    The 2027 Lineup is taking shape — and it's complicated | Ep.44

Episode 44 is HERE — and Eurovision 2027 is getting VERY interesting. 🎙️🇧🇬🌍 Canada is coming. North Macedonia is back. The Netherlands is returning. Ireland is staying away. Spain is still deciding. Iceland and Slovenia remain uncertain. And Kazakhstan and Kosovo wanted in — but the EBU said not yet. In this episode, we take a closer look at the countries shaping the Eurovision 2027 line-up and ask the big question: who will actually be on that stage in Burgas? First — 🇨🇦 Canada is making its Eurovision debut! We look at how Canada finally made its way into the contest, what its first participation means for Eurovision, and what we can expect from the country’s very first entry. Then — 🇲🇰 North Macedonia is BACK! After four editions away, the country returns to Eurovision. We look back at its Eurovision journey, its memorable moments and what its comeback could bring to Burgas. And — 🇳🇱 The Netherlands are returning! But there’s a twist. AVROTROS decided not to participate, while the Dutch public broadcasting system has now confirmed that the Netherlands WILL be in Eurovision 2027. So… how exactly did that happen? And what does this mean for the future of the Dutch participation? Then things get complicated. 🇪🇸 Spain is still on the fence. RTVE’s president has recommended maintaining Spain’s withdrawal — but the final decision has not yet been made. 🇮🇪 Ireland, meanwhile, is officially OUT. RTÉ has confirmed that it will not participate — or even broadcast Eurovision 2027. We look at the reasons behind the decision and what another year without Ireland means for the contest. 🇮🇸 🇸🇮 Iceland and Slovenia are still undecided. Will they return to Eurovision 2027, or will we see more withdrawals? And finally — 🇰🇿 Kazakhstan wanted in. But despite its long-standing interest in Eurovision, the EBU has not opened the door for Kazakhstan in 2027. We look at why, what Kazakhstan’s relationship with the EBU looks like, and whether we could eventually see the country on the Eurovision stage. And of course, we bring everything together to ask the BIG question: Is Eurovision 2027 getting bigger — or is it becoming more divided? We also have a brand-new “Who’s In, Who’s Out?” Eurovision Challenge — testing your knowledge of the countries joining, returning, withdrawing and still keeping us guessing. New countries, comebacks, withdrawals, drama and plenty of unanswered questions — Eurovision 2027 is already giving us a LOT to talk about. 🎶🇧🇬 🎧 Watch & listen to Episode 44 now on all major platforms and join the conversation on social media! 📅 New episodes every Wednesday at 8:00 PM CET — glitter and drama guaranteed to beat the midweek blues! #Eurovision #Eurovision2027 #PodItAway #Burgas #Bulgaria #EurovisionNews #EurovisionPodcast 🎉 Music provided by Achilleas Kalantzis / Suncord Audiolab. EBU changed the rules - Here's what it means | Ep.43

Episode 43 is HERE — and the Eurovision rulebook just got an update. 🎙️📋🇧🇬 Every year the EBU reviews its rules. Most years the changes are minor. This year is not one of those years. For Eurovision 2027, the EBU has introduced three changes that are genuinely significant — and together they tell a story about where the contest is heading. First — hosting. The winning broadcaster is no longer automatically guaranteed to host the following year's contest. New rules allow the EBU to determine that a winning country cannot host due to armed conflict, sensitive geopolitical situations, or security concerns — with the possibility of an independent assessment and an alternative host broadcaster. We discuss why this rule exists, what it means in practice, and walk through some very interesting hypothetical scenarios. Second — audio. The EBU has clarified what "live" actually means on the Eurovision stage. The lead vocalist must perform the main melody live. Backing tracks remain permitted — but they cannot replace or unduly assist the live lead vocal. We break down every element of the new rule and ask the question everyone is thinking: where exactly is the line? Third — age. The minimum age for competing artists rises from 16 to 18 — specifically, on the day of their first rehearsal. We look at what this means for countries that traditionally select younger performers, and take a short look back at the notable under-18 artists who would have been affected by this rule. We also bring the three changes together to ask the bigger question: are these mostly clarifications, or do they represent a genuine evolution of Eurovision? And we close with a Rulebook Challenge — five True or False questions based exclusively on the new rules. Rules, debates and hypotheticals — this one has it all. 🎶🇧🇬 🎧 Watch & listen to Episode 42 now on all major platforms and join the conversation on social media!📅 New episodes every Wednesday at 8:00 PM CET — glitter and drama guaranteed to beat the midweek blues! #Eurovision #Eurovision2027 #PodItAway #Burgas #Bulgaria 🎉 Music provided by Achilleas Kalantzis / Suncord Audiolab. ESC 2026 figures are in - Bulgaria is gearing up | Ep.40

Episode 40 is HERE — and Eurovision 2027 is officially in motion. This week we have everything. The official numbers from Vienna 2026 are in and we discuss everything about the 70th Eurovision Song Contest figures. And then there is Bulgaria. The EBU's own Director said it — there is no other case like it in the history of the contest. In the space of three days, the host city bidding process officially launched with Sofia and Burgas emerging as the favourites, Martin Green visited Bulgaria and handed over the official Welcome Pack, and the government organising committee held its first meeting. Bulgaria means business. We also look at Sanremo 2027 — dates confirmed, new host confirmed, and rumours of a dedicated Eurovision selection night. Azerbaijan's fans have launched a petition with over 1,300 signatures demanding a complete reform of the country's Eurovision selection process after four consecutive semi-final eliminations. And South Korea — an official announcement suggests the winner of the Asia Eurovision Song Contest could participate in Eurovision 2027 in Bulgaria. We discuss what that actually means and how excited we are about it. Numbers, preparations, petitions and K-pop — this one has it all. The queue is growing - Who's joining Eurovision 2027 | Ep.38

Episode 38 is HERE — and everybody wants to go to Bulgaria. 🎙️🇧🇬 Vienna may be over, but the Eurovision 2027 story is already moving at full speed. This week we have a packed post-contest news roundup — and the theme is clear: more countries want in, and everyone has opinions. Kosovo has issued its strongest case yet for EBU membership, with RTK's Acting Director General writing directly to the EBU ahead of the Prague General Assembly on June 25 and 26 — where new membership categories could finally open the door. Slovakia was spotted in the Vienna press centre and their Director-General has confirmed publicly: they will return to Eurovision, sooner or later. The Netherlands situation is getting complicated — AVROTROS is still waiting for the EBU evaluation, but Omroep Max has now stepped forward and said: if AVROTROS won't go, we will. DARA has publicly invited Turkey to return to Eurovision — in neighbouring Bulgaria, where the cultural ties run deep and the timing could not be more perfect. Boy George has announced he wants to write the UK's entry for 2027 — and we have a lot of thoughts about that. And Bangaranga? Still conquering the world — number one in Germany for the first time since Euphoria in 2012, top five on Spotify Global, and over 20 million streams in its first week after the Grand Final. New countries, old friends, and one very iconic British pop legend — this one has it all. 🎶🇧🇬 Listen and watch now on all major platforms and join the conversation on social media. Eurovision 2026 the aftermath - Controversies, comebacks and 2027 | Ep.37

Episode 37 is HERE — and the Eurovision 2026 story is far from over. 🎙️📺🇧🇬 Vienna may be done, but the drama? Absolutely not. This week we dive into everything that has happened since Saturday night — and there is a lot. First — the controversy that has been dominating the post-contest conversation. Videos emerged online of Russian singer Philipp Kirkorov claiming his team was involved in preparing DARA's winning stage production. Everyone directly involved has denied it. But the story is not going away — and we have thoughts. Then — Moldova. The Director General of TRM resigned following a massive public backlash over the Moldovan jury's decision to award only three points to Romania and zero points to Ukraine — while the Moldovan public gave Romania the maximum 12. One of the most striking jury vs televote splits we have ever seen, and it cost someone their job. We also look ahead to Eurovision 2027 in Bulgaria — the host city race is already underway, with Sofia, Varna, Plovdiv and Burgas all in the running. Which city should get it? And the participation news is already flowing. North Macedonia and Luxembourg are confirmed for 2027. Hungary's new Prime Minister has signalled a possible return after six years away. And Belgium's VRT has warned it may not compete unless the EBU holds a direct vote on Israel's participation. Controversies, comebacks, and the first steps toward Bulgaria 2027 — this one has it all. 🎶🇧🇬 Listen and watch now on all major platforms and join the conversation on social media.
