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STORM

In Mark 4, Jesus tells His disciples, “Let us pass over unto the other side.” Along the way, a storm comes, the boat begins filling with water, and the disciples start to fear for their lives. But the storm wasn't the destination. When they reached the other side, there was a man there who desperately needed Jesus. A man nobody could tame. A man living among the tombs. A man whose life had been controlled by something he couldn't overcome on his own. This message looks at what happens when we become so focused on the storm that we forget Jesus is still taking us somewhere. Sometimes we don't know what is ahead. We don't understand every part of the journey, and we can't always see what God is doing beyond our present circumstances. But our limited view doesn't limit Him. In this message we also look at the difference between helping people and trying to do what only Jesus can do. We can encourage, support, pray, and point people in the right direction, but only Jesus can truly change a heart. The man who had been living among the tombs ended up “sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind.” Jesus still saves, forgives, delivers, and changes lives. DIG AGAIN | Northern Rivers Pentecostal Church

DIG AGAIN | Northern Rivers Pentecostal Church In Genesis 26, Isaac discovered that the wells dug in his father Abraham's day had been stopped up by the Philistines. Rather than abandoning them, Isaac began to dig again, clearing away everything that had been placed in those wells so the water could flow once more. In this message, Pastor Brian challenges us to consider what we're doing with the spiritual inheritance we've received. Previous generations prayed, preached the gospel, and faithfully passed on the truth of God's Word. But we can't live on someone else's experience with God. We must develop our own personal relationship with Jesus Christ and take responsibility for passing that same Apostolic faith on to those who follow us. This message challenges us to consider three important responsibilities: Receive the truth faithfully.Experience it personally.Pass it on clearly.Whether you've grown up in church, recently begun your walk with God, or recognise that your prayer life and relationship with Jesus have been neglected, this message is an invitation to dig again. The source hasn't failed, and the truth hasn't changed. The same God who worked in previous generations is still working today. It's time to dig again! RECLAIM THE HARVEST

RECLAIM THE HARVEST In Judges 6, Israel was living in the land God had given them, but they weren't enjoying the harvest. They were still sowing. The land was still producing. The seed was still working. But every time increase came, the enemy moved in to destroy it. The problem wasn't the seed. The problem was what had been occupying the field. In this message, Reclaim the Harvest, we look at Gideon and the condition of Israel under Midianite oppression. Gideon's handful of wheat proved that the field could still produce, but God hadn't called him to spend his life hiding behind a winepress protecting what little remained. God called him to confront the enemy and reclaim the land. The same challenge remains for the church today. The Word of God still works. The gospel still works.Prayer still works.Preaching still works. The name of Jesus still has power. We can't allow the size of the harvest we're seeing right now to determine what we believe the field is capable of producing. Every soul matters. Every baptism matters. Every person filled with the Holy Ghost matters. Every backslider who comes home matters. But the handful isn't the limit of the field. It's time to pray, preach, teach, invite and believe like there's still a harvest. The gospel still works. The seed still works. The field can still produce.
