    Tyler Brickley & The Kindness Mob: How this TikTok community is changing lives

    Pretty sure we have the universe to thank for connecting us to Tyler Brickley. His whole mission is spreading kindness, and it gives us all the feels ⤵️ Tyler started the Kindness Mob on New Year's Day 2023, driven by a simple yet powerful question: What if the first comments on a video were kind instead of cruel? Frustrated by the ease with which negativity accumulated in comment sections, Tyler realized that the internet could be a more supportive space. His small initiative quickly gained traction, leading to an incredible community of close to 400,000 members who actively leave kind comments on nominated videos. Imagine if the first 10 comments on a video were all kind instead of cruel. That's the vision behind this initiative. It started as a simple idea: counteract negativity with positivity and support. The impact? An average of 750 kind comments per recipient, many of whom never realize the kindness mob is behind it.     Ashley-Lauren Elrod: how I channeled my trauma into advocacy with "Maya's Magic Word"

    This week, we got really lucky to snag some time with the incredible Ashley-Lauren Elrod! Ashley-Lauren is an Emmy-nominated producer and trauma-informed intuitive healing professional. Pulling from her personal experiences, she is a prominent voice for childhood abuse + assault survivors. Her work has led her to collaborate with prominent organizations like the Chicago Children's Advocacy Center and the National Children's Alliance. As the founder of Visionary Woman Productions, Ashley-Lauren creates impactful campaigns that address critical issues, including child safety. She had a realization that she was in what she calls a "high-control group", often referred to as ... a cult. She exited years ago, and that came with major life-altering changes she openly explains in detail. To leave meant to lose touch with her whole family, but it also meant being true to herself. She was finally able to embrace her queerness -- her favorite thing about herself.
